  2. I can concur that the Eibach Pro Kit does fit my 2014 DJ (2.4L) HOWEVER with slight modification!

The front springs has zero  issues.  Plug n play.

The rear springs is the problem.  Although the lower ends of the Eibach springs fits the lower end of the suspension , it is the top side that does not fit the standard "rubber boot" of the DJ.  Not sure if it is the correct term (see attachment).

To remedy this you will need to find a suitable rubber boot to accommodate the smaller diameter of the springs and the rubber boot must also be able to fit the upper end of the suspension.  Another option would be to heat and stretch the upper end of the spring to the size of the rubber boot.  Safety issues?  Had it almost for 1 year.  Time will tell.. :smokin:

Am not sure if it is available for 3.6L engine.  Maybe one can enlighten us?

  3. Hi Bam.. it is not from the corvette.  I think they have their exhaust outlet in the middle.

I wanted something similar to the first picture in the post (merc c63), yet I wanted the edges curved.

Here's a pix that you can show to your local body shop.  It would be even sweeter in Carbon.. :hyper:IND REAR DIFFUSER.jpg

  4. Thanks guys.. appreciated!

Depending on how you want your DJ to look, you will require to make a new the rear diffuser if you install a quad tip exhaust.

My DJ has the 2.4L engine (1 muffler, 1 exhaust tip), hence I had to make the new rear diffuser to accommodate the quad tip.  For 3.6L engine it already has a twin muffler hence need not change the rear diff.   Just to note that a mod is necessary only when the exhaust tip is larger than the rear diffuser cutout.

The sequence I did it was to acquire the double exhaust tip (in order to have an idea of the diameter size and its width).  Bring it to a body shop to make a new rear diff.  I will be handy to have a photo of a rear diff to show them.  Put your own flair to it if you want to.  For me, I just kept it simple.  Once painted and installed, I then headed to a muffler shop to install the aftermarket muffler and quad tip.   Fitment was no issue.

    Hope this helps..

  5. Hi guys, I just finished installing my new speakers today! I installed the Mopar/Kicker 77KICK28ab (component) in the front doors and dash and the 77KICK41 (coaxial) in the rear doors without any mods at all. The depth of the speakers weren't as deep as the info in all my research and they all fit like they were made for my car and they have the same OEM connector as the original featherweight speakers. The sound difference is definitely huge and I'm hearing more details in my music again. I haven't cranked the volume yet since I heard new speakers should be given a couple days of lower volume for breaking them in. I don't know if that's true or not but I figured it couldn't hurt to go easy on them in the beginning anyway and I don't want to chance damaging them.

Hi RCman, I have a 2014 DJ R/T with the Alpine system. Do you have the pictures of the original Alpine speakers vs the Mopar/Kicker version? How hard was it to swap the in dash speaker? And how about the Sub, what did you change them into?

  6. Had read through all of the 8 pages. Wow! Just intrigued on why this can't be easily addressed by the dealer?

I do agree with the input that someone had raised to list the firmware that those had issues with. We could go a step further by listing the Uconnect version, map version, country version, etc. The more detail the better. Maybe to also indicate what other options are within the unit. Like for example mine has no xirius. Compile this info into a Ms.Excel/Ms.Word file for future reference.

I know its a long shot but at least through the above we can analize and see if the problem are happening to which unit, uconnect firmware, software/options installed within the unit.

Mine have not had any issues for 2 years that I had this car from new. Still bellow 30k. Yet this thread gets me worried as my warranty will end next year. Furthermore, what worries me more is that my dealership do not give extended warranty for Indonesia. :(

This thread had started since 2014 and still the problem persist. Would request moderator to put it as a sticky!

  7. Two days ago I decided to see what the fog light covers would look like gloss black since your diffuser looks amazing gloss black, they actually turned out amazing and such a huge difference. In the pic yous can see the gloss black I painted and the black plastic on the bottom of the bumper, and my magnaflows are great now. Still too quiet for me but any louder and drone gets worse, might eventually remove the stock reso again and maybe try an aftermarket reso or another small muffler from single to dual and run new pipes to the magnaflows at the back.I was talking to a guy and he said the back are resonators and the middle pipe under the passenger side is the muffler, he pretty much called me stupid and says he is 100% that the backs are resonators and the middle is the muffler, anyways he posted a video and says it sounds great and with very little drone, I doubt it, I bet the drone is intense during shifting which is often and that alone would get annoying ha-ha. But when I installed the 3.5 inch resonated tips it made is deeper and not as loud. Im content for now I guess haha

Nicely done mate. U should paint the other panels! ;) I like the red stripe u put there. Is that red paint or sticker?

Am pretty sure the resonator is the one in the middle. What is a resonated tip?

  8. Do you know where your DJ was made? Man, I love the red! It seem to be a redder red than I have seen on the forum. What are you using for the shine? It is awesome! :love_shower:

Forgot the name of the color. But it's the only red dodge offer. All DJs should be from the US isn't it?!?

Every six months I go to Meguire to get it polish and coated. Their product have always been great.

  9. What are you running for exhaust? Besides tips.

Not much choices where I live. Am currently using Remus exhaust with the stock resonator. Slightly bassy on idle/low rev and it slowly diminishes at higher rpm?! Dunno how to explain it but it seems like the K&N Apollo sound louder inside the cabin at high RPM than the exhaust. It drones a bit at 2500 rpm so will install some sound deadening at the rear end.

How was your magnaflow setup? Did you manage to get rid of the drone sound? Do you know if there is a universal valve exhaust system out there that can be applied to DJs?

For the diffuser, you don't really need to buy another set. The bodyshop will make a replica of your existing one and work from there. Just make sure to ask the shop not to ruin the original diff so that you can reuse it.

@Sean: It costs me less than USD 200 in total for the custom diff and to paint the other lower panels.

  10. @dhh3: Thanks. I like it more!! It's not black chrome. I had actually painted all lower panels including the new diffuser with gloss black.

    @Steve_T: yeah.. just one off.

@Cody: It does look subtle. Try and find a good local bodyshop. Am sure they can do it as per your design. Initially I wanted in carbon yet it takes two week. If I did that I had to customize the front and side skirt to match. Just to much work and creativity involved. That would take even longer.

    This is the final product:

  11. Where are those tips made? I have never heard of them. Can you post a picture of what they look like uninstalled? They appear to be just the thing I need for my Hellcat SRT!

    Its an Akrapovic tip.

This is how mine looks like. Custom made with 1 inlet and 2 outlet:

Bellow are the original Akrapovic tips which are individual tip:

If you want the old version:

Many choices out there, you may google them.

  12. Is yours a two row or three row? The car appears lower and sit even, front to back. Mine sits higher in the back than the front, which I like, but maybe it is designed this way to take the weight of people sitting in the third row.

It's a third row version. Maybe its the angle when I took the picture.

In person it does look slightly higher at the back. Maybe it's due to the spring design? As it is a progressive spring.

We rarely have the third row used anyways. But will see how it looks and handles with more loads. Thanks

  13. They should have it for 2015 DJs.

I had purchased the original deflector/visor from my local dodge dealership and it was difficult to install even by their qualified technicians. I think it took them 1 hour or so to install.

Had left the windows unused for 2 to 3days in order to let the original double sided tape sticks. However it could not hold long and slightly came down around 1mm - 2mm on all side. I took it off and change into 3M double sided tape and it still could not hold tight. I think it is a bad design. Not worth it in my opinion. Maybe there are other brands that are better out there. But non are available from where I live. Happy hunting!
