i change mine at least once a year, sometimes twice.  When they start smearing, they go. Not going to try and get years out of a $9 wiper blade  and have an accident cause I can’t see out of a 2 year old blade.....

I have used these on both my vehicles for years and change at least once a year. Good blades. Seems to me most manufacturers recommend change every six months.

Just went through this with my 2011 three weeks ago. Went to start it at -43 and started but cel came on and I pulled code P0562. Check out that code. Replaced battery and no further codes. As a side note that was my original battery.

I always thought winter down there was just maybe a change in the color of the leaves! Know what you mean about paying for a long time. Up here in Canada they call it "Canada Pension Plan". The government has the gall to call it an entitlement after paying into it for over 40 years and then they took out most of it for general revenue.

People who sit texting on a left turn light arrow and people who spend their time on forums bitching instead trying to educate or help other members with problems.

Also people who complain but don't explain what the problem is.

Mine came today. Have an appointment for tomorrow morning. In the letter they hint at being reimbursed if you had it repaired and had to pay for it. Seems mine cost me

over $900.00 in Dec.2014 when it was -39 or so! Got my fingers crossed!

Had wife's 2011 Journey in for O2 sensor last week. When I got car back the remote start would not work. Went back to dealer and they were clueless on reason.

Took it to my installer and found out when the dealer cleared the codes or re-flashed the computer they erased all programming on modules for the remote start.

Thought I would post this in case someone else runs into the problem. My installer reprogrammed my remote start and away I went.

No it is not normal. What year, how many miles? We need info to assist you.

A great tribute to your wife Dave. Many of us have great difficulty expressing our feelings towards a loss and I too have done this on another forum after losing both my parents in a two year period.

The support I received there was unreal. In my opinion if anyone on the forum takes offense they don't belong here.

I'm still sore!! 5154457AE return line with cooler $530.99 plus misc small parts and 2 hours labour. Labour was $296. Total bill was $958.10. This 2011 Journey is the first Dodge I have owned since my 1976 B100 shorty van and I won't live for that long to buy another. Not with poor software and brakes issues also. They should have kept these things in Mexico where it doesn't get cold.

Bill, if you were able to test your DJ the same way they do their tests you would probably get "close" to their specs. Normal driving it 's not going to happen. I have a 2011 with 3.6 fwd and in winter with remote starts when it is below -30 I get about 13.6l/100km. Took a trip last Aug. to Northern Manitoba up by Thompson and did 8.3 to 9.1l/100km, dependent on terrain. I figure I get good mileage, now if I could only keep my foot out of it and save my front tires!

You guys need some cheese with that whine? We had the ground covered here on Sept.9 for the first time and got about four inches yesterday. Current temp is 18F for those who can't do the conversion.

This statement really has no fact, just opinion... Fact is that the manufacturer suggest intervals based on engineering and systems knowledge. I can agree doing it more often doesn't hurt, but to suggest that the manufacturer requirements are not stringent enough is really nothing more than opinion, likely not based on anything other than word of mouth, habit, etc.

Yup, just opinion! Built enough engines in my 66 years to have no experience and believe everything the factory tells me. Being from Minnesota you should know all too well about cold starts in the winter.

But hey, no harm, no foul. As I stated in another post, everyone has an opinion.

I change my oil at 5000 km with synthetic and always manufacters filter. Going as the factory says may be good for no problems at their time and mileage intervals while under warranty but for those who buy used or keep their veicles for a long time you

should use shorter intervals. With all the VVT and VCT systems they are using now all it takes is to get some crud into that system and the expensive repairs begin.

That and we can still poke fun at ourselves......eh!

I don't know about anyone else but the Journey has the push button start and the fact that it runs so quiet that I've walked away without shutting if off a couple of times. It could also be that as I get older my memory isn't the same and I repeat myself. I double check now. I double check now. I double check now!

I think I am about the same age as you rolly and I've done it too too, well couple of times anyway.

I noticed this on my 2011 sxt back in the winter. Drove through a frost heave and figured no problem, just hang on and will go straight. Not, my fwd journey almost threw me off the road. Scarey!
