  1. Congratulations on your purchase. I hope you have many miles of safe and happy motoring!
  2. I'm having the same problem on IE. I've noticed it for a few weeks but I thought it was a computer issue.
  3. Congratulations Mike. I'm just down the road in Windsor and we're waiting for the 2013's to order. We've also done a lot of research as well with the help of the folks on this board. As a Chrysler Canada retiree I want personally thank you for your purchase of our product. Happy and safe driving!
  4. I was on a site today that said the Crew and R/T will see a significant drop in price. They saying $1,000 lower. Also saying upgrades to the SXT and the Crew will have leather seats as standard. New suspension on the R/T , two new colours, etc. Has anyone heard any similar info? http://www.allpar.com/cars/chrysler/2013/dodge-ram.html
  5. Congratulations from Windsor Ontario!

    Hi from Sweden

Welcome! This forum is an excellent resource. Enjoy your Freemont and have a pleasant Journey! No pun intended.
  7. Congratulations on your new Journey. Enjoy!
  8. Congratulations. As a Chrysler retiree thank you for your purchase. My wife and I are waiting to odrder a 2013 Journey. The folks on this forum are very great at sharing their information and their experiences and have been very helpful in making up my mind on the model and options we want. They are also have a wealth of knowledge to explain how the options work. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your Journey!
  9. Good stuff! Happy motoring!
  10. Thanks, that makes me feel better. The other advantage of AWD was the bigger brakes. I really like the R/T!
  11. So even if I could get them with another size tire, I'd still have to change all four anyway?
  12. After hearing so much about the benefits of the AWD, I'm very interested but I'm concerned about the problems with tire availabilty. Can you get AWD without 19" tires? I got burned when I got a blowout on my 2001 Neon, which had an odd size tire and had to replace all four at the same time. This wouldn't be an issue if it happened close to home, but my wife and I are planning a long road trip through the States and I don't want to get caught in the middle of nowhere with this problem. It sure would be a buzz kill!
  13. I'm waiting to order a 2013 Journey and considering adding the extended warranty. What has been the experience for those who bought it? Was it a good buy and was it hassle free? Does it also cover any maintenance costs?
  14. Thanks for your replies. I guess my biggest fear is not when I have to replace the tires after normal wear but the possibilty of having a tire problem on our trip. Having to replace all four because one tire is bad seems a waste of money. Getting stranded in a small town or rural area with limited tire supply doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Has anyone had any experience with the extended warranties? I noticed in Bramfrank's reply he mentions a Canadian Group Buy for extended warranty which seems interesting, but has the extended warranty been beneficial and trouble free for those who've used it? Psyke, thanks for the suggestion of downgrading to 17'', never thought of that. Good idea!
  15. I now own a 2001 neon and I'm ready for a new vehicle. My wife and I have decided the Dodge Journey is the right one. We're looking at the Crew or R/T, however, I'm concerned about the 19" tires and availability. We might have to consider the SXT for the 17" tires. We're planning an extended road trip through the U.S. next year and this tire issue has me concerned. I had this problem with the neon and only found out after a blow out on the highway. I had to replace all 4 tires at once because I couldn't get a replacement. Is the handling and ride better with the 19" and better suspension? By the way, I love my neon but it's got 230,000 kilometres on it and I'm a Chrysler retiree and I need a comfortable vehicle for the long trip. Thanks
  16. Hello, I'm from Windsor and retired from Chrysler in 2004 after 35 1/2 years. I own a 2001 Neon and will be purchasing a new Journey in the coming months. Not sure if I will buy the 2012 or wait for the 2013's. By the way, I've been reading the comments on the forum for a couple of days and really appreciate the information that everyone is providing. I'm also pleased that there is so much enthusiasm for Chrysler products. It helps keep my pension intact. Thanks to all!
