Journey 2016 uconnect bluetooth

Recommended Posts

Hi guys need help here with the journey bluetooth radio. Module has just been replaced a month ago by dealer and now is working again. However, whenever i play music everytime i turn on the car, it jumps like you know those old cassette tapes. Do i need a soft reset of the uconnect? I have the 8.4 inch screen by the way. Any idea how to do it? I tried uconnect soft reset videos in youtube but it doesn't work for the journey. Thanks

Sadly, I know cassette tapes...  But I have no idea what you mean by "jumps".  When I use my BT for music, it seems to work pretty well.   I hate that it doesn't show song and artist info, but the music is fine.  Can you explain a little more thoroughly?

Peace.

Stuttering? Not sure if that's the right word to describe while the music is playing. But eventually it will go away and back to normal after i connect/disconnect the phone from the bluetooth. Another thing? Is there a way we can soft reset the uconnect? The videos i've seen in youtube doesn't seem to work for the journey. Thanks

Hi Neo,

We understand why this may be frustrating. You can perform a soft reset by following these instructions: 1) Put vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN)  **For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having foot on the gas or brake pedal** 2) Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons, at the same time, for thirty seconds. 3) Let go of the buttons 4) Turn vehicle off 5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds (or until dash illumination goes black) 6) Close door 7) Restart vehicle 8) Let the media center load up and see if concern is still present. If this does not help, please send us a private message and we'll gladly look into this further for you.
