5rebel9
Did you EVER have the sway bar end links replaced when struts were replaced OR at any other time during the car's 15 year lifespan ????

With that many times of replacement for both struts AND sway bar end links, I would go beyond the idea of poor quality parts. Time to start having the sway bar mount bushings and subframe mounts CLOSELY inspected, since and alignment shop would check for loose steering parts before an alignment being done. BUT also at 15 years of age, there is the possibility of ball joint going bad, being that they are positioned opposite of what most cars are{ball stud down} they are not the easiest to check. NOTE: I did NOT say to start just replacing such parts.... A good close inspection first. the old "parts cannon" tends to get very expensive!!! 2late4u
so when do you hear the noise ona flat road or going over bumps like a speed bump or a pot hole, dodge journeys have a problem with the OEM strut top bearing mounts causing a rattle or clunk even going slow over a speed bump or turning a tight corner,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what kind of struts were you replacing with,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,OEM is more expensive but better quality as well,,,,,your problem must be something else other than struts if they have been replaced with different sets as well,,have your mech check out all the body mounts as well there are on each side that are near the edge off their body around 1 foot in from the side it is a rubber mount spray that with a quality silicone spray and also spray your sway bar mounts as well that will quiet mine down for a long time after spraying them
John/Horace
My guess will be a bad lower ball joint. People have had them fail as early as 50k miles. Labor cost is more than the part, but a cheaper fix than a pair of unneeded struts. I went through two passenger ball joints before ever doing the driver side, kinda odd.
