  1. Well a little update to this. I upgraded my phone from the Galaxy Note 3 to the new Galaxy Note 4 running Android 4.4.4 and when I paired my phone with my truck I was able to get the messaging feature back. So Verizon (or Samsung) took the feature away from the Note 3 but put it back in with the Note 4.
  2. I have a 2013 Dodge Journey with the 4.3 UConnect (non-Nav)... I had a Droid Bionic when I purchased the vehicle in March 2013 and my phone worked with the UConnect with the Phone, phone book and messaging part... In fact my sales guy was impressed that the system in the truck would read my text messages... Well I had to format my Bionic and after that format I lost the ability to do text messaging with my UConnect system... I keep getting phone is not supported. The phone worked great with Bluetooth and even sent my phone book over to the UConnect, but not text messaging. After reading the specifications of the UConnect I learned that my phone MUST support MAP (Messaging Access Protocol) for the UConnect system to be able to send and receive text messages with my phone... When I was looking to upgrade my phone I found that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 supported MAP (According to Verizon's Web Site) so in Nov 2013 I upgraded my phone to the Note 3... when I went to pair it to my Vehicle I was able to get the phone to work and the phonebook to work... but I am still not able to get Text messages to work with my new phone... When I went back to Verizon to check they took out the line in the Spec's that said it supported MAP... when I called tech support I was told that one set of specs showed it supported MAP and another that did not say either way it did or not. I have an open Ticket with Verizon and as of Nov 29th, 2013 the ticket is still open with Verizon. I am hoping that when they release the new Kit Kat version on Verizon that this protocol will be added back into the phone and I can do text messaging between my phone and the vehicle.
  3. Well I think things are getting settled in... Yesterday I filled up with a little under 1/8 of a tank showing on my gauge... and my DTE showed I had 50 miles to go.... So I filled up and ended up with 16.102 Gallons in my tank... So if I had in 2.5625 (20.5 Gallons /8) gallons to the 16.102 I put in I am at 18.6645... And that is a little less than 2 gallons left... so I think we could all go farther than the 50 miles on the DTE, but I am not going to push that... I will continue to monitor this and report back.
  4. Well i dont think i am going to let my Journey run out of gas... but i still find it hard to belive that they are holding between 4 and 5 gallons in the tank "to keep the pump cool" Sounds like some further investigation to me....
  5. Hello, I have a question… I purchased a 2013 Journey SXT V6 FWD about 2 weeks ago… When I picked it up from the dealer it had a full tank of gas in it. When my gauge was down to about a 1/8 of a tank I wanted to fill up… fully expecting to put at least 18 gallons in the tank and to my surprise the truck only took 14.6 gallons to fill it up. So last night I waited until the gas light came on and immediately stopped for gas… again to my surprise when it took 15.8 gallons to fill up… what gives?? Does this truck only have an 18 gallon tank or something? When I bought the truck it had on the window sticker a line specifically saying “20.5 Gallon Fuel Tank” I really find it hard to believe that the light is coming on with 5 gallons of gas left in the tank when the computer tells me I have about 50 miles to go before empty… that sounds like 2 gallons to me. I really think they installed an 18 gallon tank when they should have installed the 20.5.
