so i took it back to mechanic he put a new throttle body on it, we picked it ip 5 minutes later did it again so he ordered different brand throttle body and it is still doing it!! He told me he dont know what to do, he said take it to dealership!  Lord knows i dont want to do that.anyone have any idea what else could be going on?  It has brand new gaskets etc been replaced 3 times now he put 3 throttle bodys on all do the same thing.

I had the P2173, red lightning bolt and the ESC light 3 years ago, the fix was to change the intake manifold gasket, you can try in yours it may fix the problem and is inexpensive and easy repair.

What are the Possible Causes of the DTC P2173 Dodge.
Large Vacuum Leak

Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection Faulty Throttle Position (TP) Sensor ⚠ D

Some map sensor failures have been documented on site, $30 part.  Need to diagnose problem.
