  1. I picked up the Journey but the invoice they gave me doesn't really specify any details. My Sirius channels are now correct but it was listed on a seperate line as a different flash so I don't think either 078 or 082 had anything to do with that. I don't have the invoice with me right now. I'll come back and edit this post later if I have a minute. EDIT: Alright here's how it's divided up on the invoice: ELECTRICAL - CHECK UPDATE FOR U-CONNECT - FLASH HANDS FREE MODULE Labour: 01 Mechanical work - 0.8 units DRIVEABILITY - PERFORM RRT 11-078 Labour: 01 Mechanical work - 0.2 units DRIVEABILITY - PERFORM RRT 11-082 Labour: 02 Body shop work - 0.3 units So basically the first part is what probably fixed the Sirius channel problem with the hands free. I'm not sure what they did with RRT 11-082 that required "body shop work". If I had noticed at the service desk, I would have asked. Anyone know?
  2. I just dropped off the Journey for an oil change and to get this update and was told 11-069 doesn't apply for me. He said the only two updates showing for my Journey are 11-078 and 11-082. Hopefully this will stop the starter problem from happening again and also fix my Sirius channels going to the wrong station with voice commands. I'll keep you posted.
  3. Wow, maybe I didn't pay enough attention to mine but I'm almost sure all 4 are like the first pic with the center nut. I'll have to take another look!
  4. I'd also really like to know about this shimming you're talking about. I've been having a slight vibration in my seat (feels like it's coming from the rear) that gets randomly worst at times and barely noticeable (although still there) at other times. This is since I've changed from the stock 19" wheels to my winter setup which is brand new 16" wheels and tires. I've had the tires re-balanced 3 times, changed two rims in case they were bent and it's still doing the same thing. I wonder if for some reason I hadn't noticed the problem with my 19's and now I'm noticing it with the 16's although that doesn't really make any sense to me. Can someone please point me to that shimming discussion?
  5. If you find anything please let me know. I'd be interested in this also.
  6. Thanks for the info! I'm almost due for an oil change so I'll have them do the update at the same time.
  7. Just wondering if this is something you guys have ever seen or had happened before. I stopped for gas yesterday and like I always do when my wife is with me I pressed the start button twice to stop the engine and set it to ACC so she could keep listening to the radio. I must have pressed it 3 times by mistake because all of a sudden, the starter started to turn and turn but the truck wasn't starting. It's like it was stuck in a loop and the starter just kept turning. I tried to press the start button again numerous times but it's like it was frozen in the RUN position. I was pretty freeked out because unlike a normal ignition where I would have simply taken out the key, I couldn't just throw the fob as far as possible hoping it would stop. About 15 seconds into it I figured I'd try something different and I held the start button down. I'm not sure if it was just lucky timing or if that's actually what stopped the engine from turning over but it finally did stop. I then gassed up the truck and it started as usual but the check engine light stayed on. I was gonna call Dodge to make an appointement but the light went off after going for a couple drives. I'm not sure what the heck happened but I hope it doesn't ever do that again. Didn't sound healthy at all!
  8. My 2011 didn't come with one but I simply told my salesman it was available and he got me one free of charge.
  9. Glad you found some wheels big bob! I had the balancing re-checked this morning and two of the rims are bent and that's what's causing the vibration. Called Goguen Tires and they're ordering me two replacements right away. I have to say the Journey feels so light with the 16's compared to the 19's now. Those 19's are HEAVY! My fuel mileage has gone up quite a bit too. It's showing 10.8L/100KM right now and I'm usually at around 11.5-12.
  10. Hi again, just figured I'd let you guys know the 16's are now installed so no problems with fitting. I do have a small vibration when over 100 km/h but I'm bringing it back monday morning to have the balancing re-checked. My Journey is brilliant black and I love the look with the black rims. I think if I had the cash I would get my 19's redone in a darker color. Something like this.
  11. I got them in the Moncton area: Goguen Tires Inc - 1140 rue Champlain, Dieppe, NB E1A 8L8 - (506) 388-9922 ‎ I hear ya. Last winter was brutal around here!
  12. I second this opinion 100%. One guy I work with drives a new Ford Edge and the Ford Sync system is painfully slow. Once you've tried Uconnect, it doesn't even compare.
  13. I recently bought a set of 16" rims for my 2011 R/T from a local tire shop for $58 plus tax each. The sales guy said the 2011 Journey was listed as a compatible model in their system so they should fit. I'm getting them installed tomorrow so I will let you know how it went.
  14. Very strange. Have you tried another ipod cable and is your iPod firmware is up to date?
  15. Ah good catch Armendegga! No biggie. $740 with taxes and fees is still a great price for those tires! My local tire shop could only offer them at $830 plus tax. I'm pretty sure Canadian Tire offers free installation (excluding balancing) with tire purchases too.
  16. The General Altimax Arctic's are out of stock but Canadian Tire has 225/70R16 Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 for $158.49 right now. Pretty good price. Plus I'm pretty sure you can use the following coupon from michelin's website and get $70 back on top of that! http://www.michelin.ca/pdf/MX_Fall_2011_promo_EN.pdf
  17. This was actually a $500 option for us. It wasn't included in the price of our Journey. It also includes ding repair and replacement of a lost or damaged key fob among some other things I can't think of right now.
  18. Thanks for the info! I just send an email to my salesman. We'll see what he has to say.
  19. You can get the update here: https://qna.extra.chrysler.com/rhb/uConnectTouchPlaylistRadioUpdate.do Unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem for me. It's still going to the wrong station.

    Uconnect

Sounds like your Blackberry is turning off its bluetooth function. When you loose the connection, are you actually "pairing" your phone again or are you just "reconnecting" its bluetooth connection. Once it looses connection, if you go in the uconnect phone settings, do you still see your Blackberry listed in there or does it disapear completely. Unless it's no longer listed, I would say you need to look at your Blackberry as the problem and not uconnect. You may find help in the Blackberry forums: http://www.blackberryforums.com/
  21. The first part is a complete kit and the second part is the sensor only. So if you're replacing a sensor, you probably don't need the whole kit. If you need to install sensors on a spare set of wheels, you probably need the kit. 68078768AA - SENSOR KIT, Tire Pressure (Includes: Sensor, Nut and I-Sheet) 56029398AA - SENSOR, Tire Pressure
  22. I would agree with that statement...since the tow prep is just an oil cooler and wiring harness (not even sure it adds the connector itself), it doesn't change anything in regards to the actual hitch. If it's just a cargo carrier the max tongue weight should be 350 lbs IMO. It's just common sense.
  23. I suppose I could introduce myself while I'm here. I'm 30 and have been married for 3 years. We have a 2 year old daughter and another on the way. I work at a university as a computer tech. Traded in our 2009 Toyota Matrix for the 2011 Dodge Journey R/T. No complaints so far!
  24. I wouldn't pry off the start button. This is what the owners manual says: In case the ignition switch does not change with the push of a button, the RKE transmitter (Key Fob) may have a low or dead battery. In this situation a back up method can be used to operate the ignition switch. Put the nose side (side opposite of the emergency key) of the Key Fob against the ENGINE START/STOP button and push to operate the ignition switch.
