  1. I do not understand your questions basd on our family histroy with recent Dodge/Chrysler products disc brakes do not last as long as 53,xxx K so replacement was log overdue After repair the "Symptoms" were brakes did not stop vehicle swiftly and firmly as stated ABS problems ----corrected
  2. The pedal has no resistance----almost to floor beforetaking effect Porblem solve it was the ABS as I suspected during the initial install of new rotos and pads one of the ABS sensors was not replaced correctly
  3. Took car in for brakes, 53xxxK long overdue $1300.00 later, crap Took back to dealer, they agreed, replaced Calipers Back at dealer, replaced master cylinder set-up Back at dealer ?????? loaner car for vacation My best guess based on experience with Crown Vic ex RCMP car is ABS power module Will see when back on July 08

  5. Anyone considered or have done---putting challenger intake 0n for increase HP to 305
  6. Wife took 2011 R/t in for oil change and slight hesitation------new head---this car gets driven hards over 80K brakes of course--
  7. WE have just received a call from the dealer we bought our 2011 R/T from about this weekend's sale-----NO Payments to year end, 3 day trip to Vegas along with other incentives-----HIgh pressure dealer lots of bling and fast talk. But I complained to Chrysler about our purchase and no window sticker, and received---after purchase---a Friends and Family account # for a serious discount----we are considering trading in the 2011--old facia for a 2011 new facia, using this factory discount. Will keep the Forum advised.
  8. 6700 K and readout is 10.4 BUT this transmission does NOT down shift when a slight rise in the road comes up, it just drags the speed down, and requires more throttle, and uses more gas-----we have been manually shifting in to 5th in order to maintain speed, have not gone over any real mountains but lots of hills in BC and Washington that on the east coast are called mountains
  9. You have to contact U Connect--the phone number is on line
  10. Allpar has dialog about the 2011 Journey having finished production in early May----so anything "built" in late May should or would be a 2012------interesting situation
  11. In no way do I regard myself as ELITIST, but I do think I am practical I have a Chev Truck 07 New Body Style, belong to 2 major truck Forums these models are seperated from the Old Body Style Caliber Forum seperated the SRT from the std injection models Crossfire Forum seperates the SRT from the std units Dodge Dakota R/T had a seperate section in the original Dakota Forum My "interest" in seperated sections for the older models and the 2011 was because the 2011 is a completely different beast than the previous models and any problems and concerns about them has little or nothing to do with the 2011 unit, as Dodge is going to change the Journey for 2013 this will make 2011/12 concernd redundant This Forum is not mine to direct , but I was hoping it was open to user suggestions Terry
  12. I think in the US the R/T models --Caliber and Journey did not sell well with upscale buyers--we had an 09 Caliber Sport? could not find any mention of this model in any Dodge documentation---after investigation it turned out it had sway bars and HD shocks and firmer springs---probably the R/T suspension. Never saw one in the US Our 2011 Journey R/T AWD is firm to the road and handles the rought stuff o.k.---we do not have any snow to worry about---a traffic stopper is 2" out here in BC but comming from the prairies it is nothing. Under the hood cannnot even see the spark plugs and am looking for trans fill----no luck- I run synthetic in all my vehicles, Chev, Harley, Crossfire and hopefully the Journey. Technical information is in very short supply-------I do not use the dealer for basic maintenance--to pricey, bought extended warranty---but I may prove to be a waste of money--based on our history with Dodge------2000 Dalota R/T's. had 2---kept one until last week with 300,000K orig motor and trans NOTE to Moderator----this Forum needs to be devided into 2010 and earlier and 2011 and up--the problems of earlier models are of no concern to me and do not relate to the updated 2011 and 12
  13. The comments about late delivery from rail to dealer in Canada has come about because a major company has taken 200 car carrier trailers off the road due to economics

  15. On AllPar there is a discussion regarding how the Charger got 305HP and they say it is in the Intake Manifold configeration Also they say the Journey --as we know it is finished in 2012 and will become a vehicle, maybe the same name, built on the CUSW platform whatever that is
  16. So far all I have found is ----using the Charger intake manifold will ad 19 HP---keep your eyes on your local wrecker
  17. I think it is because some of the components that make up the R/T are not available ---there are a lot in the pipeline coming from Mexico but you cannot order one to be built----I think the 2012's are already being prepaired-------there are clearances of 2011 Dodge products underway in selected US markets
  18. I just noticed the antenna on the new style facia vehicle our 2011 R/T does not have one in that position (old facia) will look for it when it returns home tonight
  19. Picked up the R/T Wed and drove to Portland for the Swap meet------the Garmin is VERY slow to respond and could not find many streets that we keyed in , our hand held worked perfect---in to dealers on next Monday to check out. Got about 18 miles per gallon average---wife's car and she drives fast 85+ on I 5 highway---do not expect much in the way of mileage yet only drove 2K so far. Found out the Challenger intake manifold will add 18 HP to the motor--will keep an eye on the wreckers
  20. DRB the interior and options are diffeent in Canada-----our 2011 R/T has full leather and all the bells and whistles 19" inch mags --Std is NOT chrome- which in MHO are crap hubcaps
  21. The new R/T will be home this evening, it is my wifes's car and she did the deal on her own--I think she paid about $3k to much, but she knows her own mind. Traded in an 09 Caliber Sport--a bit of an odd ball--had improved suspension and steering--64,000K paid $17,500 she got $9500 in trade. The R/T is fully loaded--came with Chrome Wheels (hubcaps) the dealer traded them out for the multi spoke mags. March production--hoping it has the new facia's --had to be picked up at the marshalling yard and prepped yesterday. Considering that the Journey is such a common vehicle I am surprised there is only this Forum, and no performance upgrades sections. The Crossfire Forum has a full range of subjects, so did the Caliber----we cannot leave our vehicles alone---performance first--damn the gas mileage. We are in the Fraser Valley of BC 2 miles from the US border and we travel there most time--cars or motorcycles. by Sunday this car will have been dirven over 2500K. I call it a wagon just to P.O. my wife. I am looking forward to an expansion of discussion sections.
