"...they told me that they have to wait for colder weather to replicate the problem. I could hear that high pitch noise when it was very cold, but I thought its was the alternator until I saw the TSB. Now I have to wait until next winter for them to look at it. What a pain!!!
BS! Show them a copy of the TSB with the section below highlighted:
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTHING is stated about the tech having to verify the problem.

So my question then is are there any tips when doing the pan change, any cautions?
See attached PDF.

Hello, We recently bought a 2015 Journey R/T and have been loving it so far, we went on a long trip this christmas and I hooked up a media player with movies into the AUX input on the rear of the center console. Unfortunatly the RCA cables were snapped off in the plugs somehow and I made things worse by pushing the broken center pins all the way inside. Now I can fit a new cable in the plug by there is a constant buzzing in the audio.
Can anyone give me an idea of how to remove the center console on a 2015 R/T? I'd like to relocate that AUX input if possible, (and remove the broken pins).
Thanks!
See attached PDF for console removal. (remove the shift knob by pulling up on the knob.)
Not sure if the inside of the module is easily accessible (w/o breaking it apart), or if it has screws or clips. If you need a new one, p/n is 05107083AB, Google search will bring up an image of it. Runs around $40.00.

Technically they're all just option packages - my Crossroad comes up as an SXT, based on it's serial number.
That's just by the description group in the VIN database, as the Crossroads are definitely separate models (body codes JCDR49 and JCER49).
One cannot order a "Crossroad" package on an SXT.
Journey Canada body codes:
JOURNEY CVP/SE PLUS (FWD) JCDH49
JOURNEY SXT/LIMITED (FWD) JCDP49
JOURNEY CROSSROAD (FWD) JCDR49
JOURNEY CROSSROAD (AWD) JCER49
JOURNEY R/T (AWD) JCES49
JOURNEY R/T RALLYE (AWD) JCEX49

Again, not in Canada, which was one of my main reasons for writing the post I did . . . .
I was referring to Canada, and my information is 100% correct. The 2016 SXT with Blacktop package is and has been available to order. The web site has wrong information (not unusual).

Here is the booster description:
The power brake booster is mounted to the engine side of the dash panel. The master cylinder is bolted to the front of the booster. A vacuum check valve is also mounted on the front of the booster. A vacuum line connects the check valve to engine source vacuum. The booster input rod extends through the dash panel and connects to the brake pedal. This vehicle uses a tandem diaphragm, single rate vacuum power brake booster with 203 and 229 mm (8 and 9 in.) diaphragms. Power brake boosters are internally tuned differently depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with ABS or without ABS.
Attached file shows the main parts of the booster, 2nd file includes some diagnostics that you can try.

I'm just eager to lock in the special pricing next week).
I wouldn't be in any sort of rush to order on Canada Day, a savvy negotiator will be able to get a similar deal a month from now, or many months from now. If the Blue is very important to you, then I would wait it out. I should be able to get the launch information ahead of the launch so that you can get your order in at the earliest possible date.
-
But the OP wants to be certain he is ordering a vehicle he can switch to the new Blue when it is released . . . . so do you know what models those colours will be offered in? Not all models get every colour and features can be market-specific (like 5 passenger Crossroads, the 4 cylinder engine in the Crossroad or AWD SXTs, none of which are not available in Canada).
I won't know if there will be any model restrictions on colours until the information is officially released. It could be a couple months, or several months or more into the model year. The problem with ordering one now with the intent to change the colour when released may not work out - as once a vehicle hits a production scheduling point (usually 'D1' status) the colour typically cannot be changed.
-
I'm wondering if Blue will be available on ANY of the other models - I'd be willing to order one of the others.
I checked and there is no production start dates listed yet for the 2 new colors. I will make a note and post back when I get the information. They are both DEFINITELY going to be offered in Canada.

I picked the picture with the five tweeter speakers from the Journey site as that it why I think it sounds bad, only two of the five made it to production.
The five-tweeter system was never designed or intended for the Journey. What you are seeing is just a quirk in the web site programming that is mistakenly showing a picture from a different vehicle system.

I modified my inital post, to show the picture of the equipment laided out on Alpine's web site at www.experienceapline.com/dodge/
You're thumbnail is showing the wrong system for the Journey, here is the correct image:

Hi,
I just want to ask how to remove front lower grille only? I already search this forum but there's no step by step instructions or is it just needed to pull out or something or I really need to take out the whole bumper. I do the research here and with google. so please dont tell me to search the forum, if there's one maybe I just missed it.
Thanks!!!
You need to remove the entire fascia, see attached file.

What the hell does onboard and outboard mean? Left, right? Not all of us were raised on a ship.
I edited my original post to clarify, it was Chrysler's wording...

To make the 2nd row seats easier to slide, this will work in some cases:
Loosen the four seat track to floor fasteners, then tighten all four seat track to floor fasteners to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) in the following sequence:
a. Front inboard bolt (closest to center console)
b. Front outboard bolt (closest to outside door)
c. Rear inboard nut (closest to center console)
d. Rear outboard bolt (closest to outside door)(See attached file)
-
Tried it again today and it's now working correctly, no idea what happened prior, must have been a quirk in the system.
-
I was aware of this as my prior system worked the same way.. But, how do you KEEP the volume turned all the way down? Everytime I turn the volume all the way down, it comes right back up with the next prompt. If I don't need directions for another 20-30 miles or whatever it is very annoying to have the constant interuptions. The prior system kept the volume where you left it.
-
AND FOR THAT PRICE?!
You get what you pay for. No doubt made in China at the lowest possible cost. I'd NEVER trust cheap "replica" wheels on my vehicle. And anyone considering buying them may want to do a little research on the company selling them.
