  1. Ive ordered a Canadian 2012 crew and the BT voice command was a $300 option and wasn't standard.
  2. I am not a mechanic but from personal experience i can answer this, The auto shut off on the pump operates by sensing the back pressure causes by air being pushed out of the tank as it approaches full capacity. When you remove the pump and reinsert, you allow that pressure to disapates which then allows you to continue filling. The sensitivity of this varies pump to pump and is not a problem with the Journey but is a function of the pump.
  3. I can't seem to find the email that they sent me but it said somethign like "the 2012 is not on the compatability list but that could change so keep checking the website for changes". I don;t see why it wouldn't work so it's probably a case of "lets say no till we try it". I look forward to your report as i would like to purchase one so i can install it when i get my Journey.
  4. Greetings from toronto. I am still waiting for my 2012 to be built at the factory and this site is the only thing keeping me sane during the wait. There is alot of good info here and i am sure you will enjoy your journey.
  5. According to Coastaltech, the C8 (http://www.coastaletech.com/LOCKPICKC8.htm) is not compatible with the 2012 Journey yet. I did some digging and I found this, http://www.venturatechnology.com.mx/products.asp?product=VT-CHRNAVLINK-02 It looks like the exact same product as the C8 but from Mexico. It is even similarly priced and their website uses the same cameras pictures as coastaltech does. I emailed them and they say theirs works with the 2012's. Has anyone ever heard of ventura technology and if its a good alternative?
  6. Thanks for posting that as I hadn't seen it. I do like how there is minimal buckling past the firewall.
  7. Oh trust me, I know all about "coming soon" as I work in video production and every supplier has something new and improved that they announce as being available next quarter... I'm not holding my breath but I'm in no need of buying them until I know when I'll get my journey..
  8. I contacted Weathertechs Canadian Office (which is 40min away from me) and they hope to have the two hook design early in the new year. Since my Journey won't arrive until late Janurary, i guess i'll hold off on any purchases until mid Jan and see if they have it by then.
  9. Thanks for the pics. I will certainly give that a shot when My Journey finally arrives.
  10. Same with me. I actually was starting to look at other vehicles because the 4.3 looked so tiny and out of place. I'm so glad they are back now
  11. Can you post a pic of the cable routing? I'm curious as i am thinking of doing this when my Journey finally arrives. I hate having the cord dangle out and flap around as i drive. thanks
  12. Due to last years Tsunami in Japan, the 8.4 became unavailable on later 2011 builds and the 4.3 was substituted in its place. It was only last month that the 8.4 became available again for ordering. It does seem wierd that you were not informed of this issue at time of purchase. May I ask the name of the dealer in question?
  13. Thanks, I should have just asked but i managed to figure out most of those dates from your various posts. What i couldn't find was your confirmed date which seems to line up with the parts availability date of 11/1/11, My order was listed as a confirmed order (Code BX) the day after i ordered it on 11/22/11. So based on your timeline, I should have a VIN now but my order is still listed as BX. The dealer is calling head office to see if he can get more info.
  14. I have noticed that most people have waited up to 4 weeks to get to the build stage. That just scares me because that puts me building the week before christmas. If it doesn;t build before christmas, it will be Feburary before i see the car I will check my copy of the order sheet when i get home and see which wheels mine is coming with. There was no talk of the chrome wheels vs painted aluminum so i'm getting whatever is standard with the Crew up here in Canada.
  15. Yeah i agree. I noticed after i posted that you had mentioned 11/1/11 as the availability date and that you had ordered yours on 10/13/11. I wonder if the month that it took for yours to get schedualed had something to do with the 11/1/11 date for the 8.4" screen? If so then perhaps mine won't take a month to get schedualed. fingers crossed. Time for the weekly "bug the dealer" phonecall
  16. I order my 2012 Crew on Nov 22nd and i was told that the 8.4 was now available and standard on the crew trim. It had apparently just become available days prior to my order and my dealer had to look it up as it was news to him. I am so looking forward to delivery day but i'm haveing a rough time waiting. Sadly, the Christtmas factory shutdown will probably extend my agony
  17. Was yours a factory order and if so, how long did it take to arrive?
  18. Congratulations and welcome to the club. I ordered mine last week and it's killing me waiting. I,hoping it will arrive mid January but it may be delayed due to the holiday shutdown
  19. Well then it's a good thing that I'm not expecting the system to win me awards. If that was my goal, id install a custom system or hook up my DJ gear I'm sure it will be better then not having a sub? This waiting for the factory will be quite difficult
  20. Although i live near Paul Wilson, i ended up purchasing it from Agincourt Chrysler. I ordered a Crew package in Brilliant Red Tricoat Pearl with the 7 pass seating, the 8.4 Uconnect with bluetooth and the upgraded speakers with Sub. Now all i can do is wait for it to arrive
  21. i just got home from the dealer and ordering a 2012 Crew in Brilliant Red Tri coat and the countdown to delivery begins.... Now to sell my current Mazda 3 Sport.... oh, BTW, I'm KEvin and i'm in Scarborough Ontario...
