hi

my friend has a 4 cylinder dodge journey 2010 and im trying to help him

the car has lots of hesitstion, stalls, stalls while driving, high rpm looks like transmission doesnt shift gears or something, cruise not working basically car unsuable

so many issues just trying to figure out what could be wrong.. maybe

he had codes about cam sensors he replaced them he says codes are gone but car still cant be used

he has misfire codes

replaced spark plugs..

hes waiting for a new map sensor to arrive

i know its a lot but any ideas are appreciated

he says that on youtube be found someone saying his similar issues were because of a faulty intake manifold runner control valve, but when he looks he sees a place where it should be but the piece is not there.. he says there isnt even wiring

is it possible his year comes without a intake manifold runner control valve?

thanks for help

well no he had issues with the truck for a while, starter issues, door lock would stop workinf, electrical stuff like that but he tells me the issues that prevent him from using the car started not that long ago when he started using cruise control on the highway.. no idea if this can be related but yea it only went from bad to worse

he sent me a video here it is

to me it sounds horrible

is it possible timing is off?

i think he has got one from scrapyard but since he couldnt find the wiring, like he doesnt see any connectors laying around where this part is supposed to be he hasnt installed it

ill ask him tomorrow

since he had the car for years and never had that part (crazy enough) you think that could start making the engine misfire just now?

i guess he should measure fuel pressure

thanks for reply ill keep you posted
