Check that you don't have the ipod set to "shake to Shuffle" as i had that problem for awhile and that ended up being the solution. I'd hit a bump in the road and it would sound like a skip.

That's what happened to me. I listed my car and it sold in three days instead of the two weeks I figured it would. I am currently careless till mine arrives I feel your pain.

It took four weeks to get to a confirmed order © an additional week to get to to level (D) which is an order scheduled for production and an VIN assigned level D1 took an additional week and a half. My car should be on a train by Monday which puts it at 8 weeks from ordering to being fully built. That's not bad considering the factory was shut down over Christmas. If you are at six weeks then it shouldn't be long till you get to the next level.

I don't have my Journey yet either but I already have my weathertech mats and my lockpick mod.

That's 700 for the navtv and an additional cost for the camera that isn't listed.. Seems quite high for the same features that the lock pick provides.

I know the feeling, mine is at the trim stage so I'm still 21 days away from my Journey

Well the lockpick is a modification that isn't factory approved so I would suggest removing it and retesting the radio. That way Dodge can't use the lockpick as an excuse.

That's a good question however in order to patch a chip, you have to get under the car and find the chip.

Yes Krown and rust check are both a light oil sprays which get into crevices much easier. However because of the fact that it is a light spray, it does eventually wash off so it is a yearly cost which is around 100.00. With rust check (and i assume Krown) you get the added benefit of them spraying inside door sills and quarter panels. Just be prepared that this may involve them drilling holes to access those locations. This canbe a scary sight the first time you see it done to your brand new baby. The electronic protection you speak of, wo rks by ionizing the metal in an attempt to prevent rust from being attracted to the metal of the car. I have no idea if it is any better then the spray based systems of not but it sure sounds like a rip off.. Anyone care to add to this?

I personally use the rust check spray system. It is quite similar to the Krown spray in the fact that they both are sprays that can be applied wet and actually repel water and get into all the crevices that water can get into. It prevents that water from freezing and flexing the metal which is why rust starts in the first place. From what I remember, and if I'm wrong, someone please correct me, ziebart is a hard spray coating which covers everything. The problem is that if it chips, and water gets underneath the coating, your car can rust out and you'll never know it.

I was quoted 6-8 weeks max as well when i ordered but then everyone remembered the Christmas shut down. You should get the VIN in another two weeks as that seems to be the common number for those of us who have ordered in the last 2-3 months.

It seems to take at least 4 weeks to get to status "d" where a Vin assigned. Status D1 is when the car is assigned an estimated delivery time. I ordered mine on nov 22 and I received my Vin on Dec 29th. No change as of yet to Mine since then. If you google " dodge journey order codes", the Second link is a list of the various order codes that tell you the progress. Unfortunately us Canadian customers don't have access to the same customer service websites and email addresses that the US customers have.

Yeah that looks like a good deal. That's about 2 grand below MSRP not encluding the warranty and paint protection.

Welcome aboard fellow Torontonian. What dealer did you order it through? I ordered my Journey on Nov 22nd and I'm still waiting for it...its been listed as status "D - firm scheduale" but there is no estimated delivery date yet. . Thankfully this site is keeping sane.

I just confirmed that the website mentioned below and the voimteam email address are just for US customers and will not work for us Canadian customers. I emailed the voimteam and they replied with a standard form letter brush off email that did not answer any of my questions. All they could suggest is that I call my dealer. If the dealer had the info then I wouldn't have had to email them now would I?

Yes the USB plug is just for power and The video is controlled by he iPod. I hadn't thought of wether or not plugging in the USB would override control or not. Let me know what you find. As I'm still waiting for my journey

You need that apple composite Av cable which can be found here; http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748ZM/A The RCA ends (yellow, red, white) go into the lockpick and the USB cable would go into the USB jack in the centre console. My journey hasn't been delivered yet so I can't double check, but you may need to extend the RCA cables depending on where you store the lockpick. Edit: looks like generaltso beat me to the reply, am I wrong about the USB jack? I assumed it went into the cars USB jack....

Woo hoo, got my VIN today.

40 single, no kids (that I know of). I work in live event/video production and I give most of my free time to Scouting. More specifically Venturer and Rover Scouts.

4 weeks in and my Crew has finally reached the C (tentative scheduale) status. woot woot. Hopefully i'll get my VIN before the Christmas factory shutdown.

I guess that solves my question of the lockpick in the 2012's I guess ill order it this week.
