i dont know how to post pictures on here but looking at your pic above here the horizontal hole towards the front go about half half towards the front and place a screw there that is where i did mine on the passenger side and just use a small screw about half inch long with a good size head and or washer... my wife has about the same problems as yours and that is why i believe it gets broken as the seat kind of sinks down to the top of the plastic side panel and then gets dragged outward and breaks... good luck  do it now before it breaks for a more secure sde panel

well to beat a dead horse, try this ,near where the clip that breaks drill a small hole then use a small black crew that has a small head on it and you won't have no more problems. i've never had my drivers side break but on the passenger side it has broken twice on my 2011 and once on my 2014 reason i figured out is my wife when getting out is kind of dragging her butt as she is exiting the vech, after placing the screw there it has never broken again just enough strength to hold it..

... Update: (quite late) but here is a picture of the actual driver’s seat plastic cover part that needed replacing (second time, but not in-warranty this time) so I bought one and replaced it my self in order to save the $100 + labor, taxes, shop fees and whatall ever else. The part cost about $50.00 and about 30 minutes to change out. Also, attached photo of part number in case some on here needs it, thanks to all who assisted on here with this. Please note this part is for the driver’s seat that has auto adjust and lumbar).

google      ome dodge journey interior parts online.....    copy and paste this then click on it then scroll down to your year journey then scroll down to #5 and decide which one you want. took me about 5 minutes to find on the internet. to install it won't be to bad but i believe you will have to undo the seatbelt  then reinstall it..... and yes i had to fix my right side on my 2011 and then it broke again after warranty went out, fixed it with a black screw, no more problem ,  also on my 2014 on the passenger side again broke did the same as jkeaton said a well placed black screw and no more problem

I think that those who has experienced the issue just figure out how to fix it themselves rather than replace the part with the same part that will break again.

I found the fuse panel on the passengers side under the glove box. Can someone tell me how to drop it down so I can get into it. I found a tab that released one end and it allows it to drop that end by about an inch or an inch and a half down. Where do you go from there. I don't want to force it. Is there another tab holding it in?

Yes, independent mechanic. But the mechanic claims that none of the Dodge dealerships in the greater Vancouver area (2.6 million people) have this part, that it needs to be ordered from the US.
Update: My brother in law (mentioned) says they have these parts available. Not necessary to go through Dodge. Is it standard for independent mechanics to go through Dodge and not other auto parts suppliers?
At this point we are just waiting on a hose, until Friday.

... twin turbo charged 4 cylinder with nitros boost upon floor boarding or towing something just might be enough power to satisfy nay sayer auto-blog article writers/reviewers... but same would have no effect on those who dislike anything Chrysler or Dodge as they are just trying to steer readers towards other car manufacturer' models (the ones they like and secretly are promoting)!

... owned and driven (maybe not a whole lot) for a year and a half + now, nearly 10K miles and all seems well with the 2015 DJC V6. Initial problem with fueling up was corrected at dealership with a replacement fuel filler neck assembly, two FCA recalls completed (one pending) and a minor broken part by a service technician (dealership will replace) are the only issues thus far. I'm well aware that not all DJ owners are satisfied with theirs for various reasons and I hope they can get any and all problems and/ or issues resolved to their complete satisfaction, praise the Lord mine has been 'a good ride' !

... yes as dhh3 stated refer to your owner's manual first and if confident in your ability with such things, see if you can determine where the fuse is for it and once located if it is blown/burnt. Most of the time a blown fuse when replaced (with the correct replacement) works good again... but, if the fuse blows again that's a good indication that there is a problem somewhere that needs a qualified mechanic's attention ref: possible electrical issue/short/etc.

... seems as though the majority of bad news about the DJ revolves around the 2009/10 models and all of the 4 cylinder models being under powered. The V6 is quick and powerful but the news auto-blog articles zero in on the 4 cylinder and push the V6 aside after a short comment on them. I have no experience with the 4 cylinder model so I can't comment as to if there is an actual power issue or not. Dodge should pay heed though and determine if 'the 4 needs more' ?

... if I'm reading this right you must have an independent vehicle mechanic and not associated with a nearby Dodge dealership, anyway my point is can your mechanic get the part from a nearby Dodge dealership who probably carries the part in stock there so you can drive your DJ sooner?
