I need advice on a problem with my 2011 Dodge Journey...

I have been getting a thumping noise in the back when I make left turns. It was time for me to get new tires, so I just had new tires put on. The noise started out minor then got worst after I had the front tires replaced. Then i had the back tires replaced three days later, now it is not has bad, but it is still thumping when I turn. It eventually goes away after I pickup speed.

The mechanic did a quick check when he changed the tires, and he said he thinks its coming from the drive shaft. Any advice on this problem? Has any body else experienced this issue?
