shake in the front end of my Journey

Recommended Posts

Having a problem with my 2013 Journey,
after switching back from my winter tires I noticed a small rumble and vibration in the front end, it appears whenever the car is moving (forward is all I checked), and coasting (foot off the throttle and foot off the brakes) it would rumble and shudder slightly.
In about 2 weeks the issue was much more severe.
Took it to the local dealer (still under warranty) they replaced a wheel bearing, all was good for approx 500KM.
The issue returned and it went from the low slight rumble to a complete all out front end shake and banging with in 60Km. Cant even drive it now, it's headed back to the dealership but Im curious if anyone else has this issue, I really dont want them throwing another bearing into it for a few weeks.
Sounds like the bearing worn is a result of something deeper in the drive line but when the bearing was new there was no underlying symptoms.

MJR013,

I'm sorry to hear about the front end vibration you're experiencing. You mentioned that the vibration only started when you put the summer tires back on? Have the wheels/tires been balanced recently?

Be sure to speak with the Service Manager during your next visit.

Dave
