  1. Hi there. I know this post is 2 years old, but I was wondering if you ever determined the issue? I currently have a 2012 Dodge Journey RT. About 2 months ago, I had the first, shall I say "event". While driving one night, the wipers came on by themselves, the dash lights went out, my dash warning lights came on, and I had a NO BUS message where my odometer reading would typically be. Went home, put the battery charger on it, (charge after each event, and battery is typically down to about 50% at the time). Took it to a local garage, paid for a diagnostic, which said TIPM was the issue. We have replaced the TIPM and it is doing it again. We are at a loss, and cannot afford to keep taking it for "diagnostics", only to find out that the answer did not fix the issue. Thank you!
  2. I live in Canada, and this is my first winter with my new to me, 2012 Journey RT. The battery currently in the journey has a 550CCA rating. We would like to put in as large a battery as possible, because I am currently having to jump start it with the colder temperatures (hooked current battery to tester and has just over 300CCA available). Has anyone installed a battery larger (hoping to get at least 800CCA) in their Journey? Can installing a larger sized battery affect anything? I love my Journey, and just want to ensure that I am able to start it all winter. I have a 2012 Dodge Journey RT 3.6 VVT Thanks for any help! Greatly appreciated!
  3. I have no check engine light on. The fuel is always kept at a minimum half tank. I did notice that when I exited the vehicle the other day that my 4 ways blinked when I opened my drivers door. Is this normal? Could this be a clue as to why the remote start seems to be disabled? I appreciate all the help from you guys!
  4. Looking for some assistance. A few months ago I purchased a used 2012 Dodge Journey RT with factory remote start. I have used it occasionally since, but was really looking forward to it when our colder weather hit (I am in Canada). Now that it is cooler in the mornings I have been attempting to use the remote start, but the vehicle will not start. When I go out it says Remote Start disabled, use pedal to start car. Do it and car starts fine. Now for the rest of the day, remote start works. First start of the morning, always disabled. This defeats the purpose of me having remote start. It was so my vehicle could be warming while I finish getting ready for work. I have my original fob and a brand new fob, but it does not matter which one I use. Can anyone help this poor girl who just wants to get into a warm car? Thanks!
