  1. Ditto on the Active Green + Ross, great and honest service from the owner in Oshawa. Summer (3 season replacements) http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/5944-new-michelin-latitude-tour-hp-x4/ Winter I went with the Michelin Latitude X-Ice XI2 on 17" rims. Matthew
  2. Greeting DJists, Recently installed four 235/55/19 101H Michelin Latitude Tour HP AO GRX on my 2012 DJ (H-rated performance tires). Went to Active Green + Ross (Ontario tire guys): all four corners, balanced, alignment, plus their tire protector (road hazard, free flat repair with balancing), 10K rotates, taxes and 'tire stewardship fee' in for $1,097. Just getting a feel for them, no highway yet, but they are smooth and quiet. Handle nicely on corners at city speeds. These are 'Green X' Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tires and we'll see how this effects mileage. No pictures it didn't happen . . . so . . . Save travels, Matthew
  3. Sorry, can't help with your problem . . . But I sure would like to be In a place right now where my concern was the Air Conditioning. -20c where I am now . . . Good luck, many here can help.
  4. Get the dealer to do an alignment (it was a rental), change air and cabin filters, balance the wheels, check brakes for wear and sticky calipers. See if you can the service records make sure no outstanding TSBs, get the build sheet for a listing of all the options, price an extended warranty, depending on your driving needs. Look at a 7/160 bumper to bumper $0 deductible. You'd be done for years!
  5. Well, what do you thinK? . . . Should I move my Journey? This Sword of Damocles is my tall birch tree bent 90 degrees due to the recent ice storm. I've been parking on the street, but at night the plows come so I have to park in the driveway. I go to bed at night with terror, I now know how Damocles felt . . . Matthew
  6. Hi Paul, You in Barrie? Oshawa here. Watching this thread for what you might uncover. Matthew
  7. Atta girl! You deserve a glass of wine! (Just park the beloved Journey) lol
  8. Don't know about the alarm, but if you open with the key you can still start the vehicle, you use the heel of the fob to press the tip start.
  9. Silver is a great colour, most of my cars have been silver, they seem to age extraordinarily well, and has been noted, don't seem to show the dirt at all. My DJ is the grey and it's filthy after our recent storm, got to get it into the touchless! Matt
  10. Frogbox, That truly is a neighbourly offer, such thoughtfulness! Who knows, maybe we'll meet up one day, I live in Oshawa. Matthew
  11. Greetings all, Just returned home from visiting family in Victoria, BC, Canada. Was there for nine days and did lots of driving around. Only saw 5 Journeys, which includes a Fiat Freemont. For Canada's best selling crossover this is a startling result! What gives? We need to beat the drum in Victoria . . . For every Journey I must have seen five Honda Elements. There's a plethora of Jouneys in Oshawa, ON where I live, everywhere you look! Some stock, some black-topped, some spankin'! What about your home town? Matthew
  12. But why? Who on earth wants those 19" rims?
  13. Mine as well, both mufflers drain noticeably. Had me concerned at first about exhaust system corrosion. My Impala and Sable dont seem as Niagara Falls-ish. Evidently this is normal? Hope this hasn't hijacked the OP.
  14. jkeaton, How do you like that Dodge mat? I too looked at it, but went for the WeatherTech instead. I read a couple of reviews that said it slid around some, figured the WealthTech would sit tight given a wee bit more form fitting. Your experience so far? Dig those flaps, are they mopar? If so do you have part numbers? Did you look at the WealtherTech "no-drill" mud flaps? Looking good! Thanks, Matt
  15. Ditto, ordered WeatherTech front mats and the cargo mat; looking forward to those coming in, person at PartsSource said 2 days. Also got my new steelies & Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 225/65/17 Winters on all four corners. You know, never have I loved steel rims and winter so much . . . have a look . . .
  16. Oh that's not nice. Sorry, nothing I can do other than commiserate. Someone more helpful will be along any moment I'm sure. M.
  17. X44753 is the standard factory fit available to many suppliers (Canadian Tire, Active Green+Ross, and others). As we speak I'm getting those rims, sensors, balancing, and Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 installed for $1,435.28 taxes in (with manufacturer's $70 rebate). This price includes lifetime flat fixes with balancing, prorated road hazard, tire rotate at 10,000km, and seasonal swaps. If you register your tires with Michelin they also offer 3-year roadside flat change or 250km tow. Also included in the price is Ontario's "Tire Stewardship Fee" of $22.76. Purchased at Active Green & Ross, Oshawa, Ontario. Works out to $341.32 per corner; I'm pleased. Drove this afternoon, nice and smooth. As an FYI this tire store also fixed a flat on my summers for free knowing I was buying winters, nice touch. Matthew
  18. Interesting this just started with me tonight. 2012 Crew, had for about two weeks now. In Park, press the brake pedal and CLICK. Lift center console, it's louder. Place my hand on the USB port and I can "feel" the CLICK. It's ok when I drive and brake. So what do you think it might be? Matthew
  19. Awesome, sorry senah I didn't see your response in my smartphone, thank you!
  20. Right on jkeaton, a worthy effort.
  21. Greetings, I have the build sheet for my 2012 DJ Crew; I'm the second owner bought from the dealership where it was originally sold. There are some build codes I don't understand and am hoping the collective wisdom (or just one knowledgeable person) can help me. Here we go . . . Vehicle Option - All LBLS Driver Passenger Lower LED Lamps - Are these the LEDs at the bottom of the door that shine on the ground? LMKS Daytime Running Headlamps, High Beam - Does this mean my DRLs are on with high beam? LPSS CHMSL Lamp - What is this? SBPS Performance Steering - Is this the stock steering? SDDS Touring Suspension - Assuming this is the stock suspension? X81S Instrument Panel Parts Module X82S Door Parts Module X83S Front End Parts Module X84S Front Suspension Parts Module X85S Rear Suspension Parts Module X88S Tire Wheel Parts Module - What are all these "X8*S" modules? - Where are X86S and X87S? Z1AS GVW/Payload Rating - What is this? Optional Equipment Tire Pressure Monitoring System -- I think these three codes are related to the TPMS X88S Tire Wheel Parts Module: I think this contains (among other things) the Sensor/WiFi Transmitters? CX8P CORA Tire Press Monitoring Sensor: I think this is the WiFi receiver? XGMP Tire Pressure Monitoring Display: I think this is what presents data from the receiver to the EVIC display? X9AP For More Info, Call 888-539-7474 - I think this is to activate Sirius? ZBHP Spring - Left Front ZCUP Spring - Left Rear ZPFP Spring - Right Front ZRUP Spring - Right Rear - I'm assuming these are suspension related? Why would these show under Optional Equipment? 0CBA FAM: JC Tracking: [bunch of numbers] MY: 2012 - What on earth is this? 2DLA Customer Preferred Package 2DL 28L Customer Preferred Package 28L - what are these? If anyone can help me understand any of these codes I would be ecstatic! Thanks, Matthew
  22. A 2008 with 21,000km? Do you mean 210,000? Looks to be in great shape. M.
