  1. I'm hoping this works. I have a separate Sirius Radio that I used in my Nitro before I got the Journey with Sirius built in. The Sirius radio, when I set sports alerts for my teams, it would pop up a little banner on the bottom of my screen anytime that one of my favorite teams were playing a game, that was being broadcast on Sirius. So NFL scores for my selected teams were always scrolling, the NASCAR top 5 will always scroll if there is a race on. I'm hoping the built in Sirius in the Journey will do the same thing, but I'm not sure. The one thing I noticed however, even with my Sirius radio unit, it would only show updates/scores from teams that I've selected if their game was being broadcasted on Sirius somewhere. Unfortunately I've yet to be able to test it in the Journey, because there's no football yet and I don't believe the Journey allows you to select NASCAR for updates.
  2. LOL! Glad I'm not alone, it drove me crazy at first too until I figured out that it was the favorites feature on Sirius that was beeping when I was in FM radio mode. Not sure why it still beeps if I'm not in Sirius mode, but, whatever!
  3. Not only does the Crew have an SD slot, but it also has a USB slot inside the front console between the front seats. I've got a 16gb USB stick in there loaded with MP3's. At first i was disappointed there was no hard drive as my 08 AVenger had one and I loved it, but now I love the USB port so much more. Much easier to transfer songs back and forth from my PC to my vehicle. Before with the HD I'd transfer them from my PC, to USB, then to the HD in the car. Now, its just plug and play. Love it.
  4. Mine has been doing this ever since it started getting warmer out. I have a 2011 Crew. It's just awful, so loud, so ear piercing. It does seem to go away after a while, but there's really no method to their madness. They tend to do it most when i first start the vehicle and start to drive, and eventually it goes away. Other times, I start it up and they're fine, but about 20 minutes into my drive it starts doing it then. It's getting really irritating. I just started getting my oil change due notices when I start the car up, so thankfully it's going in for an oil change and I'm going to have them look into the brakes issue too, because it's driving me mad. I've only got 6000km's on it also.
  5. Just last night I recently starting having this problem as well. Feels like the transmission is going to drop out from the vehicle. When it shifts up from 3rd to 4th, its rough, and its noticeable, but when I'm stopping and it goes from 4th to 3rd its 10 times worse, like the entire vehicle shakes. Not cool at all. I'm heading in tomorrow to see about a fix. Did they do anything to help resolve your issue?
  6. I got the update installed on mine, its great! The dealership told me though that this update is working on some to keep the display on km/h or mph, depending on whatever your last setting was when you shut off the vehicle, but apparently it is not working on some other's to solve that particular problem. So it may be hit and miss for some. My only problem now is I have an incredibly rough upshit, and downshift from 3rd to 4th gear... the whole vehicle shakes, feels like the transmission is just going to drop out of it. Not good... not good at all, back to the dealership I go again tomorrow...
  7. I do so far, only thing I dont like is that the damn EVIC always defaults my speed to MPH, instead of KM/H. I always have to change it everytime I start it. Very irritating. Still no fix from my dealer.
  8. Here's some pics I snapped of it the other day... Click the thumbnails for full sized..
  9. So, back last summer my lease on my 2008 Avenger was up, and I wanted to get away from a car and go to a bigger vehicle with more room, and I wanted to be sitting up a bit higher. At the time I test drove several times a 2010 Journey SXT. I loved the vehicle, and its space inside, and its style outside, but I despised the interior. Im a bigger guy, I'm 6'4", 215 and the interior up front in the 2010 was a disaster to me, the way the center console and the radio stuck out was brutal when it came to restricting space and leg room. Much to my disappointment it made me pass on the 2010 Journey. Long story short, I ended up buying a used 2007 Nitro as a temporary solution. A little off topic here, but I LOVED the Nitro, I just hated putting gas in it the way gas prices are currently. So, when I heard Dodge completely re-did the interior on the 2011 Journey, I just had to go take a look, and I ended up buying it, here's my impressions... When my salesman (who i've known for years because I worked for the dealer for several years prior) first opened the door, he was thrilled to show me the new inside of the Journey, however when I looked at it at first glance, I wasn't to thrilled. I thought it looked strange. I took it for a ride anyways, and absolutely fell in love with it. The new dash, is very nice. The new 8.4" touch screen, is incredible. The new EVIC between your tachometer, and speedometer is very nice, the seats are comfy, all in all, after time, it completely grew on me. What I really enjoy, is how quiet the vehicle is. Under acceleration, I still, a week after getting it have to look down to make sure the car is still running, its that quiet on the inside. No wind noise, hardly any engine noise, and a smooooooth ride all in all. I'm blown away by it so far. Then top that all off with no need for keys with the push button start, and the keyless entry that automatically unlocks the doors for me when i touch them with the key in my pocket, and the USB port built into the vehicle that replaces the old Mygig built in hard drive system, and this thing is just a great, great vehicle all the way around. My only complaints so far, the EVIC seems to always default the digital speedometer to MPH, I'm in Canada so I need it in KM/H. You can change it with the click of a button, but once you turn off the car, and restart it, its back in MPH again. It's rather iritating. My dealer is working on a solution for this now. The only other thing that bothers me, I feel the rearview mirror on the windshield is too big. It blocks an awful lot of the view for me out of the windshield, especially during right turns. Its easy to look around I guess, but a pain nonetheless. I'll snap a few pictures of it tomorrow and pop them up here so some of you can check it out. All in all, so far, one week in to my life with the Journey, I'm very very pleased with it. Great vehicle, great features, and all at what I thought was a very good price/value at under $30k. Edit: Sorry Mods, I see now that I should have put this into the Owner Impressions forums. Please feel free to move it, or I can repost it there for all to see! Sorry!
  10. So glad there is a thread here on this already. I got my 2011 Crew last week, and it is driving me nuts that the speedometer in the EVIC always is in MPH every time I start the car. I too, called my dealer today for a solution after digging through the "manual" and clicking my way through every option screen I could find in the uconnect menu's. Hope my dealer comes up with something soon, or one of yours does. Can't wait to find a solution!
