  1. I purchased the MYGIG Lockpick for the REU navigation radio for my wife's Journey. We haven't installed it yet. We are going to have the dealership install the rear entertainment system first, then I'll install it. That way they can't say anything about it. As soon as we get it installed I'll definitely post a full review.
  2. I noticed Mopar Accessories updated their web page. It now shows available fog lights and headrest dvd screens, amongst other things.
  3. I just called the dealership and got our VIN and VON. I called Chrysler to find out the status (1-800-992-1997) and they said it shipped out on July 7th!! However, the Customer Service Rep said it could take 3-4 weeks from the time its shipped. The salesman at the dealership, whom I actually trust quite a bit and is friends with my wife, said they figured it would take about 10 days. I am hoping the dealership is right, Then we would get the car the day of or day before we are set to go on vacation. I figured the Customer Service Rep would be able to give an estimated or expected delivery date, but no such luck.
  4. Just got off the phone with the dealership and he told me that the Journey we ordered will be shipped from the Toluca, MX plant on July 9th!! I'm supposed to call him back tomorrow to get more details (Vehicle Order Number and hopefully the VIN). Does anybody have any idea how long it will take to ship to deep south TX? We're getting ready to drive up to St. Louis on either July 18th or 20th - depending on work. I really hope the Journey gets here before then. If not we'll have to take my truck to be able to fit everything we need for us and the baby for 2 weeks. With gas prices the way they are I'm really hoping we can take the Journey! If anyone has any idea how long it might be to take delivery let me know. Or if anyone has the date that their Journey was shipped & delivered on please post (along with delivery location). Thanks everyone!
  5. They just extended the $2.99 gas deal again. Its now good through July 31st.
  6. I don't think this is really that big of an issue, at least not yet. From my understanding there haven't been any fires caused by this issue, and the problem was actually first found by Chrysler during a vehicle audit (whatever that entails). This is a preventative measure, not reactive. Also, the problem is poorly routed wiring. The fix is reportedly trusty cable ties. I think Chrysler is doing a great job so far. I'm glad they found this and they're fixing it before there are any problems. Unlike FoMoCo a couple of years back with their Crown Vics, they had quite a few of those go up in flames. I also just found this link: GM SUV Investigation. They say there's already been 41 reports of fires - 16 with the engine turned off! All they're doing is an investigating it - it's not even a recall yet!!!! Like I said, I think Chrysler is on the right track in fixing this before it becomes an issue.
  7. Congrats!! I can't wait until my wife's Journey comes in. Sounds like you have a good lookin' Journey. Enjoy!!
  8. The dealer had already ordered ours... the remote start was just an afterthought. Living in deep south TX heated seats are definitely something that I can live without. We had to order ours right away, to hopefully get it before we take our summer trip. Thanks for the input though, I really appreciate it. That waranty would have been nice, wish I would have thought about it before we had him order it. Oh well.
  9. According to the Sale's Booklet the iPod interface is "included with UConnect Hands-Free Communication System; not available with Entertainment Group II". So if you have the NAV unit you won't be able to use the iPod interface. Which kind of sucks because that's what I ordered, too.
  10. We went to the dealership the other day and ordered my wifes new Journey. It's going to be a Bright Silver SXT FWD with the Flex seating group and Entertainment Group II. When it arrives we're thinking about having the dealership install the 10" rear DVD system and remote start system. Does anybody currently have the NAV system in their Journey. I know it was late availability but I'm just curious if it is user friendly or not. I didn't realize it wasn't a touch screen unit like the others. I wonder how easy it will be to use the joystick instead of touchscreen. I also have a question about the order itself. Is there a tracking number or something that we can get from the dealership to monitor it's progress? Any info would be great. I love the forum so far! Also check out www.dodgetalk.com/forums and go to the Journey page. Dodge Talk has a wealth of knowledge for anything Dodge. The Journey section is kind of slow right now, but I'm sure that will pick up once more people start buying them. Thanks, Nathan
  11. If you go to the MOPAR accessories website it looks like you can buy one. It's part #82211460 and goes for $195. I'm not sure if you could easily install it yourself or if you'll need the dealership to install it. Here's a link to the page: http://www.mopar-accessories.com/en-US/822...fo.aspx?pc=8065 Hope this helps.
  12. There is the DodgeTalk forums website . They have forums for every Dodge model. They don't have a lot of posts yet, but I'm sure it will pick up when more people start buying the Journeys. They also have forums for Chrysler Press Releases and the Rumor Mill - great sources of info for upcoming products/features. There is a wealth of knowledge on that site for Dodge products in general. My wife and I are looking at buying a Journey SXT in about 2 weeks when the local dealership will be getting about 15 of them in with the 3 row seats. We test drove two of them last week - an SE and an SXT. We were pretty impressed!! We definitely liked the V-6 better.
