  1. Sorry for taking so long getting back. You know, Easter/ Inlaws Thanks for the info Sam. I knew I was forgetting something. The Patriots have a 5 on 4.5" (114mm) hole pattern and 39mm (1.535") of offset on the 16X6.5 rims which = approx 5.25" Backspacing. Not going to work. Thanks for the greeting everyone. I was reading through this site for several hours the other night and it was a little disheartening to hear all the problems that were occuring. I'm hoping it's due to being the first model year. I usualy start my research a good year in advance. My wife's lease on her Pontiac Torrent is up in March 2010. So hopfuly they will have worked out the bugs by then.
  2. Hello everyone. Just wanted to say how thankful I am that there is a, Dodge Journey community forum. About this time last year I became a member of jeep patriot.com. With the information I got from that forum I purchased a Jeep Patriot in July 08. I have been extremely happy with that decision. I now plan on doing the same sort of research for the Dodge Journey. The Journey is planed to be my wife's vehicle as well as the family road trip vehicle. We live in a small town rural community in southcentral Ontario, Canada. My wife travels +60km/40miles round trip to work on country roads. Every other month the family takes an 800km+ round trip road trip to visit family or relax at the cottage. Wondering how everyone likes the Journy on 3 to 4 hour trips. As it seems like it snows here for half the year and I'm already a fan of Jeep. I am already sold on the AWD version of the Journey. Just have to figure out which one. I'm also going to throw out a 2nd question to everyone right off the bat. I had a bad experience with lower profile tires on my vehicle prior to the jeep which got pinched in one of the 40 billion potholes that seem to creep up every year. I see that the lower end Journey comes with 16x6.5 rim with a 225/70/16 tire. I'm running the same rim with 225/75/16 tires on my Jeep. Wouldn't life be so simple if I could use the same rims and tires for both vehicles. Does anyone know if the AWD Journey will take the 16x6.5 rim and a 225/75/16 tire?
