  1. Have you tried to replace the crankshaft sensor located in the back of engine it's easier to get through underneath. It will be behind a heat shield remove only 2 bolts from the shield pull away enough to get the crankshaft sensor out. It should only take about 20-30 mins to do. Replaced this on my friends 2.4L Avenger as well as his spark plugs and coil boots fixed his rough engine power loss
  2. I haven't had this issue on my Dodge Journey, but the exact same symptoms on my G35 as you described. The cause was a failing camshaft sensor Replaced and problem solved
  3. If you can handle the white vinegar smell for a couple of days spray that in the car it will completely eliminate the smell. My son peed on his mattress (made of memory foam so no springs) once it smelled horrible sprayed some white vinegar mixed with water had it air dry outside for 2 days smell was completely gone. But yes you will need to spray on the source.
  4. Thanks for the input guys but this wasn't a being cheap and letting the gas tank run on empty type of problem. This is my first doge product I hope nothing else major like this goes out soon. I own a 2004 Infiniti g35 6sp manual has 320k miles runs strong have changed cam sensors starter, battery and clutch . So I do hope dodge isn't going cheap on its parts but only time will tell.
  5. Mpg difference was 1mpg haha. But throttle response is definitely there worth 200 definitely a no. Reasons is the intake it self had imperfections like one of the ends is a little jagged looking inside the tube it looked like they used an older pipe. The air temp sensor wasn't cut all the way around. And finally I used different intake clamps the ones included were too big. If the intake tube was 100 dollars then I would say it's worth it
  6. I'm not entirely sure on the water pumps but the oil pump is definitely covered since you would have to dismantle the top of the block to remove the oil pump. Many people think oh remove the oil pump by removing the oil pan nope doesn't work that way. I experienced that when I was working on my g35.
  7. I hear you unfortunately dodge claims this isn't under their warranty, but since an old acquaintance of mine works there they were willing to replace the part . In return I pay the diagnosis and an hour worth of labor. Total cost 230 ish plus tax getting my vehicle back tomorrow I just found it odd that it failed without warning.
  8. Not sure on brand but I got them on Amazon at the time they are the best investment for this vehicle by far. I added an hid kit since these are halogens. The lights have been on my car for about a year now I have a YouTube video up for them.
  9. I have a 2015 Dodge Journey SXT V6 with 45K miles tried to start it on Saturday would crank wouldn't turn over. I tested the fuses battery spark plugs and coil packs. Took it into dodge dealership they concluded my fuel pump went out is that possible at 45k miles. What are your guys opinion on this subject I feel like I'm not being told something here.
  10. That's good to hear blacktop16 I'll definitely report back later this week to share my thoughts and results on this intake resonator delete.
  11. Add better branded spark plugs like NGK...personally I don't trust champions or those autolites. Also have you tried to test the spark of the coil pack to see if clear a gap of 30000volts they are inexpensive on Amazon about 10 dollars. And it will definitely show you whether or not your coil pack sparks can make the jump gap as well as give you a visual if it's firing consistently. Also one last thought maybe you have a short in your wiring harness that leads to the coil packs. Good luck and keep us informed we truly appreciate it.
  12. Yeah I should of but the worst part is that the person screen shot pics from my YouTube video. I emailed him saying that it wasn't ok for him to use and he told me that it was his vehicle.. I was like on my driveway but anyways the headlights are definitely worth it.
  13. Sorry to hear that yes the 2.4L towing capabilities is extremely low. That's due to the lack of power output should of gone with the 3.6L Dodge Journey. You will need to buy a trailer receiver and then the hitch for it and prices depending on brand will vary. Those hitch receivers are available online Amazon or eBay and Walmart carries them too. Good luck
  14. Nice I added mine as well I have a YouTube video and that oemmassive asshole used my vehicles photos without my permission. But yes these headlights are amazing adds luxury and aggressiveness to our dodge journeys.
  15. Installed mine today was a little more work then I expected I ended up removing the intake plenum to be able to fit the intake delete pipe through. So far I got to say the throttle response is definitely an improvement like no joke. I will be keeping an eye of this week for the mpg differences if any occurs. My average mph is 17-18 a week a lot of city and moderate high way distances.
  16. My question is you ported your cylinder heads? And how can you port a lower intake manifold on this car it's impossible? Why because our manifolds are plastic. I would like to see these images of this work done.
  17. bubbling in your coolant reservoir usually is a blown head gasket. Exhaust gasses are entering your cooling system causing it to overheat. Expensive repair if it's your gasket you'll have to do a compression test to confirm this.
  18. They'll have to do a compression test and see whether you have coolant in your oil. If it is blown that will be an expensive repair...might be better off with another used engine.
  19. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sKfCiqB4pL8 This is how to remove the grille as well as he headlights from a Dodge Journey
