    Noises

    The solution is here: http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?showtopic=454
  2. And where can I find the manufacture date of my car? EDIT: I have just realized we we took delivery of the car before 07-10-08
  3. A smaller tire is generally better for traction during winter. If you change of size and don't put TPMS during winter, the low pressure indicator will stay on all the time and ring each time you will start the car. But there is nothing dangerous. Some cars limit speed to 80km/h when there is no TPMS, but it is not supposed to be like that on the Journey. If you want to stay with the 19", you can also look at the Toyo Open Country G02+.
  4. Look here, there is one at the end: http://www.dodge.de/journey/galerie.html And an other there: http://www.dodge.de/journey/interieur/cockpit.html
  5. In Canada, we only have the 2.4 4-speed automatic transmission or the 3.5 V6 6-speed automatic transmission. No manual transmission and no diesel engine. A 2.7 V6 was supposed to be available, but I have not seen one yet and the dealer dont know if it will be available.
  6. The problem is solve by replacing the muffler because they fix the problem without realizing it. The dealer told me that the growling is due to bolts that are not tightened enough, and at 2000RPM, it makes a vibration. The only way to see this is by undoing a part of the muffler. They did that on mine and 90% of the problem is solve. Chrysler will publish a rapid response soon on this. The howling is another problem. It comes from the transmission. Chrysler is still working on this to find a solution.

    Where do you live?

    Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada
  8. My dealer changed the master cylinder for the second time and this time, Chrysler told them that the sensor was burning because of water. What I understood is that something on the master cylinder need to be seal... (it has never been done, even when it was brand new!). I think a rapid response is on the way...
  9. They changed mine too when the car was around 10 000km. Now the car is 24 600km and the light is back again. Is it a bad luck or is there a problem with this piece???
  10. I'm realy not happy!!! The light came on around 10 000km. The dealer changed the master cylinder and it fixed the problem. Now the car is 24 600km and the light is back again! Is it a bad luck or is there a real problem with this piece??
  11. If you want to stay with your 19 inches wheels, there is a way. The original tire size is 225/55/19. For the winter, you can put 255/50/19. The only diffenrence is that your speedometer reading will be 1% too slow. 1% is not a big difference. In this size, you'll have choice for winter tires. The only thing is that 19 inches tires are very expensive!

    1st problem

Don't loose your time with the dealer, there is an easy way to reset the window. Look in your owner's guide, all the procedure is there! I had the same problem and I solved it by doing the procedure in the owner's guide. I don't remind the procedure and I don't have the car (and the book) with me, but you'll find it for sure.
  14. The dealer changed the power steering pump. The same day, the sound was still there. Some days later, it completely stopped. I don't hear it anymore...

    First problem

I also have a sound from the middle of the dashboard and cannot find from where it comes. It is strange beacuse it appears only last sunday. Like all of you, it is only at highway speed. If someone find from where it comes, please tell me!!!
  16. Oh yeah, all I told in my previous message is if you don't have the evic!
  17. Yes there is!! Put your key in the ignition. Turn the key from LOCK to ON (not ACC) 4 times (you finish at the lock position). Do this under 45 seconds (I think it is 45, not sure). Immediately after, press the unlock button on the driver's door. You'll hear a little sound to confirm the success. With this feature activate, all the doors will unlock ONLY when the driver will open his own door!
  18. There's nothing in my book about this, but I found how to do this after some try. I have to push the lock button and 2 times the unlock button and hold it... funny feature!
  19. Do the same thing to turn it back on!
  20. I drove an other Journey at the dealer today and all the strange sounds I hear in mine were NOT on the new one. Trust me they'll have to fixt them on mine!!!
  21. I think I have the same problem. I have a kind of whistle from the engine bay. I drove a demo and was doing the same thing. The tech heard the same, but they don't want to solve the problem because they don't know if it is normal!!! I'll try to test an other one tomorrow... I also have a kind of growl in my exhaust and the dealer told me they couldn't do anything... yeah, right <_< I love the car, but those rattles make me crazy!!!
  22. Same thing here! The light came on for no reason while driving last sunday!
  23. Press "lock" for 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds, while the "lock" is still down, press "Panic" and release both buttons at the same time... you're done!
  24. When the alarm starts, just press "unlock" to stop it.
