  1. Kamhillbily!

We apologize for and are very sensitive to the consequences of part delays, and as a result, we do attempt to minimize delivery time to our dealers.

The factors influencing our inventory are many and include supplier availability, storage capacity, and part production/demand.

These factors are continually reviewed to ensure optimal combinations; however, there will inevitably be some delays, which we may not be able to modify.

If you would like me to look into this for you, send me a PM with your VIN and name of your dealer; from there i will see what i can do.

Any news on the hitches? Haven't heard anything back.

  2. In 11 they went to a different fuse style. At this point can probably only get them at a dealer. As changing fuses isn't a common thing, I know we got caught on the first one awhile back, and also had to steal one from a stock vehicle. This was done to save space in the fuse boxes/keep sizing small. There ARE spares in the fuse box.

  3. I am going to stand ground on my previous post. The calculator and fuel consumption doesnt lie... Anyways for you non believers I think its safe to assume that we can agree that even if the filter produces 0 HP and no milage improvment the K&N saves you money in the long haul. Its a one and done filter. a $40 investment ($50 for the reoiling kit) will last the life of your car unless you drive over a million miles. with an OEM paper filter you are replaceing that puppy every year. But I pay for my K&N in milage savings. You guys can pay for yours though the many filters you do not needs to buy. regardless its cheaper to go K&N. many arguments many different points of view but one simple answer. However you want to twist it the K&N will save you money...

It doesn't save you money by letting dirt past, and causing accelerated engine wear. Used to use them, won't anymore, after seeing the issues.

  4. I'm no mechanic, but as I said above, I think K&N filters are probably not effective. My opinion. I think they very likely only treat the driver and do nothing for the car. If Chrysler could gain 1-2 MPG and increase HP by doing nothing other than copying K&N, they would do it, and this discussion would never occur anywhere. Placebo affect is strong. I am partial to objective measurements rather than anecdotal recommendations. That's why I use paper filters and change when necessary.

    Peace.

Now theres a guy who knows what he's talking about. "treat the driver" love it ! And so true.

  5. People expect a new car not to have issues that could possibly leave them stranded on the road.

How is a leaking axle seal going to "strand" anyone??

That's the reason people pay 30k for a new car, instead of paying 15k for a used one.

I was ok with my car having defects and problems, I would've bought a used 07 Pacifica for less than 10k.

And you think a 5 yr old car is going to ride/drive/have all the latest tech goodies/look as good as the new one?

They don't make a trouble free car, nore will they ever, you couldn't afford it if they did. The sooner people get their head out of their asses and realize that, the better off you'll be. Cars take a huge amount of abuse driving in the conditions they do,and last WAY longer than they used to. The little things that people get wound up about make me laugh.

  6. Just put a front input seal in the rear diff on my Journey this week. Started leaking at about 5k. As far as I can tell this only effects 11 and 12s. They were previously sealed with no seals available, accept axles seals, had to put whole unit in. Now an input seal is available. Its been updated and is about twice as wide, and now double lip. Must be a recent update, as mine was built march 2012. Just thought you might like to know there was an updated part

  7. R/T exhaust is no different than reg. AWD exhaust.

As for the drone and shifting issues, no fix as of yet, but I have been told its being worked on when I talked to engineering on friday. Droan may be a flash, and/or something changed and/or added to exhaust. Not happy with the shifting of mine, but no sense pulling it apart, as its a software calibration issue.

  8. Not a smart idea to swap parts cause they "look" the same, can cause alot of damage that way.Journey BCM is probably full of codes now. Journey and Caravan use differnt data bus systems, so switches are differnt, even if optioned the same. Now that said, if you got a Journey switch, with auto options it should work. The switch is differnt, its not a feature u can turn on and off. And there is a device that can go in a change some things, the factory scanner, Witech, its about $7500 plus subscription :-) There will never be an aftermarket device that can do the same.
