Not trying to give myself any bad luck, I have had no issues with my SXT Journey,I love it!

Chrome on Black looks sweet. Get some pics up for us,thanks.

I know that after the first 12 months and 12,000 miles, unless there are issues with safety, wear items are not covered. If you have the 4 wheel disk breaks I recommend a friend that knows about breaks help you change your own pads. Disk replacements are easier than drums,IMO.

3.5 liter performance upgrades
JourneyMan71 replied to rcannon440's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
What is the difference in the Journeys engine 3.5L V6 and the Charger 3.5L V6? I know it is rated at less HP 235 compared to 250 HP Charger, and Torque is 232, compared to 250 in the Charger. Is it just detuned or different heads, intake, etc? I am just wondering. -
The few times I have let the low fuel light come on I ran it with low warning in the read out. The most I was able to put in was just under 18.5 gallons US. So, on my Journey even when the low warning comes on I can still drive a bit before I need gas. I would guess 40 miles max, maybe, lol.

Ordered R/T AWD Today
JourneyMan71 replied to pensare33's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
Well, congrats on your order, please keep us updated on it when you get it. I am not sure about the progress part. I'd ask the dealer if there was a number to call, or if they can track it for you. It would be nice/cool if you could track it on line like a UPS package, lol. One can only wish I guess. Good luck. -
I think the MOPAR leather cleaner is a Maguires leather cleaner.

WHATS THE FUEL CONSUMPTION ON YOUR JOURNEY?
JourneyMan71 replied to adolfusas's topic in Engine & Transmission
Really? I have not heard any ticking noise at all. I used one, or two tanks of 89, but have used 87 the rest. I use Shell gas. If you want to know about if there is a difference in gas just google top tier gas and go to a link or two. I swear by Shell gas and its higher detergents for keeping the engine not only running good, but cleaner as well. I do not have any hard evidence of the inside part being clean, I just know I get better MPGs using Shell in my Caliber and now in my Journey. -
Yes, it is definitely not a van/minivan,lol

Reset the "Oil Change Required" warning....HOW?
JourneyMan71 replied to Xphyle's topic in Engine & Transmission
My 2003 Saturn had a button inside the fuse box under the hood. It also had a similar key type reset. -
I am waiting on cold air intake for it,from K&N. On my Caliber I did the MOPAR header, K&N CAI, and MagnaFlow exhaust,it runs better now, and sounds meaner, lol. I like it. I would like to do similar thing to the Journey. I just hope they sell enough to warrent these upgrades.

Maybe, just maybe take some armoral or some sort of rubber cleaner and try wiping the seal real good and see if that make a difference. Hey at this point it can't hurt, right? Just a thought.

I did not notice any leaks when I went through the auto/brushless car wash with the Journey, but my 2007 Caliber does leak a little when I use the same wash. It does not leak in the rain. There is a lot of pressure hitting the sun roof and I can see water being forced in when it passes. If the roof rails are not right and you smell oil,I'd take it back there, or to another dealer.

I am going to switch to Royal Purple when I change my oil. I have read and heard from others they like it better than Mobil 1 synthetic. It is a bit more, but it should be worth it if it does help the engine wear less.

Welcome glad you are here. Congrats on your new Journey!

Hello and welcome. I have the SXT with 3.5L v6 it came with 19 inch rims, not the small 16's. Heck my Caliber came with 17's on it,lol. I really like the Journey, but there have been some issues from others on here. I think by now Chrysler has got a good idea of known issues and will address those before the new ones leave the dealers lot. If I remember correctly the AWD only comes in the R/T. They also have the 19 inch rims. Ofcourse that is US versions, it may be different in Canada.

The dealer I go to said it will take some break in time from the transmission to shift better. Who knows, but there could be software updates someday also if the breakin does not work.
-
I get so mad when people just get on a forum to B&C. People,it is a new car from inside out. First year autos have their issues. Most of the issues people complain about are really dealer issues and not about Chrysler as a whole.

First, I hope you guys are ok, second if it is small enough store it under the passenger seat, if not put it in the back floor truck like hide away, lol.

3.5 liter performance upgrades
JourneyMan71 replied to rcannon440's topic in Articles, News & Reviews
I( am hoping in a few months there will be some stuff out. I have put MOPAR header on my Caliber 2.0L K&N CAI and MagnaFlow Exhaust. Would be sweet to have it set up like that on my Journey. -
I have looked into it, although not in the past few weeks, but Mobile Me is 99.00 per year subscription. It is so far an Apple issue as I did not have any problems with my Motorola Q phone. The Iphone won't let downloads occur via blue tooth. That is how the UConnect works. Thank you for looking out. Apple is coming out with a OS for Iphone this summer 3.0 it is suppose to correct all known issues and some not known, lol. The blue tooth issue being one of them.

Listen,Chrysler is not going bankrupt, at least not soon. GM will most likely have to file. It will erase all debt and they can start over.It is just sad that retirees will suffer. Chrysler has cut 30,000 jobs over the last few years. when you take out that much, they do not need to sell 200,000 auto per month to survive.
