  1. Or for cheaper just buy angled pipe and a filter? Gone your route in the past, it's just a hot air intake. At a stand still temps get to 160+ deg, power loss!
  2. Sweet! Any sound clips?
  3. Really? There's no way it doesn't downshift to 4rth or 5th. Mine does it with just me and a incline, it revs so low on the interstate.
  4. It's a cheap great sounding mod, who cares if it only makes a few horsepower. The 5.7 doesn't make much power off a exhaust either. Biggest boost for a full exhaust is for turbo'd cars. And saying you'd buy a srt8 makes me ask why did you buy a journey then? Srt8's are like another $50k!
  5. Wow really? Have you heard how sexy the 3.6 sounds with a exhaust? Soon as I save up some money I'm getting mine redone again. Had the others all fabbed up cost @ $375 total, but now with a hitch they don't fit! For sale if anyone's interested, all you have to do is clamp or weld on at the T.
  6. I have done exhaust systems & intakes to every practically new vehicle I've ever owned never ever had any dealership issues. I think the rears are more mufflers and the one under by the driveshaft is the resonator. I had a 2012 Avenger 3.6 with the Magnaflow catback plus I removed the resonator on it, it sounded awesome as well. But my 2013 Dodge journey 3.6 with just the rear mufflers removed with straight thru stainless mufflers sounded alot deeper. But the Magnaflow on the Avenger was more of the "suitcase" style.
  7. Why would that void your warranty? 80% of the chargers & challengers do this right off the lot! Plus they would have to prove that the missing mufflers caused the problem. I had straight thru mufflers on back there it sounded awesome! But when I put my hitch on I had to go back to stock. For now! I loved how the exhaust sounded! Best V6 exhaust sound I've heard! Had the Mustang guys turning their heads and smiling! You haveto do some qquality sound clips & pics!
  8. I'll tell you what every other online forum member would say: SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND!
  9. You guys aren't getting my drift! You can't pull a signal from the speaker wires! It's a Canbus signal! Without the load from the speaker the stereo doesn't send a signal.
  10. Wow really? Are you pretty new to the car audio world? Precision Power has been around forever.
  11. Had many dif boxes, those bass bunker boxes are the best I've heard! Had many slot ported boxes, never had the bass hit these have! Plus they fit perfectly back there, I used 2 boxes just on case I need to remove one for room. If you can find a way of amping the door speakers without the stereo cutting a signal that would be a miracle!
  12. The Pac C2A-CHY5 is the only way you will get rca patch cables working, it's plug & play, trust me tapping into the speaker leads won't work! I originally purchased a Soundstream oem integration unit and tried that method and it toasted the stereo! Luckily my dealer replaced it under warranty that one time! When the stereo don't see a 4ohm load it won't send a signal! I have had a full custom stereo in every vehicle I've owned (like 15 so far....) up till this one! But my 1800 watt RMS and 2-12"s in my journey are the loudest to date! Thank god we have a 160 amp alternator! Tho I do have a 800 cca Optima battery.
  13. I did the same in my 12' Avenger! But I also had a Pioneer 7" touch screen DVD player, which had rca pre outs! You can't replace the stereo in the dj! I am using a Pac unit now for rca outputs, but it only works for the sub amp. Once you remove the speaker wires the stereo stops sending a signal to the speakers and the Pac module, you'll see, been there done that.
  14. Good luck getting a signal with the Canbus! Once you remove the stock speaker wire to the speaker it kills the signal! Or frys the stereo!
  15. It's a good idea but I'm not sure if those little tabs would support my canoe with a oncoming semi! I've found just using a soft nylon strap wrapped around the engine mount underneath, coming up around the license plate holder to work pretty well. No scratches yet.
  16. 1 amp, it was 20" long so it wouldn't fit under the seat! I wish I could figure out a way to amp the door speakers! But once the speaker wires are cut at the doors the stereo stops sending a bus signal! Even at the pac module!
  17. From the album: 2013 Dodge journey

Lime Ice metallic! I hate silver! It's so 80's! Lol
  18. From the album: 2013 Dodge journey

Kind of thrown in the bin for now! Getting there!
  19. 2-12" American bass XFL1244 with a PPI black ice 1800 watt RMS amp. 1/0 cable all the way back. Hits really really hard!
