  1. So what was included in the tow package? The only one I've found on the Mopar site was a full harness that required drilling holes in the jack box and wiring to the taillights plus two circuits to the battery. Lets assume that the connector contains Right & Left Turn/Brake lights, Tail Lights, Backup Lights and Brakes and that you get ground from the frame or no brakes and it has ground. Does it connect directly to the plug or does it wire to a controller then the plug? How much can it drive? The Factory harness from Mopar looks like it contains drivers for the lights, aux power and a brake controller all connecting to a 7 pin connector so nothing else is required. Need more information.
  2. Here is the connector that I found, I think it looks about the same. Does anyone have the pinout or where to get the mating connector? It does not look like this is used with the factory wiring kits that I've seen so far. I hate the idea that it's not live and that the vehicle has to be flashed before it can be used. Would not be as bad if they included the connector.
  3. I've never seen the trailer tow package listed on the Dodge web site for the 2014 Journey. Is it listed some other way?
  4. This bothers me because I thought that if it was in park, the key left and the lock button is pressed you could not get it out of park much the same as when using remote start. If you leave your car and then loose your key then yet you could not move the vehicle but that's very unlikely to happen and I could live with that especially if you could program the action. As far as the dings, you should be able to program it so that once the door is opened and closed and the fob is no longer detected inside the vehicle the dings stop. This way someone else in the car does not have to listen to the dings while you run into the store. I was planing to use this much like the Police K9 units when I have to leave the car for a few minutes. If I shut the car down and use the remote start then the car turns off within a few minutes which is not good. I was planing to purchase one of the heat detectors used in the K9 cars for the remote temperature alarm but may have to get the full package to make sure the vehicle is immobilized but the engine runs so air is still on. They are built for various Dodges so hopefully they work on the Journey.
  5. Personally if I got a set it would be functional so I could push someone.
