bigunclejethro
To all those who have gone the aftermarket exhaust route, I get really annoying vibrations somewhere in my dash and would like them to go away. I just dynamated my 92 camaro but haven't gotten to drive it yet. Anyone done this in their journey? Any particular places I should focus on? jkeaton
So you have an aftermarket exhaust on your DJ and the dash vibrates? What does "dynamated my 92 Camaro" mean? What exactly are you asking?
Lobitz68
Sounds to me like he is asking for any known areas on the Journey where laying some dynamat may help reduce vibrations from the exhaust...
jkeaton
Ah...dynamat.....I thought he was saying he blew up his Camaro(dynomited)...haha...I was trying to figure out how that had anything to do with a custom exhaust on his DJ. Anyway, I thought the dynamat stuff was for sound deadening, not vibrations.
Lobitz68
it should absorb vibrations to some extent...
bigunclejethro
As far as I know it does both. I haven't gotten my camaro back out yet to test that theory. I have a few sheets left over but my journey is already way more sound proof than my camaro, I figured there may be some weak spots that could use some extra help lol

onecrazyfoo4u
You could always try those polyurethane exhaust hangers (to replace the stock rubber ones that wobble around a lot). Although that may actually increase vibrations...
