Eduardo831 reacted to Brandon Bella Bell in Coil Packs keep going bad
Turns out it was the PCM and not the coil packs, I ended up having to take it to the dealership and have them run a diagnostic on it to figure it out. They wanted to charge me $500 to fix it plus the diagnostic fee. Here is a link to the company i ordered mine from and its actually $200 cheaper now than when i had to replace mine, go figure. Hope this helps

Eduardo831 got a reaction from Bryman31 in no airintake replacements?
Sure Ill post a picture later today and TOP plenum is where the throttle body is mounted on the journey is made of some sort of plastic composite on other vehicles plenums are made of aluminum or steel just various.

There are intakes that will delete both restrictive resonators on the Journey. RPM-Motorsports in Arizona provides them. I purchased one in my opinion it wasn't worth the price I bought it for 200 dollars I did notice the throttle response was on point other than that more noise and mpg was the same. If they were to change its price to 80-100 dollars then I would think it's worth it. Installation wasn't bad but top plenum must be removed for RPM motorsports resonator intake delete to be installed properly.

Eduardo831 got a reaction from 2late4u in When coming to a stop quickly engine cuts out
It basically tells you your car hasn't been warmed up enough but if it's doing it while driving I would definitely take it in I haven't had the pleasure to work on a diesel but please post up results of what was going on could be a faulty sensor/coolant is bad etc...

Eduardo831 got a reaction from 2late4u in Installing Backup Camera
Assuming you have the 8.4 U-connect and are trying to use that screen you have to get it activated from the dealer so give them a call depending where you live they will charge you one hour labor service even though its a 10-15 min activation process.

Another thing to confirm is that the power source is switched. I have the home link on my sunvisor which does not get power with the vehicle off and the antitheft armed

Thanks for the info bramfrank I'll definitely look into it and report back in my findings. And what you said makes sense I do know that the Homelink uses direct power from the cars battery so only issue would be making sure the wires or plugs are the same or spliced.

Homelink modules tend to be stand-alone, so it SHOULD be as simple as replacing the sun visor, though I have no idea whether the wiring harness has the connector to plug it in there - certainly there is power to run the makeup light, but is it the SAME power feed? Does it have the same connector?
Worst case? You resell it.

Yes i had this happen only difference was that I have after market mufflers. One of my hangers was cracked and needed to be reweld. It even made noise when closing the door. The shop I took it to added two hangers instead of one on each side.

Eduardo831 reacted to Cody Chornobey Powley in Update my retrofit
Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything due to the fact that I almost died at work. Ended up cutting my wrist open. Next To my main artery hit a few tendons and a bunch of nerves. This was due to porcelain tile falling off a wall. Anywho. I've updated my projectors. With new switchback shrouds that I painted to match my journey and added some underglow. Feedback is much appreciated!!! For those that do not know what switchback means. This means when I use my turn signal they turn Amber and flash with my turn signal and go back to white when the signal is off

I don't think I'll black them out, but if I don't wash it every weekend the brake dust pretty much makes the wheels black. Haha.
I'm thinking that I should paint the calipers though. Either black or red.

Left is the drivers side right will always be passenger side. Any vehicle parts are labeled by the drivers side point of view looking out the front windshield.

Don't drive it you will warp the cylinder heads. If I had to guess 1.thermostat if it is bad if your lucky it's not opening properly 2. If it's only overheating at stop/ traffic lights then your electrical fans are not working. 3.water pump is not working/ leaking 4. Blew your head gasket

Eduardo831 reacted to bramfrank in 2013 Journey 2.4 and possible head gasket...
Why? He has a brand new gasket and his head's been planed. Should be good for another however many miles.
Of course, if one is looking for an excuse to replace a vehicle . . . .

Whats Up Everybody!!
Just wanted to showcase my 2015 Journey SXT
I did...
- Headlight housing swap
- Black grill
- Black 22" Wheels
- Tint
The interior in My Journey is a cream leather with black accents and orange stitching, is this a special edition interior?? I haven't seen any with the same interior as me but I know its not aftermarket because its done too nicely.
