  1. You guys have so little faith with Dodge... I expect it to be as awesome as the Durango 2014 update
  2. I researched this further and since I'm in New Zealand I need an Australian unit which should have the map for Australia and New Zealand installed... as there is no way to add new map into the Garmin. The problem is that I don't know what part # exactly that I need. If there is any Australian around here with 8.4n can you tell me your part number for the Receiver , AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3//NAV You find out by pressing the Up/Down left side climate button and the Defrost front button, to go into dealer mode and view the HW number.
  3. Is it possible to go to 8.4 to 8.4n ??? Would I only need this part number? 05091038AF Receiver , AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3//NAV (RB5)
  4. I'm a bit confused with all these rear ac/heating talk, so can someone explain if you don't mind. 1. My 7 seater comes with 4 rear vents, 2 in the 2nd row and 2 in the 3rd row. Are people saying that the 5 seater doesn't come with any 2nd row vents? 2. I normally leave the 3rd row vents completely closed when there's no one in the 3rd row, should I leave them open? does it make any difference? thanks in advance.
  5. It's just a $900 package when you buy it brand new and it is only cosmetic stuff.
  6. The TPM value is stuck in Bar where it should be in PSI in New Zealand, give us the option to switch the values.
  7. Well it sounds like its not possible do it in New Zealand, dealer contacted Chrysler NZ and confirm they can't do it. If anyone in NZ have any success I would like to know
  8. *sigh* I was excited at first because the guy I spoke too seems confident that it's not a problem... but when I picked up my car they gave me the same story. So I'm trying again and insist that they try everything before I give up.
  9. I want the adjustable Air Suspension from the Jeep Grand Cherokee and I will gladly pay extra for that! make it happen Dodge !
  10. I wish I can remove the roof rails cleanly... its not used 99% of the time, carrying it around is a waste of petrol. The bolt is a permanently welded on to the roof of the car... so I don't want to spend money remove it permanently by cutting the bolts of and repaint the roof as it is expensive to do and a waste of feature that will make it more difficult to resell the car later. I hope Dodge can find a better way to attach and detach these roof rails.
  11. The hatch door is too tall and heavy to close!! It's terrible for most women under 6 feet. please offer a self open and closing (motorised) hatch door feature for new model, that would be most awesome and I will gladly pay the extra price. (don't forget to add it to the remote aswell)
  12. great news, dealer said they can enable this option for my RT (I'm in New Zealand) so fingers cross it will work, will be done next tuesday.
  13. thanks for the plastidip tip! might try to make a 'blacktop' conversion with it.
  14. After all your hard work and money, I really think you will be disappointed with the result... you're still better off trading the car for the V6 if you want more power.
  15. Thanks but I'm still a bit confused, did you mean that the High beam is directly below the turn signal because that is how it is on mine.
  16. What does the DRL looks like from the front? is it the same as the Park lights or is it the fog light that turns on ?
  17. If you have an R/T with the same 19" wheels you could just about do this conversion yourself by going to your local panel beater. Repaint wheel to gloss black, Repaint chrome grill to gloss black Repaint Side mirrors to gloss black Repaint silver front underside to gloss black I don't know if doing the lights is easy or not.
  18. This so far my biggest annoyance of all... The rear passenger Door can lock open in 3 different stages, something like 30 degree (1st stage), 60 degree (2nd stage) and 90 Degree angle (3rd stage) I'm guessing don't know the exact angle. anyway... having a 90 deg door is great IF if you have the room for it. Your typical public car park, (in shopping mall etc) , you will never get to open the door that wide. The 30 degree angle is useless unless you're anorexic The 60 degree angle is usually too wide for a regular carpark for passenger to get in and out we often have to hold the door open between the 30 deg and 60 deg angle, and if you let go of the door.. it will likely bounce outward to the 60 def lock position, this could lead to the door banging into someone else's car... or even worse your own car in the garage. Becuase of this the DJ rear passenger door so far dented my 2nd car twice... and I'm annoyed about that. I wish the rear passenger 2nd lock position is the same angle of the driver's which is a bit less and just right for most scenarios. ... or better no locking position at all like some cars. I hope Dodge read this one day and fix it in future models. Merry Christmas.
  19. I think you're being unrealistic with your expectation...this will happen with most cars without a window sill trim and the problem is easily solved by installing one. It doesn't come with it because not everybody likes it. eg I prefer to keep the windows at all times because its quieter and less air polution in my lungs. I would imagine that any car with tapered window will look ugly.
  20. In New Zealand we only get the choice of FWD SXT and FWD R/T both with the 3.6L v6 engine which is fine by me as I don't want to pay extra for a 4WD feature that I will never use. I do agree that due to the size and weight of the vehicle the V6 engine is must have for someone like me. But people shouldn't complain that the 2.4L version is not up to par... if you don't like it then get the 3.6L and the DJ is still the best value car for its class. None of these reviews really take the price into consideration... in NZ the DJ offer outstanding value when you compare it to its competitors (Territory, Highlander, Prado, CX-9, Captiva 7, Sorento R) which are typically over 10 to 15K more expensive. Even if the competitors were at the same price I will still likely choose the DJ for the amazing V6 engine, interior / exterior styling and quality and the entertainment system.
  21. I'm obsessing over this because I don't have a built in navigation with my 8.4" uconnect and I hate cluttering up my dash or air vents with screens that is really not meant to be there. ok I had this idea of placing a navigation screen or some sort into the sunglasses holder, it is actually a great spot for it and it can be tucked away when you're not using it. I took a photo with my iphone (with bumper case) and it fits in between the groove nicely, I think if I stick some a rubber seal for the top part of the phone to rest on it would stop it from ever falling out. anyway i though it look pretty slick and neat little trick for the Journey. Now if you're crazy enough you can take this a step further and somehow neatly trim the Sunglass holder and remove the conversation mirror and the foam padding so you can stick on a proper Navigation unit like the TomTom with the suction cup and you can adjust the angle of the screen. The only problem then is to add power to the Navigation screen... (I don't know what is possible, I'm not an electrician) maybe steal it from the lighting wiring that is already there. or run a really long USB cable or don't bother and just recharge the unit when it is low on battery. Would love to hear anyone thoughs on this.
