That would be the same thing but I am talking about the parts that comes down on either side of the front window which hides the pillar posts. I am going to bring it to the attention of my dealer and see if there is anything that can be done. Maybe I am being too fussy but down the road, who knows how this stuff will look after the sun's heated it and it has been jiggled around from vibrations.

I haven't experienced low fuel on my Journey yet but on my past vehicle, a 2000 caravan, the low fuel light would come on and I would have enough gas for about 15-18 miles. I wouldn't trust any "five gallon" reading.

I was looking at the front of my journey today from the outside and I noticed something showing up along the pillar post in the front window that made me curious. It was like a one-eighth to a quarter inch of a light material that one should not be able to see from the front outside view. When I got in the journey, I found that the material running up the pillar post inside was not held in very effectively, sort of buckled out and that is what could be seen from the front outside view. Has anyone noticed this and can anything be done about it? It was as if a clip maybe meant to hold the material was missing.

I've never had a vehicle with a Change Oil indicator! I guess things have changed a lot in the past decade or so. One big change has been a cut back in the number of service stations where you could get someone to fill up your gas and check your oil. Those were the good old days!

I ordered the bug deflector and the window shields about a week ago. My dealer thought they would take a couple of weeks to come in. I can't afford to add much more on right now. I have a gray SXT and so far the only thing that worries me is the gas mileage. I am only getting around 21 MPG at the moment.

According to my manual, the first oil change takes place at 10,000 kms (6000 miles). This seems to be stretching it a bit in my opinion but I don't know much about these new engines. I have a 3.5 V6 and I am wondering if anyone else is getting an oil change sooner than the manual calls for. My previous car was a 3.3 V6 Caravan and I got the oil changed every 3000 miles.

It strikes me funny how the warranty can be different from one country to another. Are the Canadians being suckered by not getting the same warranty or do the Americans obtain a better vehicle when they purchase a Journey?

How can you guys drive with all those dials and buttons? I only have a basic panel and I am having problems just understanding which set of dials is for what. I had a problem yesterday in that I couldn't get the back of the driver's seat to adjust to a different back incline. I kept using the lever on the side of the seat but it didn't work. I made an appointment with my dealer today so it could be repaired. A clerk in the dealer's office came out, opened the door to the car, and pointed out that there are TWO levers on the side of the seat, one for the incline and one for the lumbar support! While I was there, I got the clerk to show me how to open the hood but it took three demos before I caught on how to do it. He must have thought I was a slow learner but I said he had a bigger hand than I did and that is why it took me awhile to locate catch to open it. So I can now adjust my seat and open the hood. All I have to do now is figure out how to set up the radio as the sound keeps coming from the right side of the car and there is too much bloody bass for me. By tomorrow, I'll have that mastered.

I found out that it has Kumho all-season tires. I have no idea how good these tires are, especially if it is snowing. It has been recommended that I buy snow tires for the winter but 17" tires don't come cheap.

It is hard to see where the already built Journeys are stored ... they must be shipped out immediately to the dealers who are waiting for them!

That's a good record for an automotive company these days. I don't know why but when I read reports from such mags as "Consumer Reports" I get a general idea that Chrysler products aren't rated too high but when something comes out like the report above, where the consumer is shown to be actually buying the products in good demand, I tend to think that Chrysler products are under-rated by such magazines. As long as the Journey keeps selling well, that should help in keeping the prices of replacement parts down.

What lifetime warranty are you talking about?

I have seen the silver ones and they look good. I have an FWD SXT and I am still reading the manual trying to understand how to get the windshield washer to squirt. I still don't know how to do it. On my last vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Caravan, the wiper control was on the left of the steering wheel; it is on the right on the Journey and the odd time I am still trying to shift using the wiper controls! Still getting use to the shift located on the floor (console?).

Hey, that sounds good. At least it seems original. I have never heard of a give-away like that before. My dealer gave me two free coffee mugs, an insulated bag with a radio included, a baseball cap, and another little radio after we had made the deal for a new Journey.

I'd like to buy some accessories for my Journey. Is there a Canadian Chrysler or Dodge site I can go to check it out?

After reading the discussions above, I had the undercoating put on my Journey. Somehow later on the afternoon of the first day I got the car, someone, not me, got that grease stuff over my front seat, a glob about a quarter of an inch by 3/4 an inch. I tried to swipe it off and only made it worse. We ended up using paint thinner and got most of it off that way. There still was a noticeable spot around two inches in Diameter. We used some more paint thinner and then took soap and water and it cleaned real good. It wasn't fun. Just be careful around that stuff.

I picked up my Journey a couple of days ago and it came without a front license bracket. I called the salesman that sold it to me and he says the shop had run out of brackets but he will get one for me soon.

I want to add fog lights if possible. I see you are still waiting for yours to come in. It's easy to say the wait will be worth it when I read what you have on order. The Light Sandstone is a nice color, my wife's favorite. I didn't have any say in the color as they just transferred a journey from one dealer to another which had the features I was looking for. You don't have much longer to wait.
