Ok. My journey works now after several boost attemp! Im so unhappy about batterry performance! To know that dealership just change it with the new one last janaury just having 1400 kms on it. Now it went dead again at 8500kms. I dont think its normal for the battery to get dead in a year! Is it normal or some issue associated with dead battery last year. Is it necesary to bring to dealership, worth checking of! Please share your experiences!

I washed my journey earlier today. After i washed i brought it home and wipe it dry. When i start again it didnt start! Check engine light came on! It blinked 3 to 5 times and it remained lit. I tried to start several times and it didnt go until evertime i press ignition button all i heard is ticking and nothing is responding no matter what i press. It didnt even go turned off. And cluster panel start blinking and dimming. My 8.4 screen didnt even turn on. Anyone experience like this on thier car?? Fml, it is park on under ground and tow truck cant acess it. Worst is its locked on park position. I dont know what to do. Hopefully its just weak battery! Any suggestion?

Hi all, update for my fob battery. I ran to store and grab fob battery and changes it my self. Non of the function work aside from remote srart that when you pressed alarm goes off. I brought to my dealerand showed! He took my key brought inside for 15 minutes and when he got back we tried and everything works well. I ask whats was the issue and he said he just clean circuit board. He said it could be moist build up due to very cold temp here in our place!! Thank you very much for help and suggestion! :-)

Thank for inputs! I might be trying to take off battery on my other fob and try! Hope i wont break it.. lol kinda scared if i screw up the other one then theres nothing left for me. Im not trying chop your responses it helps me and other forum member. My post may be interpreted like that and it not true but i respect your opinion.

Anyway, im asking for those forum member that already tried thier dead fob. This way i can back up my claim if i go to my dealership!

Has anyone actually confirmed or tried starting thier journey with dead fob? Thats my main worry. Replacing battery is a quick fix i know. But as what ive said in my original post. What if my fob died while im away from home. If somebody seals what is said in manual that fob with dead battery can start thier journey then i think its worth bringing up to the dealership. Can anyone chime in about fob if its cover under warranty?

This morning im about to send kiddos to school. I remote start my journey like i always did to warm up! I live 3rd floor on our apartment building and it used to start no promlem. When we got to car i the engine is dead so i thought its just out of range which is not common! But when going to get inside to passive entry didnt work. What i did is i took out key from fob and open the car to my surprise it alarm like crazy and said key not detected! I knew from this forum that fob has an RKE?? That you still can start even on dead fob battery so i tried to press ignition with fob almost touching the start button but to no avail. It didnt start. I got my spare fob and it works well.

My question is, is there something wrong with my fob? The idea of not starting my car with fob having dead battery freaks me out! What if i am away from home and my other fob is not availabe! Then i have to go back home to grab it and leave my car alarming like crazy???

Another question is.. Is the fob cover by warranty in case its not funcioning the way it should be?

kind of off the subject but did i miss something on the electric seat warmers when remotely started they dont kick on till you get in and touch the start button. dont use it much as weather in alabama is not as tough as you all get up north. seems like the drivers seat should start getting warm as soon as you hit the remote start. thanks for any help

As far as i know it can be set through setting button on your monitor.

Hello everyone, i was looking around and searched catch can, but seems not a whole lot of people install these on their DJ's. I wanted to see if some members have installed one and post up some pictures. Looking at either Billettech, or Speedlogix catch cans. Thanks every one.

Thanks for input guys! Went to Kal tire which happens nearest to my place. They said tire might picked up nail or something and they repaired it for free. Offered me change oil for $66 including tax which i refuse for now because i still have one free oil change from the dealer! I inquire about using synthetic oil and he said it will easily jump to $100+. Never realized that synthetic is that expensive.

That thing confuses me! Why it has to be 6 days to get low. Its my third time adding air on it. It ussually go as low as 191kpi. Another question, In this level of low pressure is it still drivable from point A to point B to add air on gas station? Could it damage my tire?

My tire is always getting low air pressure every 6 days. I just have 8000 kms on my journey. Is it cover/included on warranty or should i just bring it to any tire shop for fix?

My 250G work. Not sure for 500G. Take note that it only accepts audio file. As far as i found out in mine!

Just checked it, it's up to 26.4L/100kms. It's been cold here lately and I think the remote starter has been killing it. This thing really burns gas at idle.

Mine still on 25.2L/100kms. Hopefully it gets better this coming summer!

I tried cellphone charger on my cigarette lighter and it didnt work! Im confused which are broken. My cellpone charger or the cigarette lighter????

Is there any other way to check if my cigarette lighter is working. I dont have the metal thing that they use for cigarette lighter!

I have no rattle sound, the temps been cold and I only have a popping sound intermittently when opening my driver door.

Exactly what im experiencing in my 2012 r/t just notice it when the weather is too cold.. Hopefully it will go away this summer!

Welcome to the forum. I have both Dodge Journey and Edge. And in my opinion they are 2 different vehicles.

The edge i never test drive, thats what i want before i lay my eyes on journey!! They are 2 different vehicles as you said! Is edge way better than journeys?? But for price range it may justify!

I can kumho is terrible with AWD. Whenever i make a turn on icy road and my front wheel starts to slip. AWD worsen the situation because as soon as my AWD kicks in my journey starts to spin.. So horrible, it happens sometime even im just changing lanes.. Im still very lucky that i didnt hit anything when that happened.. Winter tires is always best bet in my opinion!

I did an experiment of turning off STABILITRACK feature on my r/t. Hope it prevent me from spinning!

I just noticed it also earlier. I went to check my engine oil level at cold engine, it was higher than safe range.. I tried to start it using remote while hood is ajar and it didnt start. So i went in and start manually.. Check oil with warm engine and its on the safe range a bit lower than criscross line!

Another thing i observe. It was the first time i floored my accelator pedal and the RPM never went above 3000. Is it normal? Im expecting to see it on redline.. The gear was in park when i floored it.

I hate putting miles on the DJ so we never go anywhere..... B)

Haha i love driving my journey!! I cant wait to put more miles on it.. Oftentimes, i drove my journey with no apecific destination! All i want is to put more miles on it. :-)

Always happened to me! Everytime its extremely cold my external hard disk drive where i stored all my music is not functioning. Not sure if the problem is in the system or the external hard drive being frozen'

It surely includes wireless headset if you got the dvd option. Just let your sales guy know that you didnt got one. I haf to go back to the dealership to pick up mine because he forgot to give it to me when i pick up my journey. They dont normally leave it inside the car. ,,Performance!.. I could say its very poor in terms of range. Since its wireless it clear when you are in 2nd row seat, when your in front and back seat it noise like crazy. You dont hear what your watching because its pur static!
