  1. I don't believe, that picture shows the new model. It's just the face, what is different to the current model. Rest is still the same. There were some speculations about a Journey SRT 2 years ago. Maybe it shows this, or it's just photoshop.
  2. Fiat sells the Freemont in Russia too. So a Fiat dealer should be able to help You out, because the RHA is also used there.
  3. Welcome on board, Regina! I wish, that Fiat would also bring people like You to the european forums.
  4. I had same vibrations on my 2012 Freemont, I took it to the dealer, because the front brake rotors were warped again. While they replaced the rotors, the mechanics also diagnosed a problem with the front hubs and bearings. They wanted replace the hubs, but Fiat denied this. So I only got new rotors and went back on the road. The vibrations while braking are gone, and on 100-110 km/h it's about 90% less than before. I believe, the reason for the vibrations is a combination of warped rotors and bad hubs.
  5. Holy crap, the parts are cheap at this place. Then dealer price in Germany for the grille is 290 Euros.
  6. Code for grille K1TX83TZZAA is right. Exact the same I got out of EPER. The second part You need is the Fiat logo part# 51785573. Interesting that You can not order the parts, because they come from the same factory in Mexico as the DJ´s.
  7. Here are some informations for You: The Fiat grille is an assembly of the red and green area shown in the picture. Replacing the Journey grille should be no problem, because it works perfect in the other direction. A lot of Freemont owners in Germany already did the conversion successfully. Here is a link to the German Freemont forum: http://www.freemont.de/design/exterieur/fiat-symbol-t1869/index3.html In post #48 there are pictures which compare both grilles, Fiat and Dodge. If You wanna look for Fiat spare part numbers, goto google and type in " fiat eper online ". Eper is the multilingual electronic parts catalog from Fiat. There are some sites out there, which offer access to it.
  8. Thanks Frogbox for Your reply. I look forward to see the face of the Fiat guys, when I show Your pictures to them. Then they have to explain, why they told me bull all the time.
  9. That's right, 16 inch rims won't fit anymore. I'm also interested to know, what the ABS, ASR and ESP are doing now. I'm fighting against Fiat due to the brake issues. They always tell me, it's not possible to make the change. And what about the rear brakes? As I know, they also changed the dimension of the rear rotors.
  10. Yes, hill assist is a standard feature on every MTM model.
  11. The Fiat models in Europe use both ways, depending which gearbox you have ordered. Cars with ATM have the pedal, cars with MTM come with the handle in the center. Hill start is not the reason, because MTM's also have a Hill-Holder-Assistant, which locks the brakes automatic on hill starts. There is no need to put the hand from the steering wheel. This works great and I love that feature.
  12. Almost any cellphone is using the headphone protocol for audio streaming over bluetooth. That's the reason why you won't see any track information on the uconnect display. Bluetooth headphones usually have no display, so there is no need to support track informations.
  13. This piece is not just a radio or musicplayer, it's also a control unit for aircondition, heater, heated seats, etc. So, all that stuff won't work without it.
  14. Hi there, I'm searching all over the web, if there exist any pictures of next DJ model ( 2015 ?? ). The reason is, I read a statement from Sergio Marchionne which said, the next DJ/Fiat Freemont will look like a giant Fiat Panda. I hope for all of us, he was yoking. So if the really want to come out with it in model year 2015, then there must be already some test-cars on the road. Does anyone have informations about 2015 model? Greetings from Germany
  15. Did someone got this procedure working on a Fiat Freemont? I tried it many times ( using the right pedal ! ), but no way to turn the message off. At the end, the dealer did it using his WITECH tester.
  16. If I remember correct, 1700$ was for 8.4" with navigation and 1200$ without nav.
  17. I don´t believe that the rotors cause your vibration. If the rotors are wraped, you will feel the vibrations only when you hit the brakes. First i would check the tires, if they are correct balanced (vibrations at 100-120 km/h is typical for that). If this doen´t help, check bearings and then driveshafts.
  18. Chrysler came out with upgrade-kits to 8.4" for the 2012 models. You should ask your dealer, if there are kits for 2013 too.
  19. A lot of Freemont owners in Germany want to put in the original Dodge grille. Maybe you should open up a website where people can meet an exchange parts.
  20. My first choice are Bosch Aerotwin Blades, but I don't know, if they are sold overseas.
  21. The CD for updating the radio is only one part of the package. There is also an update for telephone module, which only can be done by using a special cable and software from Fiat/Chrysler.
  22. To all Freemont owners with 4.3" Uconnect Chrysler came out with a new update 4 weeks ago. Believe or not, all Problems are fixed! Fiat called all Freemonts with 4,3" in Germany to the Dealers and did the update.
  23. Maybe You would need the SD-slot some day to do a map update. No one knows yet, how the map updates will be delivered (DVD or SD). You should be sure, that they sell you all needed parts for this project. There is a GPS-antenna too, and for sure some mounting parts. If You have to buy some missing parts from Chrysler, i think this would be more expensive, than buying the official upgrade kit. Lebowski. the price You were talking about ist when You buy all parts from spare parts catalog. Since April, Chrysler sells upgrade kits which are about 900$ without nav and 1200$ with nav. I wanted to have an upgrade kit for my Freemont, but Fiat told me it´s not possible to change radio. It will work on on the Journey´s. Nobody knows why????
  24. Brought my car to dealer today . Fiat sent a huge update-pack and called me in. There was also an update for the bluetooth-hands-free-unit, but the dealer did not have the special cable. So I have to go there once again. They promised, that 4,3" radio and PDC should work well now. Oh man, this would be to nice to be true!
