  1. My new one here with the Pstar engine is really good on fuel. A bit better than my 2010 was plus alot more power. Fuel wise Im pretty happy.
  2. It looks its more the same as what Mortalalliance experiances. It appears to be at the joint between the main dash and that narrow one that goes to the dash with the defrost vent/speaker grills.
  3. Thankyou very much for the tip. Ill take a look at that.
  4. When about 12-15C out, something once n a while while driving there are knocks or taps ahead of me towards the dash area. It follows bumps ect, Goes away after being in the sun awhile. Holding the dash panels at the fwd area around defrost and then the main pad dont affect it. Like something just touches something else when its a bit cooler.
  5. My 2010 would bang and the unit would jump ahead when you stop, started at 3000km on a vac trip to the blackhills. I told them it was valve body. After a year of ignoring me the tech finally had it happen and he said he thought he was rear ended it was so violent. Turns out the trans was full of metal fillings and the valvebody would stick and when I stopped it built up alot of pressure then would shift into 1st delayed like you popped the clutch. So far im at 6500km on the 2012RT and its shifting fine. I sure hope yours is ok. It really takes alot out of the excitement of a new unit when its got a problem.
  6. Recirculating the air in winter up here in Canukville is a no no. Almost instant fogged up windows especially if there are a few persons in the vehicle and they are breathing.... The hvac system dehumidifies the air to assist with anti fogging, recirc bypasses this important feature.
  7. I only feel a slight shudder/vibration on up shift (automatic doing the shifting) from 3rd to 4th gear that lasts for about 1/2 a second. Very light.
  8. So far; -2012 R/T rides way better than my 2010 R/T -Very quiet interior -Had a rattle in the dash ahead of the driver. intermitant. Still looking into. -On heavy pull or acceleration there is a very high pitched whistle from the engine. Intermittant. On a bump or rough surface it warbles in time with the bumps. Fades off at idle. Dealer cant figure it out. -Rattle in pass side rear with a right to left cross wind. Inner plastic wheel well liner very loose. I glued it with silicone to the metal underneath. Fixed. Dealer couldnt figure it out. - Very comfortable. -Drove from Helena MT to Canadian boarder at 80mph. Dash fuel thing said 29US mpg. Even if not accurate, this is great MPG. On another trip I calculated the fuel with actual km vrs Liters and it was getting 8.6km/100l driving 105km/hr over about 6 hours. Very happy with the engine and fuel. -Good power. Transmission programming is still a bit kindergarden. -Have rear heat-A/C. Fantastic. Keeps cool WAY better than previous unit with front only. -Havent used the 3rd row yet. Only have it to get the rear heat-a/c option. -Garmin GPS is a bit slow and not as good as my Garmin 1450T although it looks like the same readout. The GPS provision between the speedo and the tach for turns and intersections is great. -To date I have just over 5500km on it.
  9. Power is ok. Way better than previous v6. If your comming from a G8 dont set your expectations too high.
  10. I hate to point this out but "breaks" is spelt brakes . I had over 35,000km on my 2010RT and had alot of brake pad left. It stopped on a dime and I never experianced any brake fade. Are you in a big city? Less stop and go may have alot to do with my good wear.
  11. My 2010 RT didnt have any brake issues or engine. But the trans was a disaster.
  12. Once in awhile I hear a real hi pitched whistle that varies with engine rpm but goes away at idle. Not always. reminds me of a vacume leak but my idle is smooth. Other than that the 3.6 has a very unique idle tone.

I also went with the Weathertech, in black with the three rows. Fit very nice. Easy to clean. Middle row a bit tough to get out to clean without dumping contents on the carpet, just have to be carefull. Side note, my set had the provision for the dual hooks.
