  1. I will have a looksie in the manual when I get home...
  2. My 2011 is also missing the bluetooth (and the nav unit). The kits aren't available yet to add it afterwards though (according to my dealership anyways). I was thinking of getting this to hold me off: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/motorola-bluetooth-in-car-speakerphone-t505/10099940.aspx?path=624a5f3f0409c7afe29e720a5db84fc0en02
  3. Cool! Which dealership did you get it from? I too am from Ottawa and typically deal with Metro.
  4. I will probably take more pictures on the weekend. Maybe make a video of it and put it on youtube since there doesn't seem to be many that really show it off.
  5. From my understanding the computer adjusts the transmission shifts to match the driver. This may be a case of the computer stopping it to prevent unexpected over acceleration or something. Might be worth phoning the dealership to check it out. The 2009s had firmware updates to fix shifting issues - I am not sure if the 2010s did.
  6. Welp, as I said in another post, my 2010 was wrecked and I bought a 2011. Got to take it home today... Just awesome. I don't want to hurt any new 2010 owners because the 2010 is still a great car but man I do I ever love my 2011. There is definitely a lot more pickup and the new suspension gives a noticeably different drive (I think it is for the better). The steering seems stiffer and thus more responsive. The interior is what everyone is saying it is - to die for. I even dig the new 19" rims it came with. Edit: Pictures are not in the flickr in post down below.
  7. My 2010 FWD SXT just TORE through snow. I loved it. Traction control blinked now and then but never caused me any problems. I had Blizzack DM-v1s on it and will be putting them back on the new 2011 I get next week - great tires. Sorry to hear your AWD isn't what you were expecting! Take the car back and get the 2011.
  8. Can do! I went and saw it and boy was I impressed. Thew crew edition is just awesome. They are supposed to be better on gas, but I can't really compare. I didn't even have 8k on the 2010 journey but I did drive the caravans for a while and I was expecting to pay what I was paying for the journey so it never really bothered me. I am most excited for the remote start really. The girlfriend had locked her keys in the 2010 while it was running the week before I was in talks with the dealership about installing a remote start. Perfect timing. :D
  9. Me too! Me too! But alas, that journey is dead. I will have to see how the 2011 does when I get it next week. All new power train...
  10. Lmao. Oh my, that really did make me laugh. That was actually the first thing I said when I got to the accident. Awesome. Looks things are on track for me to get my new Journey early next week. The depression is leaving and the excitement is rushing in. I am going to go look at it tonight actually. :D
  11. Well, the 2010 Journey was amazing. I didn't even get a year out of it but I loved every trip I took in it. My girlfriend was hit while driving and the car is being written off (see attached photo). I got lucky though as my dealership has a brand new silver 2011 crew edition sitting on the lot. So of course I put my name down it. The 2011s are VERY different from the 2010s and everything I can find says its for the better. I don't think there is anything extra on it from the crew model. Here are the specs: http://www.dodge.ca/en/vehicle_home.php?np=Journey&mc=JOU_CRW Wish me luck!
  12. Do like everyone else and get 16 or 17" rims and cheaper tires.
  13. Did they come with rims? 225/70R16s on 16" rims puts you the same as 225/65R17 on 17" rims.
  14. It did eventually come on. Side note, we had our first real snow the day after and it was doozy. I was super happy to have them on driving home that night, passed many accidents. These tires are fantastic - super grippy.
  15. Well, I we got the tires and rims, and got the garage to mount them (it was free and we are expecting snow next week, so why not). But I am confused.... The warning light didn't come on for the tires like there was sensors installed, but I didn't order the sensors (the valve stems were 3 bucks each on the receipt so I am pretty sure I didn't pay for them at least). Going for a drive tomorrow, hopefully the car will wake up and realize they aren't there (if it doesn't, that means the computer is borked, right?). I will phone the guys that did it if thats the case. The blizzacks look great and have incredible grip. So far I am happy with the purchase!
  16. Well I pulled the trigger and ordered the Blizzack DM-V1s, 225/70/16 and a set of rims. Wasn't cheap, $1167, but hopefully it was worth the dollar to get some nicer tires.
  17. Well, I know I wont be buying TPMS sensors for my new rims if I get them. But after being quoted $1200 at the dealership and $1000 at canadian tire, I may end up just getting the tires this year and rims next year. What is everyone else doing for the frost?
  18. Well the dealership gave me a super awesome quote of 1200 for rims, tires and installation / balancing. Then they quoted me $100 a tire for TPMS sensors. What an awesome phone call that was. :hysterical2: I will be phoning Canadian tire and some other local shops next...
  19. I need to get winter rims and tires pretty soon. Do I need to get TPMS installed on the rims? The caliber needed them otherwise it would tell me I had no air in my tires every 10 minutes. The journey doesn't have an as advanced TPMS system though (the caliber shows the air pressure in each tire and stuff where the journey says a warning light will come on if one is low).
  20. I just had a big road trip with my journey and dumped 2000kms onto the odometer over just a weekend. I checked the oil when I got and it was still full but the girlfriend just informed me the change oil light came on this morning on her way to work. Should be around 4000kms on the truck. Does that seem right? The other dodges I drove didn't have an indicator but the dealership always did it at 5K on the stickers. I am debating wether I should get the first one done at dealership or not just in case...
  21. Have you checked the manual? The has to be a way to take them out... I don't know though - mine is only the 5 seater.
  22. Here in Ontario I see them everywhere. My neighbours have one, and there are some more down the block. I see at least 3 a day that aren't mine on the road!
  23. Mine came with side rails and no cross rails! I would like to know where I can get just cross rails for cheap.
