  1. From what I have heard all the fuses are under the hood. Check out the owners manual.
  2. Be sure that it has the BCM flash so you don't have battery problems. Also keep the key fobs 20' or more away from the car when it is parked at the house. Read "battery problems with 2011 Journeys under TSB, Maintenance, etc.
  3. Got some great information from "DodgeCares". Certainly sounds like the problem I was having. Now we wait to see if i get a dead battery again. Thanks!
  4. Don't know if this is the same TSB that They did on my Journey. The TSB number wan't on the repair document.
  5. That is weird because I have the 8.4N system. Can you give me the TSB number and where you found information on it?
  6. Got the car back from the dealer today after three days. The service manager didn't mention the above TSB but said they did have a TSB on the BCM (body control module). They flashed the BCM for "battery drain issues." We will see if this works. I am turning the Passive Entry System back on and will see what happens. We will keep the key fobs more than 20 feet away from the car just to be safe.
  7. Thanks for the answer. Wasn't sure but what you say possibly might work. Of course that is another feature like the passive entry that we won't be able to take advantage of to solve a problem that Chrysler should have fixed a year or so ago.
  8. Update: Took the Journey into the dealer Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. for my "appointment." Didn't hear a word on Monday and so i called Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. for an update. The service manager said it was next in line to be looked at. They had not even looked at it in a day and a half! Now that is what I call good service!
  9. Is "Retained Accessory Power" feature the same as Passive Entry System?
  10. It is a sad day when you have to go out and buy a battery booster pack in order to feel safe driving a new Dodge 2011 Journey with less than 1500 miles. Chrysler needs to take notice and stop saying that they haven't heard of this problem. BS!
  11. Just happened for the second time! Car is on the charger again. Called Chrysler Customer Service and they said that there were no service bulletins or recalls about this problem. She said recalls are vin specific. Suggested taking it to the dealer and have them diagnose the problem. I told her that most of the time they will say that they can't replicate the problem so they can't fix it. I am taking it in Monday so I will hopefully have some information after that.
  12. The key fob may be low enough that it won't start from any distance away. Try pushing the start button with the end of the fob. That is what Toyota told a friend of mine to do on his Toyota. It might just work for a Dodge.
  13. Well, it happened to me today, or I should say my wife. The battery was totally dead! Yesterday we noticed that when we started the car the A/C was off and the temp was reset at 72 degrees F. we normally keep it around 66. I mean everything was dead, no lights at all. In the process of charging the battery now. Does anyone have any updates on this situation? I hate to turn off the Passive Entry because that is one of the neat features that my wife and I like. Plus not sure that will fix the problem. This is my wife's car and I can't afford to have her stranded somewhere and I might not be in close proximity.

  15. Welcome to the fun! I think you will enjoy your Journey.
  16. Not sure where you are getting your information but this is a good site to compare tire sizes. With the 235 tire vs. the 225 tire you are going 60.9mph when the speedo says 60mph. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
  17. My phone controls are on the steering wheel???
  18. Glad you are liking it so far. I have had my 2011 Lux now for about 6 weeks and love it.
  19. That is common in some cars. Usually the filler pipe has a tight bend going down to the tank. If you run the nozzle wide open the fuel hits the bend and backs up in the nozzle therefore causing the auto shutoff feature to stop the fuel.
  20. welcome. Hope you enjoy your new Journey.
  21. Must be why we don't see many down our way. They are all in Canada! :D
  22. I have seen a handful of Journeys around Tulsa but not many.
  23. Welcome from another Okie.. Bought the 2011 Lux and love it so far. GO SOONERS!
