  1. We're neighbours, I'm from Windsor, Ontario across from Detroit. Welcome to the site, lots of information from the members of the forum. Enjoy the ride.
  2. Hi bigtsr, I was at a stop light when the fuel light came on. I checked and it was a 50 km's til empty and by the time I got to Costco to fill up it was at 37, so I don't know how accurate it is. I'll have it checked at the dealer when I go for my first oil change if it continues. I'm not panicking yet. I just find this strange. I'm heading to Toronto for the Sportmen's Show next weekend so I'll get a better sense of what's going on.
  3. Glad to hear you found the sweet spot. Now you can enjoy your great vehicle!
  4. I've had the same experience. My last fill I was on empty and only had to put in 58 litres in. The evic showed I only had 37 km's to go before empty. Either the tank's not filling up or the gauge is really paranoid lol.
  5. No thanks necessary, just speaking the truth! I've learned so much from everyone on this forum. Much appreciated.
  6. Welcome to our world, errr I mean forum lol! We got our SXT in December as well. What a great vehicle, glad you're enjoying it. Lots of great information on this site with a lot of helpful members.
  7. Hey from Windsor Ontario, I live right across the river from Detroit. I noticed your post and just had to welcome you. We got our 2013 SXT in December and absolutely love it. Glad to hear you love yours. I agree, Dodge did a good job, although I might be a little biased. I worked for Chrysler here in Windsor for 35 1/2 years until I retired in 2004. We bought our Journey for our upcoming road trip through the U.S and Canada later this year and needed a comfortable vehicle. This fits that criteria to a tee! For value, I don't think it can be beat. Enjoy your new ride!
  8. Welcome to forum. Sorry to hear your maiden voyage didn't go so well. Hopefully they found the problem. We got our copper pearl coat 2013 SXT in December and have 2300 km's on it so far. We just love how quiet and smooth the V6 runs. It's excellent as a highway cruiser and great handling in tight spots. It's a really slick machine. At first visibility is a little iffy, but you get used to it. I learned how to use the mirrors when I first learned to drive and the back up camera really helps. Happy motoring!
  9. Relax, enjoy your new Journey. Not everyone has had this problem. There are many Journey owners that have driven thousand of miles without problems. If you do run into problems, DodgeCares and DodgeCaresCa are very helpful as are other members of this forum. Congratulations on your new ride!

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your new ride!
  11. Thanks for the heads up on the nail polish remover. My deflectors came in today. You're right that logo and phone number looks like sh*t!
  12. I checked out the Romik running boards as well. I was a little concerned that the footprint might be a little narrow, so I was glad to see they have extensions to add some width. I like the black also, I think it will look sharp. Are you going to install them yourself? I got a price of $540.00 installed. I just got notified that my WeatherTech bug deflector and window deflectors have been shipped. Should get them tomorrow. Except for the colour our journeys are almost identical - mine is copper pearl coat.
  13. I just put 58.2 litres of gas for 430 km's since last fuel up. 13.5L/100 km or 17.4 mpg (U.S) 95% city driving. I only have a total of 2206 km's since December when we got it. Didn't buy it for the gas mileage but for the size of the vehicle, I'm impressed. We're planning a major road trip later this spring through U.S and Canada and I expect it will only improve.
  14. I can imagine how anxious you are. Good luck. Would make a nice Valentines Day gift though!
  15. Any thought given about Rubberdude88's request? This would be a great addition to the forum. How about it? DodgeCares and DodgeCaresCa- can you help push this along?

    Introducing

You certainly don't have to apologize, your English is very good. Welcome to the forum. I'm retired and bought our Journey SXT in December so I'm still learning as well. You definitely came to the right place to learn. We have DodgeCares from the U.S. and DodgeCaresCa from Canada who are great at helping. You will also benefit from the knowledgeable forum members. We are hoping to have a "How to" section to help us learn to do a lot of repairs and maintenance ourselves. Several members have requested it, but we haven't heard anything yet.
  17. I have power seats with the lumbar support and have it in the low position. I find it is extremely comfortable. I've always positioned my seats so I'm far from the steering wheel. Do you keep your wallet in your right back pocket or left? Many years ago I kept mine in my right pocket and had a problem with my right hip and leg. I switched to the left and I've not had a problem since. If you have the lumbar support try changing it occasionally and see if that works. I also try to keep my seat straight instead of leaning back. Works for me. Good luck.
  18. Welcome to the forum. Winter Chill looks awesome! We picked up our copper pearl coat SXT December 11 and I thought we had a lot of mileage at 1800 KM"s LOL. We got the Pentastar V6 as well. What a quiet and smooth engine. Ours is a five seater with Nav system, back up camera and heated power seats. Nice to see you're enjoying it too. I live in Windsor Ontario, and it's amazing how many Journeys there are here!
  19. Kudos to you redtomatoman, good job! Great example of why I like this forum. Always someone willing to help out. Very much appreciated!!!!!!!
  20. Hi, Welcome to the forum. I bought a 2013 SXT. I'm keeping my 2001 Neon until the plates expire so I can figure out what to do with it. I really enjoyed driving it and thought I would miss it too. I took it out for a drive this morning, and after driving the Journey for the last few weeks and I can tell you I don't miss it one bit. I think the driving experience with your new RT will soon make you forget your old car LOL. Enjoy!
  21. Here is another source that not only speaks to the Journey's progress but also Chrysler's accomplishments. http://davisonindex.mihomepaper.com/news/2013-01-03/News_Briefs/5_CHRYSLER_VEHICLES_ON_BEST_BUY_LIST.html
  22. Congratulations! My wife and I are very happy with our 2013 SXT as well. Enjoy!
