Terrible "popp-popp" noise

Recommended Posts

Love our Journey, and it really is a great car as long as you take care of it. Our biggest problem now is on right turns... The car makes a loud popping noise on right turns only and we have no idea what it is. The dealer said they fixed it, but the problem persists and has gotten worse. Does anybody have an idea of what might be causing this noise? Its getting annoying and we want to give the dealer an idea of what it might be... They can't seem to think of anything relating to the problem. Overall, its a great car and we recommend it, just a few minor problems here and there.

Thanks!!

If the noise is constantly there and the mechanics have no clue as how to fix it then maybe you should try another dealer who may have a fix for your problem and save you from a lot of aggravation.

Faster pop sound when moving faster? What did the dealer do? Sounds like a CV joint or something related to a CV joint. I'm certainly not a mechanic, but that's my 2 cents.

Peace.

They said they fixed it, but the noise has gotten louder and louder in the past month! Hopefully its all under warranty! Everybody is saying its probably a CV joint or tie rod... anything to do with the suspension setup lol!

We love our dealer and they have been good to us... They will probably fix it once we tell them that its getting worse. They tried lubricating some parts, but it didnt help. Hopefully the problem will be fixed before something craps out!
