I'm familiar with the general installation procedures (like those on youtube) but none are specific to the Journey. jkeaton Posted January 16, 2015 Report Share Posted January 16, 2015 Usually the dome light wires run up the a-pillar. Not sure which wires or what side. Probably have to pull the trim pieces off to find them first, then backprobe the wires to find the correct ones. SeoulJourney Posted January 17, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 I haven't be able to find a wiring diagram anywhere. I'd hate to do some probing without some sort of guide. I'm going to install the lights underneath the side skirt and hook it up to the dome lighting. That way, when you unlock the doors, the ground lights up as well. I searched and found the one for my 2010. http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/2009-2010/dodge/journey/628.html It looks like I can go through either the driver's A-pillar or TPIM in the engine bay. I had no idea until I popped the plastic trim off the A pillar on my Nitro to replace the dash speakers. There, nicely tucked in, was an air bag! Should have taken a selfie! Disconnect the neg terminal on your battery and wait a while for all the capacitors to power down! I had one set of underdash come on and off woth the dome lights, another dimmer set that came on with the headlights for a nice soft glow in the footwells at night. Typically you need to start at the top because the panel is held in by the dash. Starting at the top, pop out all of the clips down to the dash.
