  1. It's actually 2000 lbs max for the 3.6 without trailer tow prep. The full chart is posted here: http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/topic/2373-how-much-weight/
  2. LMAO I just noticed your username after reading that comment. Good to see you've got a sense of humour haha!
  3. I have the same issue with mine. I haven't tried since doing the software update. I'll let you know when I get a chance to try it out.
  4. Just to be clear, I'm not getting this shipped to me directly. I'm having it shipped to Ace HomeCenter in Calais Maine (www.kinek.com) and will go pick it up once it's arrived. I'm in Moncton NB so it's about a 3 hour drive each way but we're gonna make a little day trip out of it. My dad needs some tires too so we're gonna split the gas. EDIT: I just noticed you're in NFLD...when you said island I assumed PEI. I can see that it wouldn't make sense for you to have it shipped to the border haha. Sorry can't help you there!
  5. Shipping to Calais Maine ranges from $140 to $160. I priced a set of 225/70R16 Michelin Latitude Alpin on 4 steel rims with the 4 sensors installed and balanced and after all expenses (shipping, taxes, duty, pickup costs, etc) it all comes to around $1100 CAD. Just for the tires alone at my local Canadian Tire, it costs about $800 CAD with taxes. I figure I'll save at least $300.
  6. If you go on the tirerack.com website and search for a 2011 Journey you can actually select a 16" winter tire & wheel package. The 16" steel wheels are $57 each plus $39 if you want the tire pressure sensor. It says the wheels will only be available 09/01/11 though. I think that's what I'll get to replace the 19" on my 2011 R/T. I'm gonna have them shipped to the border. WAY cheaper than buying locally.
  7. Not a problem. I appreciate you taking the time to check.
  8. Here you go. Directly from the 2011 Owners Manual:
  9. Well that's quite interesting...two different sites with the same part but different specs. It does make more sense that it would be 3500 lbs. All the hitches I've seen with a 2" opening are at least 3500 lbs. Is there a weight rating or anything at all stamped on yours?

The Husky Liners are still the 2010 models. I imagine they may add the 3rd row option when they start selling the 2011 models. My in-laws have the WeatherTech for their Edge and Rav4 and they love them so it's a good buy either way.
  11. I appreciate the comments guys...from what I've read about the OEM hitch on these forums so far, I'm better off staying away from them. That's too bad because I really liked the vertical mount idea so it would be hidden. I guess I'll probably go with Hidden Hitch or Draw-Tite. They must be the same company because it's the same hitch and the websites are identical except for the colors: http://www.hiddenhitch.com/content/products.aspx?lvl=3&parentid=1000&catID=1040∂=87487 http://www.draw-tite.com/content/products.aspx?lvl=3&parentid=1000&catID=1040∂=75648
  12. Actually, I just found part # 210403AB on dodgeparts.com and it says it's only good for 2000 lbs. https://www.dodgeparts.com/product_info.php/products_id/2773?osCsid=45236337cd9c7c049e70a3ed29066a7c Just wondering where you got the 3500 lbs from. Thanks again!
  13. Hi guys, just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. If I have my dealer install the OEM receiver: 210403AB - This receiver is a one piece welded assembly for added strength and is covered with a double layered, E-coated paint finish to resist rust. 3,500 lb, 350 lb tongue, 2" opening. And then get this Curt vertical mount: http://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/Curt/C45003.html I should be all set to tow up to 3500 lbs / 350 lbs TW Right? I really like the idea of the vertical receiver since it's not visible when your remove the mount but anything under 3500 lbs wouldn't be enough for my needs. Thanks for any help you can offer!
  14. I was having this exact same problem with my iPhone 4. I updated the phone to version 4.3.3 and it fixed it.
  15. Haha I was having the same issue with the beeping and had no idea where it was coming from. Thanks for the info!

    Where do you live?

Shediac NB, Canada Black 2011 R/T AWD
  17. Are you guys 100% sure about this information? I assumed the Journey already had a tranny cooler since the only thing the trailer tow prep package adds is an oil cooler and the 4 pin harness. I can't imagine Dodge would state a 3500lbs limit after installing the tow prep package without having a tranny cooler. Hmmm...
  18. Maybe I shouldn't do this but I've always just tapped my wire into one of the under dash fuses and I've never had any problems.

    Floor mats

    - The mats are more of a hard plastic material. I actually prefer this as they keep their shape and don't move around at all this way. - The mats are actually black. It was really sunny that day and that's probably why they look grey. My carpet and leather are black and they blend in perfectly. - I didn't buy the second row liners so I can't tell you how easy it would be to access the storage bins. The site says it's a one peice liner so yes it covers the bump. - Yes they can be ordered through your local retailer. That's what I did. http://www.huskyliners.com Take care!

It's really not as bad as it looks. I think it's just the angle the picture was taken from. I'll try to take a pic from the passenger side so you can see what I mean.

    Floor mats

Picked up my Husky Liners front floor mats yesterday. Overall I'm really happy with them. I love the checkered plate look. I think these are the same as the 2010 models though because there's just one little bump for a retaining clip in the middle of the mat instead of one on each sides. It doesn't really matter though as the retaining clips don't lift the corners in any way and the bottom of the mats have tiny rubber spikes all over that hold it in place super tight so it doesn't move around at all. Sorry about the pic quality I just took these real quick with my phone.
  22. Exactly the same for me...about 2000kms right now and averaging 11.5 - 12.5 with about 40/60 (city/highway) since the day I got it. EDIT: Forgot to add it's a R/T AWD
  23. Wow thanks guys! I just called my salesman and told him about this. He just called me back saying he will have one for me in a week or two at no charge since it should have been there in the first place. Sweet!

Yeah I know what you mean. When you go on the WeatherTech site and select the 2011 Journey it asks how many retaining clips there is and the only option is 1. I'm picking up the Husky Liners this week so I'll take some pictures and will post them on here.
