  1. We too discovered it by accident and it has received a ton of use since! This thread doesn't need to be in the photos section though...
  2. Not helpful to guys, but I feel justified now that I didn't get nav and got a tomtom xl for $60 instead and can swap it out for an upgrade at anytime.
  3. I dont have voice control but I did get to try my iphone on the uconnect today and it seemed to work great! Took a minute or 2 for the browse and stuff to work, but the album covers and stuff all seemed to be fine.
  4. My crew does not have the flash light. It might not be a legit crew though, I remember looking at the features list and it looked like the dealership had taken the sxt and added most of the crew stuff before they had the real crew models. I didn't order my crew, my sxt was written off and its all they had so I just took it. Still, I love it just the same and stuck a $3 LED flash light in the bin. :D
  5. What does it matter? Do you often have the need to jump from a moving car? :P
  6. You might not be when the PTU seals pop and leave you on the side of the road! Both of mine were FWD, and both of them did not give a **** about snow.
  7. Pictures would be nice! I got stuck with the 19s on this journey too (my last one had the 17s on purpose! ) , and though they look awesome I share the tire fear. I think there is a post where someone used 235 winters on their 19s and it looked ok.
  8. Well, the other side to that is it is covered under warranty for up to at least 20k. I had my first key (the old style fob, 2010) done at the dealer specifically because it died way too early. But it was all covered and free. If you do it your self, you have to fork out 3 bucks for the CR2032 (found at any local computer store btw, computers use this battery for CMOS) and there is a chance you might scratch the board and have to get it replaced at the dealer anyways. I took my 2011 key apart for fun, wasn't hard. But for sure, if you have the warranty still, you should make use of it. You already paid for that new battery you need.
  9. I dont think it sets it apart from anything. Really makes it look like the Torrent. I think what sets it apart is the awesome new features and interior (and engine!). Having owned both a 2010 and a 2011, thats the winner for me. Spend more time looking from the inside out then the outside in. Also, mine didn't come with it, but as you can tell, it bothers me not!!
  10. I wasn't given any codes or anything. I just described the problem and they did a search for any updates and that was the only one. But yes, the primary fix in the update description was for garbled text. Good luck!
  11. Good news! FIXED! I had mine in to get the wheels swapped back to the fancy ones and had them look at it. There is an update for "Garbled text that may appear on the screen". Obviously not related, but they did it anyways and it fixed the problem. It now remembers the last setting it was on.
  12. My mom and a friend of mine have the Patriot, and I drove a caliber for a while, the cvt isn't bad. No idea on the 4 speed though. Personally, go for the V6 man, its worth it.
  13. That is exactly like mine! I hope you love it as much as I love mine!

    2011 R/T

Congrats on both accounts! Welcome to the forums, hope your *journey* is a good one! (pun intended)
  15. I just got this letter for my 2010 that was written off. Perfect timing!!! haha
  16. I phoned my dealership's service department and the guy said "there should be a way to set it, bring it in and we will look at it". I probably wont be doing that until my first oil change. Still under 1000KM at the moment so that wont be for a while.
  17. If I were you, I would get the remote start installed. That way you get your car warmed up before you hop in.
  18. Ah, according the manual, on the Evic you have to go to the units menu and change it from English to Metric. I will have to try that out tomorrow... Edit: Oh, I noticed the OP already tried that. Hmm.... Edit 2: Ahh yes. I remember now, the units menu is whats missing. Grr...
  19. I really enjoyed my 2010. You should push for a good discount now the 2011s are out though. As already said, try hard to get the V6. The 4 cylinder is very disappointing, my neighbours want to trade theirs in.
  20. Silver Crew for me! I think its the base model (no bluetooth or sunroof), but I love it anyways! You can check out my photos here... Welcome to the forums!
  21. Tirerack only lists Kumho tires for them still. But I love the style of the new 19s that came on my crew. Way cooler then the 17s that were on my 2010. For winter, just get 16 (225-70-16) or 17" (225-65-17) steel rims and the matching tire and move on. You don't want to run the 19s in the snow anyways as the salt will ruin the finish. Now if you ever blow a tire in the summer time, that will be interesting...
  22. My gas cap is yellow and says Gasoline / Ethanol 85.
  23. You bought a first year model of a new car design. You should expect there to be something wrong. From what I gather, they have switched parts suppliers. There is a post on the forum from a service tech saying the old pads weren't compressed fully or something to that nature causing them to fail prematurely. Of course Dodge wont throw out old stock so it may be a while before the new ones get cycled into service. If it is truly a concern, spend the $100 and move to aftermarket parts so you can forget it ever happened.
