Arketect posted a topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.So, I have my phone connected via bluetooth for phone and audio. Its a samsung and not an IPhone. I understand that only the android phones will display text messages when connected. How can I stop the text messages from appearing and interrupting my audio without disconnecting bluetooth?

It is mounted with heavy duty velcro. I need to straighten it a bit, it looks a bit cock-eyed in the pic. Power is tapped into from the rear view mirror. Audio is run along the liner, down the pillar, behind the glove box behind the radio trim and comes out right into the front AUX port of the Mygig. The only visible wiring is a very small amount at where the aux in is located. It is automated so when I turn the key on it will; change the back ground image to the one shown turn off Airplane mode turn on wifi (for hotspot) and change the screen time out to 3 hours When I turn the key off it; Kills all open apps Turns off wifi Turns on Airplane Changes the screen time out to 7 seconds Displays a message on screen saying "Goodbye" Changes background image to a picture taken from an airplane The message and background change is for visual verification that automation is working. The sunglasses panel works like normal so the tablet is completely hidden when not in use.
MKinSoCal posted a topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.Hello. I have a 2013 Journey with the Uconnect 4.3 RSP (I have satellite radio) system in my car. So far, my wife and I have been unable to use the Bluetooth function with our current phones. However, we are planning to upgrade our phones this Christmas. I am planning to get an iphone 5C, which according to the skimpy phone listings on the uconnectphone website, should be fully compatible with my system. However, my wife wants a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that operates on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 Our service provider is Verizon wireless. Has anyone been able to successfully pair either this Verizon phone or another Verizon phone operating on the same Jelly Bean 4.3 software with a 4.3 uconnect system? Thanks and have a Merry Christmas
