  1. Hi redtomatoman As you know from reading my posts, I have gone through a lot of radio/nav problems. One of them being that when I request a song, the song is highlighted then skips to the next song, without playing the requested song. It was fixed on the original radio, but after having it replaced because of a navigation problem, the skipping has been an issue on every unit since. Since there is an update available and I have an oil change scheduled for next month, I will ask them to do the update.
  2. Tanbam The initial problem i had with the very first radio was the wrong song being played. They were able to fix that with a software update. The radio was not being fed bad information, the song would be highlighted and the "voice" would confirm that was the song that was supposed to be played, then would skip to the next without playing the requested song. Then I lost the maps, on the original radio, thats when they replaced the first radio. After replacement, the original problem resurfaced and I asked the dealer just to do the original software update. I was told they could not do that. They were very quick to replace the radio and thats when in addition to the original problem, new problems surfaced with the GPS. At the moment, the GPS is working properly, although the original problem is back, but I have decided that as long as the GPS is working properly, I will live with the original problem. I'm just tired of always having to go back to get a radio replaced when really all it needs is a software update. I really don't think your analogy applies in this case. From what I have been told the "brains" of the system are encased within the radio module, so there are only two ways to correct the problem, either a software update, or replace the radio module
  3. rolly/addicted to dodge I beginning to think your right a fresh set of eyes just might be what I need. I have asked that a different technician look at the problem, but they keep putting the same person on it. There's another Chrysler/Dodge dealer about a km from the current one, so will give them a go. I'll wait a couple of weeks, as I would just like to take a break from dealer visits.
  4. dodgeCacares The problems have been mainly software, with the last one being very much both software and hardware. My initial problem was just software, being that when I asked for a song to be played on my IPOD, the song would be highlighted and then skip immediately to the next song. I took the vehicle in, and they did a software update and the problem was fixed. Unfortunately, the Navigation system then malfunctioned, so a "new" radio was ordered. After that was installed, the original problem surfaced with the requesting of music to be played. So I asked them to do another software update, at which point they said they can't, my reply was you did it before. And this when the saga of the radios begins, where each replacement radio seem to have more or more serious problems then the one before. Now I am back to just the original problem. The GPS appears to be working correctly now, so that is the most important thing. I not happy having the original problem back, and am just worn out from returning to the dealer time after time. However, talking to the service technician, I was told, I have been getting rebuilt units. I even indicated at one point that I would even anti up part of the cost of getting a newer system, but that seemed to fall on deaf ears. After 22 months of having the vehicle, I am no further ahead then when we started. Rolly I have dealt with this dealership since the early nineties, and I have been treated very well over the years. I even let the owner know that I purchased again from them, because of the great customer service. I get very loyal to whom I deal with, and find it hard to leave. But nobody seems to understand that I have been more then patient and would just like to enjoy my vehicle, but when I pay extra for a costly option, it should work. Your idea about going to another dealer sounds good, however then I am starting from square one again.
  5. I believe I am on unit 9 now. Unit 8 which I mentioned in another thread, lasted one whole day. Turned on vehicle the next day and the screen goes white, then blue, then the Dodge logo comes up and its blurry, then nothing a blank screen. Can't access any of the on screen controls. When I arrive at my destination and later return to my vehicle, I had all the on screen controls back.Plug in my IPOD and the screen goes blank. Then it eventually came on, however, the shuffle icon would not light up after the first few songs. Now get to my next destination and once I return to the vehicle, the sreen is once again blank. Luckily I was near the dealer where I bought my vehicle, so I headed there. Left the vehicle running as the screen was still dark and got a service rep to come to the vehicle, replacement ordered. It just seems everytime they replace the unit, it just gets worse and worse. So now the technician says, "If this one doesn't work properly, we will order a NEW radio." I would have thought they should have done that after the third unit. I didn't buy a used vehicle, so why are rebuilt units being installed time after time? Unit 9, still has the glitch with the requested song being highlighted and then skipping to the next song. Think I will just let it go at this point, as the nav appears to be working at this point. In another thread, I asked for DodgeCaresCa to PM me, but did not get a reply, I then asked the owner of the car dealership, if he would be able to help, but to not avail. Unfortunately, this will be the last Chrysler/Dodge product I will drive. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Journey, but just not sure if I will purchase another Dodge/Chrysler product at this point, as customer service has really deteriorated IMHO
  6. On my 2012, the VR works for the IPOD, just not very well. When I would request a song, it would highlight the song, say now playing "requested song title" and immediately skip to the next song. I took it in and they did a software update and it worked fine, bu then my nav problem arose. They replaced the unit, nav unit worked fine, but the problem with the requested song re-appeared. I asked the service department to do the same software update, and engineering insisted on replacing the whole unit, as they said an update was not available. Since then I have had nothing but problems with both the nav and the VR for the Ipod. They replaced the unit again today. It was interesting to note that the model number has changed twice now for the units with nav. The nav is now working properly (no lag, plenty of warning before turn), but have to admit haven't tried the Ipod as yet. I'm hoping, since the model number has changed, that everything will function properlly.
  7. Jkeaton I went to an Apple store and bought an adapter that allows me to plug my IPod and the Mrs.' Iphone into the USB port. This also allows us to charge the phone or the ipod while driving. I do answer my phone, but if its not a emergancy, I just tell the caller, I'll call back in a few minutes. No sense in making them call back if it is an emergancy.
  8. My biggest annoyance is with my navigation system and Chryslers lack of understanding in getting this fixed. This has been a problem since I bought the vehicle 19 months ago. I have gone through at least 9 supposedly new systems, at least 3 updates. Nothing has worked, and I have to say my patience has worn very thin. The last radio and update is the crappiest "repair to date(late November). The system lags severely behind the vehicle up 145 meters (475 ft) at freeway speeds, and there are no voice prompts, in the city the lag is around 45 meters(147ft). At least if I had voice prompts, I would at the very last second in the city to turn, but get the prompt after I have passed the exit. I have also found out that I have been given rebuilt units, which ticks me off even more. At least test the damn things to make sure that they work before sending them to the dealer, or man up and give a completely new unit. I have wasted countless hours and days, and now have a system that is completely useless and no action from the dealer. I even went in to talk to the owner, as I have bought 3 vehicles from them and hoped that customer loyalty would have some kind of pull. However the owner suggested that I get a 2014, and they will eat part of the depreciation. Hold on, I just want my navigation fixed, as its under warranty and there are no other problems with the vehicle. This solution would cost me thousands of dollars. Not really an option at this point. I am at my wits end here, and now I am asking our dodge reps on this forum for some help on this issue. Please PM me ASAP.
  9. Factory ordered my 2012 Journey in Jan Feb 2012, build didn't happen until May 2012, delivery June 2012. Various problems, all minor: car battery went dead after 2 months, no problems with it since. outside temperature sensor replaced-was reading 15 degrees below actual outside temp. no problems since sensor replaced Radio/navigation problems - replaced numerous times- still waiting for latest "fix" Droning noise when hitting 60km under mild acceleration - no fix- still really the only annoying thing that hasn't been followed up on by the service department. Other then those minor things, the more important items concerning the mechanicals, brakes, fit and finish is superb. Would I buy another Journey, heck yes.
  10. Windancer, I also have Subaru with AWD, and the first year I drove it without winters until I hit a patch of ice and found that stopping the vehicle was almost impossible. Now all my vehicles are equipped with snow tires. But then again maybe living in Saskatchewan where its pretty flat (I was born in Saskatchewan B)) may account for your problem free driving.
  11. Addicted to Dodge And there are some of us, that have had some minor problems, but despite that we still love our Journeys. I don't think there is a vehicle out there that is perfect, but I agree with you, I would never go onto a forum and bash the members choice of vehicle. I would just state my problem, and ask if anybody else has had the same problem and what have they done to get it corrected.
  12. Just a correction about SXT model availability in Canada. SXT is available but there is no option to order AWD like there is in the US. My first nav screen would go blank, all the rest have not had that problem. Unfortunately, there have been other problems since. Current one is working fine. I know that turning the vehicle off then on would reset it, but one can not always pull over to do that, so that's why I wanted it replaced. If I was driving on at the freeway in LA, I wouldn't want that to happen, especially if my exit was few miles (or kilometers) away. To have to exit the freeway, especially if I was not in the proper lane, and then to find a place to pull over safely, would be a real pain. When trying the zoom command, did you say just "zoom" or "zoom in" or "zoom out". I find that sometimes if there is a lot of ambient noise, I have to repeat my self, but not often. That's the problem with having high tech in a vehicle, it can get kind of finicky. I knew that going in, but decided to take the chance, so can't get mad at the Journey as it happens with other vehicles also. Regards DoubleO7
  13. Today, I tried using the voice command with the FM stations showing, rather then going to nav first. Just said "home" and nav screen comes up. As you are aware from my previous posts, I have been having with voice commands for my IPOD, we are now on the 7th radio, as none of them have solved the problem. So I asked if they could replace the software with what they have used in the 2013's, I was told that software is specific to a model year and not back compatible, nor can they replace the radio with one meant for a 2013. Out of curiosity sake, it would be interesting if you would let us know when you try to see if you have the voice commands with your nav, if it works or not. I know that sometimes features differ between vehicles sold in the US and Canada eg: SXT available in US, but not Canada.
  14. redtomatoman I have a 2011 Journey R/T with Nav and I have voice command. Before using voice command, I usually bring up the nav screen first. If I say home, it will calclulate the distance and the route with no problem. I can use the zoom in and zoom out command when needed. Give it a try, it's already there.
  15. On my last trip to the interior of BC, I had two instances very similar to the original poster. Both times, I was just starting from a stop and had to merge with traffic on an uphill section of the merge lane in a very short space. I stepped on the gas and the revs kept climbing, and I was not gaining speed. Both times the revs were up to 5000, where I took my foot of the gas for a second and then the revs dropped. Since I was going to take my vehicle in an oil change two days later, I would bring these two incidents up. When I took it in for the oil change they couldn't find any error codes, and could not duplicate the problem (of course they could not duplicate the problem, because there are no merge lanes that are going uphill anywhere nearby). It gets very frustrating when they don't take your word for what its worth. To me its a very dangerous situation to not be able to gain speed in a merge lane before joining the traffic flow. I really wish the person that looks at the vehicle would actually come and talk to the customer, so one can explain what was happening when problem occurred, the service reps only have so much room to write down what you tell them.
  16. A little late to this thread. I like to keep my Journey sparkling inside and out. Like you, I have the Weather Tech floor mats and I also have the cargo mat. Also like you, I had the paint treatment done, but directly from the company that our dealer uses, and paid one third the cost. As for washing and waxing, I have gotten all of my car care supplies (except the wash buckets) from e-shine.ca. One or two of the products are for my other vehicle that doesn't have paint protection on it - these products would be used on the Journey if I didn't have the paint protection. The reason I go to eshine.ca is that is where detailers go to buy their products, and I have always held the notion that you get what you pay for. When I want to buy an outdoor jacket for winter, I go to a store that specializes in outdoor equipment and clothing, not a retailer that specializes in really nothing. Wash mitt -Merino wool (will explain later)- appears to be no longer available from eshine. Two buckets (from Home Depot) Two grit guards Durogloss 901 Car Wash Concentrate Poorboy's World Spray and Wipe Poorboy's World Natural Look - for leather and vinyl EZ Crème Glaze - for other car Menzerma Power Lock Polymer Sealant - for other car Aerospace Protectant- for tires Chemical Guys Wheel Polish Dehydrator Wiping Cloths - large Microfiber Cloths - medium size Buffing Clothes - large - for other car Riccardos Clay Bar -yellow - for other car Riccardos Clay Bar Lube- for other car I have a friend who has a car detail business and those are the products he recommended. Rolly and others, the reason for the grit guards and the Merion wool wash mitt has to do with getting rid of the grit on the wash mitt. According to my friend the Merion wool when agitated against the grit guards which sit in the buckets, release the grit easier then other types of wool mitts. I use two grit guards, one for the wash bucket and one for the rinse bucket. I usually make sure I have the grit guards well below the water level, so the grit settles at the bottom, and there is not chance of picking it back up on the mitt. After wetting down the vehicle, I was a very small area of the vehicle and then dip the wash mitt in the rinse bucket, and agitate it on the grit guard before dipping it back in the wash bucket. I then just lightly agitate the mitt against the grit guard as a final step to make sure that the grit has been removed. I then hand the mitt over the edge of the bucket to allow any remaining grit to settle to the bottom while I rinse the area that I have just washed. Then I gently dip the mitt back into the soap and repeat the process. When washing my friend recommends to wash in straight line motions rather then circular. This reduces the chances of getting swirl marks on the vehicle. Dehydrator Wiping Cloths: These things soak up water like you wouldn't believe. You could get away with one, but then it takes a little more effort to dry the vehicle. I bought a second set for in the house as they work well in soaking up water when doing plumbing jobs. Poorboy's World spray and wipe - stays in the vehicle. Its a waterless wash and quick detailer. Gets rid of bird bombs rather nicely. I use a microfiber cloth for this application. Poorboy's World Natural Look for leather and vinyl - is used on the inside door trim, centre consul (I don't use it on the seats as the owners manual says only to use a damp cloth). The nice thing about this product is that is restores the leather smell to the interior. Aerospace Protectant - I use this on the tires as it does not leave a wet look shine on the tires (I like my tires a dark colour but not shiny- to me the shiny look makes it look like I just drove it off a used car lot). So this is just a personal preference Chemical Guys wheel polish - I put this on the wheels after I had washed them to get any brake dust off from the ride home. Its been fourteen months now and I have just redone them. I have never had any visible brake dust residue on my wheels in the fourteen months. Not sure if that's due to the wheel polish alone or a combination of having the larger brakes and the wheel polish. I let my neighbour use some about the same time on his older Grand Caravan and he is amazed at how much cleaner his wheels stay. The only reason I had to re apply, was because I went through a construction area and got some tar on the wheels, and used a tar remover to get rid of the tar, so thought may be a good time to re-apply wheel polish. Other products bought but not used on Journey: As I said earlier I ordered these products and was prepared to use them on the Journey, so if you didn't get a paint protection package for your Journey, these products should interest you for further use Riccardo Clay Bar/Riccardo Clay Bar Lube - my friend said when you go and get the vehicle, if the dealer hasn't prepped your vehicle properly, you may have brake dust on the paint. The paint should be smooth when you pick it up. Thank goodness I deal with a great Car dealer as the paint was smooth, so I didn't have to clay bar it. I use the product on our old and abused (by previous owner) Subaru. I clay barred the Subaru (later I did my neighbours Grand Caravan), and it took all the contaminates out of the paint. As one was going along, it was easy to tell where you had clay barred and where you hadn't. Menzerma Power Lock Polymer Sealant - again I was going to use this on the Journey but have only used it on the Subaru and my neighbours Grand Caravan. A very little goes along way and lasts about six months if vehicle is left outside and longer if vehicle is garaged. Regardless, my friend says to do it twice a year. Early spring and early fall. (clay barring only has to be done when needed). My friend also recommends putting two coats on just for a little extra protection. This doesn't take the place of car wax, it just seals the surface and one should wait 24 hours before applying any wax. As usual wax will have to be re-applied after a few washings but not the sealant. This product really creates a slippery finish. I placed the buffing towel on a part of the front hood (that I had just finished buffing) that starts to curve downward and it slid right off. Had to get another buffing towel out, as I'm sure the one that slid off would have grit on it. Before I had done the hood, I had placed the buffing towel around the same spot and it didn't move. E-Z Crème Glaze - I actually bought this thinking it was a wax, and applied it over the Menzerma on the Subaru twenty four hours later but its actually a polymer sealant also. Between the two products, the Subaru really had a deep shine and repelled dust and pollen beautifully. Other then when mud got on the Subaru, we could actually just hose it down. This spring, I decided just to use the Menzerma and a Carnuba wax and will save the E-Z Crème Glaze for when I run out of the Menzerma (container is large so will probably last years). I hope this helps other Journey owners in deciding what products are best for their vehicle. I am sure there are others, but these are my personal preferences. So, yeah, I am a bit obsessive with keeping my vehicle clean, so much so that the dealer has made note that under no circumstances are they to wash the vehicle. I caught them trying to wash it on my first oil change and the vehicle wasn't even dirty, I can see a slight swirl mark on my rear quarter panel. Thank goodness, that was the only place the brush touched the vehicle before I yelled STOP.
  17. Unit #7 was installed yesterday as well as a new voice command module. The service rep and I tried out the IPOD with the new voice command module installed. After waiting for the music catalogue to update on the Journey, I asked for a specific song and like all the other radios before it, the song is highlighted the immediately goes to the next one. So, I tell the service rep, that the first time it was fixed there was a flash update available. His reply was "its a new radio, it should already have the update on it". To which I replied, "my vehicle was built just before the switch over to the new model year, so all the remaining radios for the 2012s would have been manufactured before the update was available, and since there were going to be changes for the 2013's manufacturing of the new radios would have been switched at the factory long before the 2013s would have hit the assembly line." So now he's going to talk to engineering. Then he said, "make sure you try out the GPS on your way home and if it acts up let me know right away". So I punch in my address and away I go. First it wants me to turn right, which would have been the logical way to turn except I knew there were construction delays, so turned left, The GPS recalculated liked it should and then when I turned on to the next street, a left hand turn showed on the screen. If I turned left, it would have been heading back to the construction area, so I turned right. OK, it recalculated again, and was on the same page as me as far as route was concerned, or as I thought. Again the arrow comes up and shows a right hand turn. So far so good. However, the screen showed I was 650 meters from the intersection when I was actually going to have to turn right. So I turn right and it recalculates again. Now, if the recalculation was correct, I would be making another right hand turn, but the screen wants me to turn left. NO, that the exact opposite direction, that I need to travel to get home. So I turn right, so now if the recalculation should show that I have to turn right in 5km and I'm home. NO, it wants me to turn right in 800m, so I do and then I turn right onto a side street and check the address I keyed in, thinking I might have made a mistake, but I hadn't. Now, I didn't turn the vehicle off, but just cancelled the route. I then re-entered my home address, and let it does its route calculation. I was facing north, but have to head south, there was no indication from the "voice" to make a legal u-turn as the side street was a dead end, but head 200m and turn left. So, I drove down to the end of the street and turned around. Lo and behold the "voice" said turn left in 300 meters and then a reminder at 100 meters and it worked perfect after that. So I am thinking since the GPS was just installed it needed a 'break in period" to get my exact location, so I didn't contact the service rep. Tomorrow, I will be using it, to give it another test. For some reason, I have feeling my problems are not solved at this point. Its a bit of a thorn in my side, and one would think that I am beginning to question my purchase of a Journey. Not in the least, I knew going in that by ordering the fancy GPS, I was taking a chance that with all the fancy electronics there could be problems. It to bad that I am having the problems, but going in I had the foresight to make sure that I purchased an extended warranty making sure the electronics in the vehicle are covered. I still love my Journey, and I would still have bought the same option. Heck I have a friend that paid over 70,000 for a fully loaded Lincoln SUV, and his Ford MY Touch has even more glitches, so this type of thing happens.
  18. HI KayKleib89 I have had all the symptoms that you are experiencing. I am currently on my sixth radio/nav with the seventh being installed on Monday. The first problem was the blank screen, took a couple of trips to get fixed as they could not duplicate the problem. On the second occasion, I took the closest exit and snapped a photo of the screen, took the photo in new radio/nav ordered. I turned it off and sure enough when I turned it back on, it worked, but hey that doesn't solve the problem, it only masks the problem. Radio/nav number 2- all seemed to be working fine, when, like yours, the screen went blank, and the message came up "see dealer". About two minutes later the screen came back on, took it to the dealer, radio/nav number 3 ordered. Radiio/nav unit number 3, didn't even last a day before the problems arose. As soon as I left the dealership, I decided to have the nav screen displayed and noticed that the on screen display did not keep up with the vehicle. When I turned the first corner, the nav continued on the street that I turned from and took about 5 or 6 seconds after turning to actually display the street I was driving on. I thought it might just be that the nav has to orient itself, so I gave it a few days. Then I had to enter a destination as a business had moved and I was not familiar with the area it had moved to. The voice came on and said to turn ride in 300 meters, and then there is a reminder about 100 meters. It so happened that there were two streets parallel to each other and only about 100 meters apart, and street signage was horrible. Well half way through the intersection. the voice says turn right. But I'm already past the point where I can turn right. Take it to the dealer, have a tech ride with me, key in a destination, problem still existed, radio number 4 ordered. Radio/nav unit number 4 - navigation worked fine. Took vehicle in for another gremlin that resurfaced and had been fixed with a flash update. Apparently there is no flash update available, and the manufacturer of the unti says there is fix that is on a disk and they will forward it to the dealer. I wait six weeks, where's the fix? The manufacturer admits there is not disc. Radio/nav unit number 5 ordered. Radio/nav unit number 5 - about 4 days later, I have put an address in the nav and proceed to go to destination. The unit worked great for the first 3 days, and all of a sudden it decides that I am not driving on the road but off to the side. Then when I turn the corner, I'm still on the road, or the tunnel that I am going through, but driving through the middle of the river. Then it decides to go off on a tangent all on its own and I am not even within 2 kms of the road I am actually driving on. Have passenger take picture and return to dealer next day. Radio nav unit number 6 ordered Radio/nav unit number 6 - Worked great for about 4 weeks. Then last week, I was in an area that has some very strange road patterns in its residential street makeup. I wanted to skirt around some construction, so keyed in the address that I wanted to go to, since I have not approached it at any time from my current location. So the screen says ready to navigate and the map is stuck. About ten minutes later, it almost catches up, its about a half a km behind. So I zoom out on the screen so I can see my destination and turn onto a north south street, but notice I am driving through peoples yards, so once again, its doing its own thing. It finally locks on the street I am driving on, but continues to lag behind. I turn onto a street named 27A St, but it shows me driving on a street named 26A St. Into the dealer I go and they have ordered unit number 7. By the way this unit is also changing stations at random. You may ask, why do I keep getting a new radio/nav unit each time. Because I refuse to simply turn the unit off and then back on to "fix" the problem. If we were to look at the last problem having to go around a construction area and move this problem to a large city like Seattle or Toronto, and I am on the freeway, it would be very hard to pull over and turn the vehicle off and then on. Another reason, has to do with warranty, as long as they have been unable to fix the problem while the warranty is in effect(and they have history on file), then I feel I should not have to pay for a new unit after warranty has expired, as problem has never been fixed. I would suggest going into the dealer, and let them know about the problem. Since I am not the only one, having the problem, I am thinking there is a bad "batch" of units that were manufactured, and regardless of warranty they should be replaced.
  19. I agree with Redtomatoman, I refer to the DJ as a CUV. To me its a "hybrid" - part car/part truck. Like Bgstr and Rolly - we simply refer to our Journey as DJ
  20. I didn't mention the fuel efficiency as it hasn't been an issue. I just basically tracked the fuel efficiency for the first six months, and I was about the same as most people have been getting on this forum. I don't get obsessed with tracking mileage, if I was I probably would have bought a hybrid. As for improvement in mileage once the vehicle has been broken in, I have noticed that the EVIC reading goes down much quicker now even when I do short trips on the highway. The last time I looked, I was at a high of 13L/100km (all city driving), and on short trip of 40 km on the freeway, the EVIC had dropped to 11.2/km. During break in period, I would probably have to drive 60/70 km to see that type of drop.
  21. Once again I tried to leave a review and I was timed out. Luckily I copied and pasted before I tried to submit, so you will have read the attachment. Dodge Journey Review.doc
  22. Wow, Rolly, that was some kind of trip. I absolutely love Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Northern California areas (as well as Washington and Oregon). I also agree with you on your hospitality that you encountered on your trip, whenever we have been in the US, we have always felt very welcome. I'm not surprised that the Journey did so well on the highway, gas mileage, comfort. The Journey really shows its stuff when on the highway. Nice to hear your GPS worked flawlessly, I'm jealous I'll be writing my one year review tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed yourself
  23. Northstar, I am about to give my one year review. Tried to do it the other night, but I guess I went into to much detail and it wouldn't post. Mrs DoubleO7, is just over 5' and also complains about the seat, but mainly being to hard, and yes she would have liked a height adjustment as well. Having said that the windows are larger then most of the other competition, so even though the seat is low, she doesn't feel claustrophobic like she did in other vehicles we looked at. I will post my review in a few more days. Regards DoubleO7
  24. Air1rfc My build date is around Apr/May, but having said that, the component that includes the Nav. probably came off the same assembly line from the supplier. I was musing this over just yesterday as if there was a flaw from the factory and that everytime they put in a new unit, it may be from the same manufacture date. Each unit they have installed has had a different Navigation problem: no maps on original unit and number three, navigation location lagging behind vehicle on the second one and very inaccurate locations in relation to where I was driving on the 3rd one, all the units including the fourth have a problem with the my IPOD. When I request a song, it goes to that song, but immediately skips to the next. So this tells me they have probably came of the same assembly line. If others are having the problem, it would be nice if they reported it, so Chrysler can see there is a problem and maybe a permanent fix can be found. I will be going in on Tuesday to get the fix for the IPOD problem, as this problem was rectified with the first and second installs. The third only lasted a week, before they decided to install another unit, so there was no update done on it. So far the the latest Nav. unit seems to be working fine, but its only been a few days. One year owner review coming up in 4 days.
