I hear you... Did you ever get your housing back? They were getting blacked out weren't they?
They are in transit back to me right now. I should have them back on Tuesday April 22nd. Then I want to get the front plastic protected before I put them on. I want to protect my investment. Ive seen pictures of them and they look awesome. I had them add just a little red to them to go with the little bit of red that I have on my Journey.

The DJ has a decent cutoff and I'm not going to bash you for how you did your lights. But, if you compare your output to the output on a set of HID projectors, the difference is night and day. That's all I was saying...that the best output will come from that setup.
I would agree with you on that, I just didnt want to pay the extra money for the projectors. Im sure your correct in your point though.

Silverstars for headlights. Stay away from HID in factory housings. You will accomplish nothing but blinding oncoming drivers unless you convert the housings to prpoer projector housings meant for HID's. I've ordered stuff from China before, sometimes it can take as long as over a month , especially if it gets caught in customs.
Ive had my HID's in the factory housing without any projectors for a while now and havent had any on coming traffic flashing me for being to bright. I love my lights, Ive had Silverstar's and HIR's before and I like the HID's the best.

No it's not! Am going to say this anyway...NASCAR fans aren't exactly F1 fans (the camp I belong to) LOL
Monaco v Indiana? I know which one most people outside of North America will choose :-) Those Nascar cars look fugly, and the folks on the road that drive Monte Carlos trying to look like Nascar drivers aren't too far off :-)
I grew up in England so pardon me :-)
Its just Opinion but all good.

I am looking to replace the headlight bulbs on the 2014 DJ CVP...they just aren't bright enough at night. I have read a lot about HIDs and how they take time to warm up and all that....being that I am here in Canada, probably not the best option for me.
What would you lot recommend as the most cost effective replacement option to swap the bulbs out, and where to purchase from.
Additionally, I ordered a CANBUS dome/map LED bulbs over a month ago from China....no delivery yet and am not hearing from seller. Anybody know of a local/north americal seller that will ship to Canada? I like the BLUE colour in particular
Cheers
The warm up process is only a few seconds like about 10 seconds but when you turn them on they do turn on immediately and gradually get brighter over the 10 second or so process and are available in the blue tint like you say you like. If you had them im sure you would like them cause they are really bright. Ive used really bright Halogen bulbs in the past that are also really bright but they only last for about 6 to 9 months.

Hypothetical question.....why do people go out of their way to put emblems and names of a a manufacturer on a car that wasn't given to them for free? I can understand if you won the car and have to do free advertising for them
I see this a lot...someone will write dodge in big letter on the back window of a car.....I can bloody well see that.
One of the first thing I did was rip off the licence plate holder the dealer put on the car
Its just personal preference. I can understand what your saying when it comes to Auto Manufacture Names Like Dodge, Chevy, ect but when it comes to dealer stripes like the Dodge/Mopar ones in my opinion looks good. When you watch NASCAR you see the cars with all the advertisements on the cars and it looks good. I know they do it cause they have to because its their sponsors but it still looks good. So its kinda the same thing.

Fellas...question for ya. My 2014 does not have fog lights, am I able to brighten up my head lamps with bulbs from the ebay store? The light on the 2014 CVP is just horrible
Addiotionally, I ordered LED bulbs for the dome/map light over a month ago from China and it isn't here. It has to be the CANBUS ones...anyone know a dealer that will ship to Canada?
Thanks
You can do an HID light conversion. If your really handy and know a bit about cars and electronics then you can do it yourself if not you will have to find a local car audio store that can do it for you.
You should have gotten your lights from China by now. Sorry I dont know anyone that will ship to Canada. You would have to search online.

As long as the wife likes it, its good with me. It's here car, lol. Going to dip the stock wheels and add gloss enhancer next.
I hope the Dip works for you. Ive used it on different parts and it looked great at first but it chips and peels easy. Dipping wheels I would think with rocks from the road would chip them fast. Good Luck and I hope im wrong for your sake.

Tint and Dodge hash marks done today
I think it looks good! Nice!

The light output isnt fantastic but my HID's on my low beam's make up for it. I cant say that the LED's are any brighter than the stock one's but I like that they match my HID's in color.

It looks great!

Nice! I just upgraded my system too but I have a 2010 and my radio is the kind that can be changed out to an aftermarket one. I changed everything and added 2 amps. I hope your enjoying yours.

I did an HID conversion about a month ago and I just changed out my fog lights to match. Here's how it came out.
The LED's that I used are. -
I was thinking of getting these exact same ones, mainly to color match HID's. Hopefully they're brighter than the stock fog lights. You'll have to let us know how they turn out...maybe some side by side pictures of oem bulbs vs these?
My research for H16 bulbs didn't really show any options to get a brighter bulb that fit the stock housing (unless you went HID's in there).
I will do that. My Head lights are HID's so we will see how good of a match they are. My HID's are not the blue ones they are the 6,000K bright white. Ill post pic's in a few days. Today is April. 10th 2014.

I have a 2010 Journey and I have it tuned with the Hypertech Max Programmer, a K&N filter and a Magna Flow Exhaust System. Is there anything more I can do to it as far as a chip or something? I dont want to change out the heads or cam. Im just wondering if there's anything more that can be done.

I just purchased these from ebay a few days ago. They haven't arrived yet. They are supposed to be here tomorrow. When I install them Ill let you know how they work. These exact ones might not be compatible with the 2014 but I would think they have the same ones for the 2014.

Did u try souyh of border prices are big differance to get a better tire. at the most u would pay extra would be tax I've done it three time
Itdjourney, when you say south of the border im assuming you mean here in the US cause I see that your in Canada is this correct? South of the border to us here in the US is Mexico. swede79 shows to be in Illinois which is here in the US.

Try replacing the battery in the Key Fob. It might be dead and that will cause your Journey to not start. If that still doesn't work then yes you will need to tow your Journey to the dealership or you might find someone in your local area that knows how to reprogram Key Fobs and is mobile that can come to you. Good Luck. Please let us know how it goes.

I added Remote Start to my 2010 Journey on April 4th 2014. It works great. The parts that were used are listed bellow in the link. It works using my factory key fob. All I do is press my lock button 3 times and it starts and flashes the lights. I had it installed by a professional cause there are things that need to be done other than hooking up wires. He had to flash my key fob and you need software for your computer to do this. Im sure its available for anyone but I wanted it done right. He had to run a wire to my lights to make them flash and he added a kill switch to my hood as a precaution. You can add the Smart Start feature to it if you want to, this will allow you to use a smart phone to start your car and lock and unlock it. It can be done using Bluetooth or if you want to pay a yearly subscription of about $100.00 it will work over the cellular network.

It should only take a couple hours whether its OEM or aftermarket. I got an aftermarket one installed in my Journey using the OEM keyfob and it only took 2 hours.
