    I have this same issue now. I've been replacing suspension parts that I knew needed to be replaced. Now I replaced all my troubled parts and it's silent except for making certain left turns I hear this grinding and feel it in the middle. No other noises from the car. I seem some of what has to come off. That cradle is going to be a pain in the butt for me to do. Glad I found this in here. Did you also have any issues when accelerating from a stop and hear a vibrating noise?

    Do the tank was replaced in a day as I expected it would take but at the end the service advisors were attempting to charge me for the cleaning of the tank lol. I was about to go off because the guy tries to tell me yeah you had a gas leak and we have to do a generic cleaning (whatever the heck that means) I looked at him like dude it's a new tank I am not paying for no cleaning of anything the leak was at the bottom of the tank. There isnt anything to clean at all not to mention the manager called me before ordering a tank and told me I would not pay anything because they are covering the tank. I just think the advisors was trying to make some money commission or something I dont know. So if your tank needs to be replaced and you have max care from carmax they should cover it. I payed 0 dollars. New tank

    Well update now. Carmaxx calls me and says they need to order a tank now, which is what I said I would need to begin with I was correct. It took 2 whole work days for them to try and replace the o ring that mopar does not sell, and I'm willing to bet that dodge would not have tried that but they are not dodge so theres that. However I showed them the part list they still tried to do it but now they have to replace the tank which will take 6 days to arrive. Service advisors are just really over paid middle men. The tech and I would have had a clear understanding but I guess this is there way of doing things which is costing them more money so. $0 out of pocket the tank parts are not interchangeable hopefully this thread helps someone out hopefully this isn't someone else's experience

    The 108 charge is going to be discounted on the labor. Everything is covered under warranty except that clean combination. I'm just keeping any paper they give me just incase. Also keeping this thread as updated with as much information as possible in case someone else on here has this failure happen.

    I mean come on let's be realistic if you are in a trade you usually have to clean where you are going to work. Gasoline basically cleans itself what are you cleaning, are shops going to start charging for mechanics washing their hands its ridiculous.

    I dont expect dodge to cover it at all as no car company would unless it's a recall or they are doing it out of good faith but I love my dodge and dodge cars overall just wish their warranty was linger to no deal with outsiders crap. Yes I do have paperwork on what's covered, it's a long list of what they wont cover if...etc etc. Carmax wants me to pay for the cleaning of the gas tank because that is not covered. Which I think is stupid at first they say its 100 something but we can discount it down to 35, I'm just like really. At first carmax didnt want to deal with it they seemed nicely pushy to say dodge might cover this, no they wont, the service advisors here are just really overpaid middle man. In total so far 11/2/19 car is still in shop because they couldnt finish the job on friday 11/1/19 because carmax is closed weekends.

    I came into carmaxx they are saying the issue may be under warranty I call dodge and absolutely not. I let them look at it the leak is coming from the tank where the seal is ( seal is not replaceable) would have to change the tank itself. Carmaxx maxcare is denying the repair, funny thing is I called them earlier ( the carmax max care phone number) and was told yes they would repair it as long as it was not due to collision. Here at carmaxx I'm getti g a different story, now I'm sitting g waiting for them to resubmit the claim. Dodge wont cover it and carmaxx looks like they want to push it off on me. Bad look for both companies smh my second journey with some issues that develop after warranty expires.

    I wiped it off it's coming off the inlet that's the video I wish I could show but yes its leaking from the inlet. I looked online also and seen those parts. But I would shocked if that isn't covered as its nothing I could've caused hopefully I have no issues. I go to carmax on the 31st couldn't get anything sooner not even other shops. The tank looks like a pretty easy job to do but I see it is very costly, i couldn't see if that inlet is a part on the mopar page. I was tempted on trying to temp fix it but I'm leaving it alone dont wantnto void anything and it has stopped leaking now that its lower than a half tank. Will keep you posted on what happens hopefully all goes well.

    Definitely will this is my 2nd dodge journey with some random failures after regular warranty expired. I urge mopar owners to get the extended warranty I didnt get it on my last journey and regretted had to fix rocker arms myself, love my truck over any other suv hands down just feel they need a longer warranty. However I have a video but couldn't post it here but wish I could. The picture attached shows item #6 which is the hose you see in my original post, that hose (#6) is what goes directly to the tank I do not know or recognize the item that is in between the hose and tank (tank is black) the plastic looking piece I dont know itlf that is a fitting or all one piece but from the looks of it theres nothing that resembles it in the mopar parts page, would hate to hear someone get seriously injured because a fault like this which doesn't seem common yet as I checked for recalls and nthsa, but being I work in construction sites I'm glad I been working at a campus close to home. However lately i had my wife and kids in this thing glad nothing crazy happened you know.

    The images is of the gas tank the leak appears to be coming from where the filler hose meets the tank I had noticed a little gas smell nothing to crazy plus it's been raining where I'm at. 2 days later I fill up and go home now it's just steady drip drip drip so I jack the car up a bit to take these pictures, has anyone else had this issue I have extended warranty cant get into a repair shop of theirs until 10/31/2019 and that's for them to diagnose the problem today is 10/25/2019 No check engine light no accidents and never bottomed out. The blue circle gets to me I wonder if this has been worked on before the problem is already circled, and the gas tank is not part of the powertrain.Does anyone else who has a AWD GT have this blue circle on their gas tank. Has anyone else had this failure maybe similar?

    I do not like the look of in channels and have you ever told kids to no do something and they do it anyway. I'm good. I don't want to be responsible for my visors flying off and hitting a car. Someone has to have some like these I can't be the only one.

    I checked carid that was my second spot I looked at but again. When they arrive they don't fit so well. Not a fan of in channels I got kids they probably would screw that up. Just hoping someone has some that look like these and can pass along the name. All the stock photos of these products all look the same sure wish I got the name of the ones I had smh

    Vehicle is a 2017 DJ. So I had these rain guards on my old journey that got crashed can't find it in my purchase history as it's over 2 years ago. Now I got another beautiful dodge journey and can't find rain guards that fit this well. I ordered some they didn't not fit well they were curved wrong showing the car color I don't want in channels either. Now all I see is some that fit but don't follow the curves properly seems to be my constant issue and very limited when I search it up. If anyone has rain guards that look like these please pass along the name. I know avs(auto vent shade) doesn't fit well. I appreciate all you guys/ladies help as always. Thanks

    I'm in pain but I did walk away no airbag deploy in a way I'm happy it didn't deploy and sock me right in the nose. But the car took a lot of damage for a rear ending it now has a broken windshield but I can safe I am alive at the speed I was hit the journey should have been a lot more worst looking but it did its job sucks it had to take that hit. I have the 2016 rt love that car had a few issues that I got over but overall I stand by this car looks and all. Now I'm trying to find a dj red with sunroof and gps and back up cam. I don't think they make a rt with a sunroof haven't found one.

    So the other day unfortunately I was in a accident my journey was rear ended pretty bad might just be Total loss I'm looking for a journey rt or gt with sunroof and everything else (back up cam, gps, roof rack) seems like they do no exsist. Has anyone have this paclage. Am I unaware of something. I want me another dj I had some lil issues but I loved my dj sad to see her all banged up. Also is there a suspension difference between the crossroad and the r/t gt?

    Haven't been able to figure out what the big Chung of rubber is from. However I found that the oil filter is leaking from around the gasket. Now I am not using a Mopar filter, I'm using the mobile 1 annual filter( which I change every oil change) I've went hand tight with a quarter turn with a wrench to half turn to 3/4 and still a slight leak. Can it just be the gasket. I'm just like how can oil keep getting past the gasket I'm not trying to go he man strength on the filter and break the housing because I've seen the amount of labor tht hoes into replacing those things. Has anyone had this issue with the oil filter its just like a very slow flow of oil.

    I'm just wondering if that random piece of rubber goes to the motor mounts or strut tower and it just has oil on it from where ever it maybe coming from. It a big piece of rubber I'd probably would have no oil if that piece went to something holding oil in. Again thanks in advance for you your guys in put truly helpful community.

    2016 Dodge journey rt 3.6L fwd. I'll have less than a quart between oil changes. But as of lately I'll notice oil drips not a whole lot but enough for me to raise concern(any bit of oil for that matter make me worry) I've added oil when I have noticed I was still in the safe zone on the dip stick but at the bottom put enough to bring it past the half way mark on the dipstick. The hose was taken off so I can get better pictures of the spots where oil is at. Another weird piece of info. I have a scanner my mil light came on for evap purge. But light went off on it's own. I scan it and it shows up as historical fault. Tried clearing it to see what hapoens, you know maybe it will repeat itself and it will not clear off. No mil light just shows when scanner is on.

    I do not see any leak or moisture around the valve covers at all. Now I am using the mobile one annual filter but I swap it out during regular oil changes I can't seem to figure it out. Now I found that rubber piece just hanging out on top of the box where my finger is pointed. Sorry for not knowing all the part names bare with me.

    Ok so this is my problem who ever designed this is not the smartest person. This box is mounted right under the seat and the yellow foam is the only protection they provided. You can see the board is burnt from the metal touching it. Funny part is this was one of my issues months back when I got the car. Wires are too short to relocate the box, the box always fell out. Design flaw. I think so.

    So I had it pulled out the car metal was touching the mother board inside. Reshaped it but it might be done. Couldn't tell if anything was shorted out. Found out it's not for the towing chasis control unit. Apparently I shouldnt have any parts from ram in the journey. Now to figure out if I order 1 when I got time and money to spare cuz summer here I don't need it. But I'm trying to fix it as soon as I can. I looked up the part and keep seeing the freemount (Fiat version) of this part.

    Ok I thought that was the issue since it was slightly dented. Been driving most ofthe day. Also the box of hot to the touch uncomfortably hot thought I hit jackpot on my problem. I'm going to see if I locate the module for the heated seat pull it out and bring it to my buddy see if it's damaged.

    What is this box under driver seat this box kept falling and now it's a lil dented wonder if this is my problem anyone know what this is?
