  1. Greetings, I was wondering who all here uses dash cams and which ones do you prefer. I'm thinking about grabbing some. There seems to be a lot online but not exactly sure which route to go. I would prefer the sticking (non suction cup) type as it would have less vibrations and be more permanent. Plus something low profile. Thanks in advance
  2. Is it just for the dodge fogs? Reason why I ask is because I could order one for my moms expedition. Kind of a just cuz thing. They are pretty cheap IMO. And if it helps the group with the discount.
  3. Lol, not money to burn, but for people who want a superior product.
  4. I contemplated doing this. I just didn't know if the DRL was PWM or reduced voltage. I was going to do rigid SRQ. Figured it was more than I would be willing to spend and I would have wanted hyperspots more than anything in the high beams. And I have yet to find an LED bulb that actually works in a halogen housing.
  5. I seen that pic in your gallery, I'm surprised they didn't write it off. lol. The Ford headlights on average take me an hour to hour and a half to split one. It is a huge pain but I'm getting pretty good at it. lol
  6. I'm going to split the stock ones, I can't seem them being any harder than Fords Permaseal.
  7. I'm painting mine black. The all Chrome is nice though because you get a bit of a soft glow, much less than a halogen in the reflector, that will light up signs just enough to read than. That's the worst part with projectors, can't read signs in low.

    Hello

Sweet. Ya the wife hates when I mod her vehicles. But I love it. Usually I only do lighting on her vehicle. But I actually drive the journey quite a bit. So trying to make it unique.

    Hello

Meh, this will probably be the last of mods for this. Saving up for the GT turbos and fox 2.5 suspension for my truck. Working on vehicles are a passion. Now that my 71 mustang is almost done I'm onto new projects.
  10. Putting in my order, what size of dust caps would fit on the back of the headlights? Anyone know? Oh ya, Black Friday sale is on and 7.0's were released today.
  11. I've done 3 mh1's and 1 d2s. As you seen in the other thread I was going to do d2s 55w until TRS told me it could handle 55w. It's a no brainer to me for the ease of install. I just hope they don't take forever to put it on their website. I was going to order for their Black Friday sale.
  12. Just talked with TRS, they confirmed that the new mH1 7.0 can handle 55w bulbs. I don't know about you guys but I'm pumped about this.
  13. ^ This. $170 is pretty cheap for quality like that. I paid $350 each for my JW speaker lights I retrofitted into the fogs in my F150 before anyone had fogs for them. Having the bright LED's with a cutoff like the JW speakers or Morimito make it for a nice light, and you don't blind oncoming traffic. Plus the fogs are blacked out then which looks pretty sweet.
  14. D2S 55w. I thought about doing a quad, but the only thing that would fit in the old highs would be a match box projector. I've also thought about throwing a RIGID SRQ in the high beams, but I would need to do something about the DRL then. Oh and just saying, the stock headlights suck. Drove in the night for the first time, could believe how dim they were. lol
  15. Do both, I'm just waiting for the black friday TRS sale..... and time. lol

    Hello

Light bar showed up. Single row with 15w LEDs. That's over 15,000 lumens on a single row 20". Lol I really like the beam pattern. Will be installing it my next days off.

    Hello

Thanks guys. I already have a Hanning LED Pro Series 20" light bar coming with 2 relays. Why the two relays? Because I like to have my light bars only activated by the highbeams. Of course there is an off option for when on the highway, but that way if someone meets us on the back roads only one switch is needed to turn off the bars and high beams. Only way I could figure out how to make this work with the highbeams as DRL is to have 2 relays. One connected to the lows and one to the highs. So when the lows are off (drl) the bar will not come on with the drl. But when the lows are on and then the highs are activated the bar will get its power. Living in Northern Alberta and having family in Northern Saskatchewan, we travel a lot of back roads. I will do a write up in the off-road lighting section when it is done.

    Hello

Hello, I know I've already posted a couple times but officially picked up the Journey today. Lighting mods are already being ordered. It will be a slow build, but I look forward to see what all I can do to make this dodge our own. It is a 15 Crossroads AWD. The wife seems pretty pumped with it.
  19. Lol, been there done that in my teens. Won't do it on a family vehicle. Plus you want shocks valved for the springs. May need to look into custom, but guessing it isn't worth it at that point.
  20. I will refrain from posting pics of the headlights, although with the square projectors and shrouds, it did turn out good. But here are some output shots of the projectors themselves. Now this was done with an iPhone so don't expect that great of photos. I should also mention that the lights don't look even, that's just because j was on my gravel driveway. The hot spot was what blew me away, very well focused.
  21. Just finished the D2S Retro on the expedition, worked out flawless and really good output with the 55w ballasts. Def going with this set up on the Journey.
