  1. Just thought I would put this here. The pump blew up on my wife, roughly 32K KM. Unlike the 2010s common hose issue, this actually was the pump. Towed and they replaced the pump all under warranty.
  2. I haven't measured the journey yet but I might be headed out to get a used fridge. The dimensions of the fridge are around 30"w x 65"h according to the seller. Has anyone attempted a fridge in the journey before?
  3. Well I just thought I would check and see if anyone else had battery issues on their 2011 and it looks like I am not alone. Wife had a fun time getting to work yesterday as the car wouldn't start. When I got home I called roadside and they came and gave it a boost and it started right away. I put it on charge for an hour and a half and left the block heater on over night. Started right up for her today. If it happens again I will be bringing it in for a new battery. Going to put it on charge for another few hours tonight just in case (I know its not enough fully charge it, but I don't want to leave it unattended in this neighborhood overnight).
  4. I hit 20k on my 2011 crew and a pad self destructed driver side rear and left me with a grinding noise. I replaced the rear rotors and pads (got ceramics) for $100 in parts and an afternoon on the hoist with the father in law. It looked like a piece broke of of the pad and was stuck between it and the rotor. Either that or a rock got in there and caused it all. Afterwards we could barely turn the wheel because the rotor had warn uneven (it was the start of a 4000Km road trip :P).
  5. When my 5' tall fiancé walked away after writing off (air bags deployed and all) our first journey in a t-bone accident (other driver at fault) we knew we would buy another. Crazy safe car and the insurance rates reflect it.
  6. Just to update on mine... Someone was nice enough to swipe the drive side rear of my car in a walmart parking lot which damaged the bumper, rear panel and the door. The previous fix had already come loose so I thought here was my chance to get it fixed again. The car came back new, the bumper was fixed, repainted and reinstalled, looked great. Didn't last long though, just a few months after and its popping out again. Not sure if I want to fix it my self, take it in again, or just ignore it. Short of tape or glue there is no official fix. It's just bad design. I love my journey, this is honestly the only thing that really bugs me. Can't all be good I suppose.
  7. They replaced the "Radio / telematics gateway module", part number 5091134ZH. It was working when I left the dealership, we will have to see if it was the fix over time I guess (it's not super cold right now). Edit: Days later and still working!
  8. They ordered the fm module i guess (not the 8.4 unit). I am sure it wont fix it, but atleast they are doing something now...
  9. Finally got some time to take it back in. It is going in on Monday to get looked at again.
  10. Just to add to this, my problem quickly returned after this. Too busy to take it back in for another round.
  11. So the reprogrammed my computer back to stock and refunded me the $30. The speedometer is about 1:1 with the gps up to about 100kph, then its around 2 to 3 off as I hit 115 through 120 which over all is much better (it was off at low speeds after the calibration too). Unfortunately, they didn't want to talk to me about it. Wouldn't say what their calculated percent was or nothing. They said the technician must have just put in the wrong number. Lame.
  12. Ok, so I called back and demanded they fix it and refund my $30. It is going back on the Saturday.
  13. Off by 5 kph. Doing 115 on the speedometer and the GPS says 110. I will be raising hell first thing in the morning.
  14. I don't know what they set it to or what it was... The only thing I can think of is that it was off before for some reason. The receipt says: "SET PINION FACTOR TO ACCOMODATE WINTER TIRE SIZE... 13 CM 0.50" With the cost here... I will have to hook up the tom-tom and see if its really off now or spot on...
  15. I bought DM-V1s (225/70/16) and put them on 16" rims like many others did for winter rims. I had them on my 2010 journey but I had the place I bought them from install them. When the car got wrecked, I had the dealership move them to my new 2011 and they said nothing about it, and nothing about it when I had the summers put back on. Today, I just had it in to put the tires back on and do the fall maintenance package (oil and such) and some other things. I got a call saying they had to set the pinion factor because the tire size is 2 sizes too small. I argued that it wasn't and even double checked the tire size calculator but they argued back. Anyone else have to pay this?
  16. I just got back from my dealer. Apparently their test showed my problem was related to the radio not having my VIN programmed in. They programmed it in and reset everything and it seems to be working. They did not do the flashes listed above... They did do 2 RRTs though, 11-069 (PCM for long crank time) and 11-082 (BCM for the battery problems).
  17. I too have this problem, but it wasn't just in the morning. I was thinking it was just mad at us for using the satellite radio for too long. If you get it fixed, I would love to know the solution!
  18. So they fixed up the paint and put new clips on. It's better for sure, but its not quite lined up like it was. I am going to put my blinders on for now so I don't die of OCD panic.
  19. Well, they ordered some new clips and stuff. They also mucked up the paint on it but its ok as they are going to repaint it. It's going back in on Wednesday for the whole operation.
  20. Welp, I am going in tomorrow. This is crazy unacceptable. I am also getting my breaks looked at too for the squeal (round 2). My 2010 did not have these problems. *sigh*
  21. Well, they took apart my front right brake and cleaned / reassembled it and that seemed to have done trick. For now at least anyways....
  22. If you search around the forum there are a lot of topics like this. Quite a few people (including my self) went down to a 16" rim with a bigger tire. I have the Blizzack DM-V1s, 225/70/16, and they were worth every penny.
  23. A friend of mine and thought it might just be cheap rotors (I do have the same problem, started around 2000kms, at 5500 now). Seems to be just after sitting for a few hours. The thought of it being a stuck caliper makes me want to take it in though. Please do let us know if that fixes it!!
