Yes it will bolt on the same. The most noticeable part is the sound when you step on it and get it to a higher rpm. I did notice a little better throttle response at the higher rpms but under normal driving you won't notice the minimal gain. Cold air intakes are best paired with other mods, which there aren't many since the journey isn't viewed as a performance vehicle. It's up to you what you feel is worth putting on your vehicle. Your money, your car, your enjoyment.OK guys new to the dodge family ive always driven a toyota but i decided to make the jump to dodge and recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Journey SXT 3.6L From my understanding of what i read and the couple pictures i saw the K&N 69-2546TS Air Intake that fits on the 2014 Dodge Avenger will fit on the Dodge Journey 3.6L almost identical. AM i correct? Also What do you guys think of the small upgrade in a CAI? Do you guys think its worth it to get the CAI or should i just stick with the K&N air filter?

Carritt, here are some pics. Just a bent piece of sheet metal riveted to the original shield.
Nice, that's kind of how I thought of doing it. But I also thought about having a piece attach by the cowl on top of the grille so the air is guided to the air filter more.

.Carritt I did the same thing, and added a bit of sheet metal to make a good seal with the hood when closed.
I thought about doing that but just never took the time to try it. Can you post a pic? I'm curious to see how it turned out.

The black plastidip is pretty subtle with the granite crystal, not to mention the fact that it's dirty haha
I didn't expect it to last this long, specially since I didn't do a super thick coating. I also used frog tape which is why the edges look a little serrated. I didn't want to peal it just so I could see how long it could last... And it's still not pealing at all

I looked at these shortly after purchasing my DJ. I decided instead of paying for something to stick on and hope it works I'd try plastidip since I had a few cans sitting around. For $6 and about a half hour to an hour of time the plastidip has held strong for about 9 months now. Even with multiple dogs jumping in and out.

If I lived where I needed one I'd probably get the biggest and put it with the roof rack.
The rails sit too far back to make good use of a light bar. You would have to extend the rails somehow or best option would be to bolt to the roof just above the windshield. I did consider it haha.

A light bar is the best way to go. You can get some cheap bars on eBay. I got a 24" for $50 it works great in the country. I have a thread I started that shows what I did.

But like you said you don't want to use this light with anyone in front of you, they WILL get blinded.

Do you get any light from the b/u lights? I'm looking for a brighter bulb to put in mine because they are not bright enough.
I have very bright LED bulbs for the reverse lights and with the darkness of the plastidip over them they could not be seen if you were in the drivers seat and backing up to a wall. The only reason I didn't tape them off n the first place was because it was purely experimental. On the avenger I had I taped off the reverse light so it could be seen easily before spraying.
As for the bulbs I got mine on eBay they really light up and make a difference in visibility

Holy moly thats dark. But i gotta say its looks hella good to me. And you achieved that with plasti-dip. I had no idea you could see through it like that. I have to assume thats at least three coats. Looks good man nice job.
It was 4 light coats of regular black dip then 3 good coats of glossifier to give it better coverage and a little shine. I recently peeled it because I missed the bright lights my led reverse lights emitted. I do like the way they looked so I plan on getting vinyl tint but will end up cutting along the clear portion of the reflector to allow the light through.

I stand corrected, but in my experience with the mopars I've owned I have not gotten flickering from a properly functioning relay.

Dodge of Burnsville is a shady dealership. I've heard of problems from them and also had a personal experience when my father and I stopped by to check out Rams for him. They only care about taking your money. If you're able I suggest driving down to Jeff Belzers in Lakeville. My father and I have both bought vehicles from them and have had very good experiences with them, sales reps and service reps. Good luck.
