They've replaced "UConnect" with "UConnect Touch" and "UConnect Touch with Voice". You need to add the voice option for it to be comparable with the older UConnect you're used to.

I think your stereo shop is misinformed... there's no way the speakers are connected to the deck via fibre. If that was the case, then each speaker would need its own power source, amp, and DAC to process the signal. I don't even think they make speakers like that. In addition, they go on to say that changing the speakers would change the system impedance. Fibre optics don't produce an impedance... but a traditional speaker does (e.g. 4ohm, 6 ohm or 8ohm speakers). Something's wrong with what they have said. What I expect is that 3rd party wiring harnesses might not be available yet to connect 3rd party equipment to the deck, or they just don't know how to disassemble the dash. But the speaker upgrades should be a piece of cake as long as you buy the same impedance as the factory units.

I have an R/T which I ordered on the 28th as well (although I think the dealership actually placed the order into the system a few days later). Anyway, I originally had a delivery date of April 13, and now it's been bumped to the 21st. I hope there are no more delays! Also, this stuff about the fascias and bluetooth is ridiculous... they should have had these parts available well before the first unit rolled off the line.

Hi everyone... I started shopping for an SUV a couple months ago. We were expecting our second child, and it was time to upgrade from my 2 door coupe. Anyway, I ended up placing an order for a 2011 R/T with flex seating, boosters, and bluetooth. I can't wait to pick up this new car! Here's the best part... I checked the vehicle build status today, and it was built on Tuesday (J-status). Tuesday was also the birthday of my new son! I'm thinking Dodge owes me a birthday gift for this great coincidence!
