so how is everyone's leather seats holding up? mine are the leather and cloth inserts ion my 2014 I remember every one was concerned with their seats that had creases in the leather inserts that they would crack over time,,which did have me a bit concerned about that except the wrinkles and creases  to me looked like it was the original leather condition, I have used the Mopar leather conditioner along with a store boruth leather conditioner as well,,,,MINE have held up real good with no damaged or seat wear, know the vinyl arm rest and the middle arm rest both have some small cracks started in them but I finally realized they were my fault as I would catch myself using my elbows to push down on them when I was adjusting/shifting in  my seat position on long trips. I know my 2001 truck with fabric seats have held up in really great condition even tho I sold it to my stepson and he doesn't take care of the inside and then have gotten ind of greasy but I have every so often cleaned his truck and they do clean up great....I have noticed any Toyota truck from 2005 - 2012 the rivers seat are always torn or ripped with the foam breaking down as well same with nissans as well

Yeah the journey interior trim is above ave imo. Ours was used 4 yrs old when we got it, sales rep car so well looked after.  Lots of scuffs but no tears yet, about 170k miles of use now, I'm over 200 pounds. The southern heat is harder on interiors than the northern cold; in my experience. UV light just bakes everything faster. But salt belt bodies are always a bigger problem.

Our passenger seat is the flip up gun storage option. It would be easy to change if it ever got really bad. My lithium jumper battery is kept there, handy. The leather seats have had a few wipe downs of conditioner during our ownership.

Was in a neighbors 2019 Subaru Legacy Outback the other day, drivers seat has several large holes and coming apart. Looked awful.  Like your saying, some of the newer cars seats are being made cheaper. And fixing a seat is not easy to do.
